This is a clearance item. There is no stock left at the Best Buy distribution centers. The only inventory left is what is available at the individual stores. You may want to call your local store to see if they can do an inter-store transfer for you.

I just bought this laptop- first of all, why is it so hot on the bottom?-

There are two air vents on the bottom of this system, be sure they remain clear at all times. Also there may be a graphics driver update for your system that will help with this heating issue. You are correct. There is no backlit keyboard, nor a 10-key numeric pad on this system. I don't see the copy you refer to on this Best Buy web page for this system:

the touch pad isterrible- keeps making my screen bigger and smaller- and it is not smooth

There may be a driver update that can correct the bigger/smaller screen issue. Follow the link below to Lenovo.com support-drivers and look for mouse-keyboard driver updates. Be sure to create a restore point on your system before you make changes or download new software. If the feel of the touchpad does not work for you, you can use a mouse with this system. Either a wireless or wired:
