How far does this monitor reach? I am looking for it to reach through 2 floors.
Rogers - The actual operating range of the VTech VM5254 may vary depending on the environmental conditions and other interferences such as walls, doors and other obstructions.

Does the camera work plug in or with batteries?
Hi - The baby unit of the VTech VM5254 does not have rechargeable battery option. It has to be plugged in to AC power at all times to function.

1. Can I add an additional baby unit? 2 can the baby unit be used with batteries?
Grace - The VTech DM221-2 is a non-expandable baby monitor. You cannot add nor replace the baby unit in the system. The baby unit requires connection to the AC power at all times to function.

Mike - The VTech CM18245 expansion deskset requires a CM18445 telephone base to function. The telephone system has a hold feature.

This is a ethernet port biased phone correct? have bought a different type but it was connected via land line only I needed one where the connection is through the internet.
Hi - The VTech DS6251-2 does not support Ethernet connection. The telephone system requires an RJ11 or RJ14 to functions.

Ash - The VTech Wi-Fi baby monitor works on local mode by default. You will be able to use the parent to unit to monitor the baby once installed. The Wi-Fi mode is an option feature for remote monitoring using your smartphone.

We have two lines in our office but one cord. The phone we are replacing rolled the 2nd call over to the second line. When I plug the cord into this phone’s port that says line 1/2 it doesn’t roll 2nd call from our 2nd line over. Can this be done?
