Based off most reviews from other Yoga 7i users, the fans may turn on occasionally to help keep the system cool during updates and strenuous workloads, but nothing commonly expressed as disrupting or too warm. The Yoga 7i features a fan cooling system, along with other cooling effects to help keep the system cool -- even while doing less power hungry, simple tasks. Hope this helps!
