Do you need to upload any security, such as McAfee, to the tablet?

I'm sorry, but I cannot tell you whether or not to install a virus or security protection app. It is up to you to decide if you need this sort of app based on your browsing and downloading habits.

Does this mean that the TV automatically connects to the internet? Or do you have to purchase a wireless adapter?

WiFi built-in means that the UN55ES6100 will be able to connect to a wireless home network without the use of a secondary WiFi adapter connected to the TV. However, you will need an internet connection in your home, and have that internet connection shared over a wireless home network.

is this upgradeable to 32gb

I'm sorry for the confusion, but none of the Samsung Tabs will offer user upgradable internal memory. However, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will offer a built in microSD card slot that will allow it to support up to 32 GBs of SD memory.

Is the Samsung QWERTY Remote RMC-QTD1 compatible with this model?

Although the 2011 QWERTY remote control is not compatible with any of the 2012 models, the UN55ES6100 will offer compatibility with just about any USB 3rd party keyboard and mouse.
