HI, I am trying to set up our new phone system and can not figure out why only Line 2 displays caller ID but Line 1 will not. Please help. Thank you!!

You also need to check with your telephone service provider if line 1 has an active Caller ID subscription. I lost the cable that is used to transfer music/message on-hold from an external source to my VTech CM18445 4-line business phone. Can you tell me what kind of cable is required and if I can purchase it from Best Buy?

Can you enter a contact list to store on the phone? If so does it only store on the handset programmed or all handsets?

Can you call in to this system from the outside & access your voice mails & or can you call forward to a different # from this system to your cell etc.

Hi - The messages left on the built in answering system of the VTech CM18445 can be accessed remotely. The telephone system is capable of transferring calls to an outside line provided that you are subscribed to the service from your telephone service provider.

Does this have call privacy when someone is using one of the handsets?

Hi - The VTech IS8151-5 does not have a call privacy feature. Other handsets will be able to join in on an active call. The said feature is available on the 4 line phone system model VTech CM18445.

I'm confused by the call blocking answers. If there is a limit of 1000 blocked call numbers, that number is reached very quickly! Is the 1000 limit based on manually blocked calls or do the automatically blocked calls contribute to that limit also.

Is it possible to set incoming calls to ring at one phone only, and not all 5+ base?

Jorge - Yes, the ringer volume setting on the VTech IS8151-5 is independent per cordless handsets and base. You can turn off the ringer volume on some handset and still make the other handset ring on incoming calls.
