Why don`t they make the models so we can control the water level?
The machine doesn`t really fill it up on it`s own
Like other high efficiency (HE) washers, the water level in the WA484DSHASU is determined automatically and cannot be adjusted manually in order to ensure it maintains the water and energy efficiency it is designed to meet.
Most HE washers, including this one, are not designed to submerge clothes in water, but rather to circulate the clothes through the water and the water back over the clothes. This is made possible by the stainless steel pulsator which creates a "blossoming" action as it tumbles the clothes. Samsung's HE top loaders do use weight sensors to help determine how much water to add to the wash, ranging from about 18-40 gallons.
