My TV won´t turn on... what´s wrong?

Few days ago my TV had some delay while turning on but worked as fine as always. Today it just won´t turn on. The red led on POWER button just blinks but nothing happens.... what is wrong??
I’m sorry you are having an issue with your device. Although with the information you have provided I do not have a solution for you; I will say that if you contact either your local Best Buy's geek squad or 800-SAMSUNG, the service departments should be able to provide you with a live solution.

Samsung - 40" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV
Samsung - 40" Class / 1080p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV
With a brilliant 1080p display, 60,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and multiple HDMI inputs, this HDTV provides a stunning focus for your multimedia center.

Is it auto volt? 110-240 v

If you purchase the unit within the North American Territories, it will only have support for NTSC/ATSC/QAM broadcasting systems and only 100v-127v 60Hz power. Outside of the NA territories you will not only need a converter for the broadcast, but also for the power.

Can I connect external speakers.

We do not want Home theatre system, just want to add some type of external speakers that point forward. (Speakers on this unit are underneath the TV.)
If external speakers are an option, how would they be connected?
Unfortunately, in order to use external speakers, you will need a separate receiver, since speakers can not be connected directly to the TV. You can use a sound bar that has the receiver built into the unit. For more info on the soundbars, you can check this unit out:

Watching downloaded movies from iphone

A guy I know says he's able to watch movies he has downloaded on his iPhone on his LCD HDTV. I would like to know if this TV will allow me to do that also? And if not, can you suggest one that can? Thank you.
Unfortunately, this specific TV, LN40B530, can not display movie files from a USB device. You will want to look at the LNB630 and above. As far as playing from the iPhone, unless you can connect the iPhone via USB and have the phone act as a USB mass storage device, there is no iPhone/iPod connectivity on any Samsung TV.

What is the difference between composite a/v and component video

Great question! The short answer is that the component video will give you a more accurate picture signal then composite. The long answer is that composite video uses RCA cables (red, white, yellow) to transmit info over the cable. Component uses Red, Green, Blue cables to more accurately transmit the video signal while still using the Red and white cables for audio.

What's the region code.?

I want to buy a dvd that is region 3, so is this compatible with other regions besides region 1. will it work with dvds that are region 3, or can it play dvds from all regions.?
If the unit is purchased within the North American territories, it will only be Region 1 compatible. Different region DVDs and BDs may not work with this unit.

Where is it made? China? or Korea? Where?

From the info I have, most Samsung TVs are assembled in Mexico with the parts manufactured in Korea. Being that Samsung is a Korean company, it only makes sense that the parts are manufactured there.
