Hi - The VTech CS6619 has an intercom feature if the telephone base has at least 2 cordless handsets registered to it. You will be able to have a handset to handset conversation.

My current phone handset has a flashing light indicating I have a message. I like the fact that I can see it from across the room. Does this VTEC have one?

Char - The cordless handsets of the CS5129-26 has no flashing light for new message indicator. Instead, it will display "New Message" when there is at least one new message recorded on the built in answering machine. Only the telephone base has a flashing light (Play button) that indicates a new message recorded.

How do I find the number of a message that was left? It says unknown where the callers name should be but i don”t know how to call them back.

Hi - The VTech CM18445 will display Unknown instead of the Caller ID information of the caller if the information has been set out of area. The phone will not be able to identify the phone number of the caller since the telephone service provider sent the Unknown information.

How far away from the child does the child's monitor have to be in order to hear them

Redgirl - It is recommended to install the baby unit of the VTech DM221-2 at least 3 feet away from your baby. You can use the parent unit to adjust the microphone sensitivity of your baby unit. The higher the sensitivity level, the more sensitive the baby unit is in detecting sounds for transmitting to the parent unit.
