Possible battery defect... Hovering over the task bar on the battery icon, it reads "99% not charging"; please know that I do have the charger plugged to the device. Does anyone else have this problem?

The energy management system on this device is set up to no continue charging if the battery is at 90% of capacity at the time of plug-in. Let the battery drain down to below 50% and it will charge normally to 100%. This is done to prolong battery life.

Can the gpu be overclocked?

I would like to use dual monitors. Is it capable of this out of the box? If so what are the available video outputs?

This system can handle two monitors. You have 1 HDMI-out and 1 VGA port, as well as 2 USB 3.0 ports that you could convert to VGA or HDMI with an adapter (not included).

I purchased this product. Does it have a product key? Can I back-up the software and later reformat if necessary? I realize I will need to use either a flash drive or external cd/dvd writer, that is no problem.

Yes, you can do a system back up to DVDs or Flash drive and restore to this same system without a Windows 10 product key. Windows 10 will recognize the Motherboard.

Does it come with a sound card? If not where can i find a good one?

Yes there is integrated sound capabilities within the Motherboard. You will have audio capability with this system out of the box, but you will need to add external speakers to take advantage of the sound capability.
