I want to take hand written notes when I have to for school. Will I be able to rest my palm/hand while writing on it with out issue like the MS Surface computers or does resting your hand on it effect your writing/stylus' ability?

This system does not have "palm-reject" capabilities, but there are hand-writing software APPs that do offer palm rejection capabilities. If your hand-writing software offers this feature, it will work on the ThinkPad Yoga 2-14.
