Without having an authorized repair technician look at your TV it would be impossible to definitively say what is causing the problem with your TV, but if this DLP TV is six years old and you haven't replaced the lamp yet it is most likely the lamp.

I would suggest calling the Mitsubishi to get a list of authorized service centers in your area, and then calling them to arrange for a technician to look at your TV; you could also call 1-800-GeekSquad to arrange for one of our technicians to come out and diagnose the issue with your TV.
