The monitor can be used with a EU plug converter. It can work for local monitoring. However, there may be some issues if using the MyVTech Baby 1080p app for remote monitoring due to different wifi settings between US and EU.

Is the WiFi signal constantly on when the monitor is in the on position? What about when the handheld screen is off? Can the monitor be made motion or sound activated to turn on? Concerned about Constant EMF exposure.

Dear Gabi, the wifi signal will be constant if the monitor is powered on. By turn off the screen of the parent unit would not reduce the wifi signal. Yes, the monitor can be made to auto wake up by sound or motion detection.
