Does this have battery protection for extended plug in periods? Once the battery finishes charging will the computer run off of outlet power or will it just continually cycle the battery shortening it's life dramatically?

Once the battery reaches 100% of charge, the battery stops excepting a charge even if plugged in. If the product is being used while plugged in, the battery will discharge and then begin to charge again back to 100%.
