Does this play PAL-format (region 2) DVDS?

If you purchase the unit within the US, it will only have support for All Region and Region 1 DVDs ("All Region" DVDs refers to DVDs that are marked as region 0 or "Region All". This does not mean the player can play every regions’ DVDs), and Region "A" Blu-Rays. However, these units will only have the ability to work on US power grids.

Will it play movies off of my hard drive in other formats like MP4, WMV, etc through USB Port?

Can my hard drive be in NTSC format or does it have to be in FAT32?

Although the BD-C6800 will be able to play AVI, MP4 and WMV video formats from a USB device, in order to access content from a USB device, the device in question must meet all of the following requirements:

1. It must offer a Mass Storage Mode
2. It must be formatted in a FAT file system
3. It must not contain any DRM content. DRM content is not supported by the Samsung TVs

Will this player replace my samsung surround sound receiver.

I am looking for a product that is wifi smart and is blue ray capable but replaces my surround sound receiver. I have great working speakers and wireless in the back and do not want to buy any packages.

From the available information, the BD-C6500 is a stand alone Blu-Ray player and not a home theater receiver. That said, receivers for Home Theater Systems in a Box are not sold separately.

Netflix capability

does this have Netflix capability? Meaning, can I upload movies from it or do I have to physical order the Netflix movies?

From the available information, none of the Samsung DVD players will offer Netflix connectivity. Only the select Samsung TVs and Blu-Ray players will offer Netflix connectivity.

WIFI Connection

I was able to connect for a short time to my wireless router but now my player won't connect. I have checked my settings and when I run the network test I get a error during the Gateway Ping test. I know the internet is working and so is my router since my wired computer and laptop are both working. Any suggestions?

Does this player convert 2D to 3D?

Although the BD-C6800 will allow you to view 3D Blu-Rays in 2D if your TV does not support 3D, it will not have the ability to convert 2D to 3D. This is actually a function that should be supported by your TV.

Will this work without a transformer?

I'm currently overseas, and wanted to know the capability of the internal transformer to use 210 power, instead of the american 120.
