Is the memory upgradable?

The memory should be to be upgraded. With this IdeaPad 1i featuring 8GB soldered DDR4-3200 memory with 8GB SO-DIMM DDR4-3200 installed in the SO-DIMM slot, you could swap out the 8GB SO-DIMM memory for 16GB. Although, for disclosure, 16GB of memory is the maximum amount of memory used in product testing since this test is based on current Lenovo memory offerings.

Can I upgrade the storage capacity above the 512GB that it comes with ?

You can upgrade the included 512GB M.2 2242 SSD for one of larger capacity, with test results based on current Lenovo offerings stating the system supports up to 1TB. It could support more, including the maximum capacity offered for single-sided M.2 2242 SSD drives for Windows (4TB); however, this has not been tested by Lenovo.
