This is the antenna for your WiFi receiver. There should be a connector that it screws onto. Attach it for better WiFi reception.

I just purchased this laptop yesterday and have a question on overheating. The bottom of the laptop is hot to the point where my lap or arm feels warm after holding it. It happens in both tablet or laptop mode. Is anyone else having this issue?

This system should not become "too hot to handle". If the system is working hard, it will become warm but it should not become uncomfortable to hold or have on your lap. If your system is becoming "too hot to handle", we recommend you take it in and have the Geek Squad run a diagnostic on it.
