Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech DM221-2. . You can use the parent unit to adjust the microphone sensitivity of your baby unit. The higher the sensitivity level, the more sensitive the baby unit is in detecting sounds for transmitting to the parent unit. You can also reset the baby monitor by disconnecting the AC adapters and the battery. Wait for 1 minute before reconnecting the AC adapters and the battery, then test the unit again. If this does not help, you can contact our Customer Support at 1-800-595-9511. We are open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays.
