Amer - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech CS6949. The cordless handset may need to be registered to the telephone base. When the system is not in use, press and hold the Find Handset button on the telephone base for about 4 seconds or until the in use light turns on. Once the in use light is on, press the # or Quiet button on the cordless handset and place it to the charger. If this does not help, please contact our Consumer Sales and Service Center between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Friday at 1-800-595-9511.
