Which pair would be the best for Electronic Drums?

I have just purchased a Roland TD 9K2 V Drum set and need headphones that will drown out the environment around me, and not let me hear the tapping of the symbols etc. I was considering the HD 280 Pro, any suggestions would greatly help, thank you
Hello- the HD 280 is the ideal choice-- your initial pick was perfect. I own a Yamaha electronic kit and this is the exact headphone I use to eliminate the clacking and tapping sounds from the pads. I have attached a brief video tour.

If you could only have one pair of Sennheiser headphones, which one would you have?

Hello - without regards to budget or style/size, many would pick the HD 25-1 II, as it does everything very well. It is our "stranded on an island" headphone :) Other popular "do-all" models are:

What is the best noise cancelling (microphone) headphones that I can purchase that will fit most wireless home phones (2.5mm jack)?

Hello- Anything from the CC series (CC 540 included) has the best noise cancelling mic. Mate the headset with the CCEL 190-2 cable to connect it to a 2.5mm plug. I have attached a video that explains it.

Are they big enough

I have big ears and some headphones don't fit and I want to know if they are big enough
Hello-

This model has a smaller-around-ear cup, so in its place I would recommend HD 280.

Can you get a shorter cord (6ft) with the Mp3 plug I believe it is 2,5mm

Can we order a shorter cord more conducive to listening with an ipod. Also can you get a cord with the smaller tip 2.5 mm I believe for an ipod. I know there are adapters, but I want to know if I can get a shorter cord with that adapter.
A shorter cable will be offered from the manufacturer shortly.

How is it connected to a receiver?

Can the RS 170 be hooked to a receiver controlling speaker system? We want to be able to connect the headphones for one person and everyone else be able to listen thru conventional speaker system in the room.
It is important to note that source volume is dependent on your component. The RS series can connect via the RCA or headphone jacks on your components. Generally speaking, the following occurs when you connect a Sennheiser wireless headphone to your component:

-connected to the RCA jacks: You can operate volume levels independently. You can also shut off the main speakers via a menu and continue output to the transmitter (newer components).
-connected to the headphone jack: The speakers will automatically shut off once you plug the jack into the socket. Your volume is now dependent on the level of your component.
-Most televisions will not pass audio from an HDMI connection (example: from your cable box/DVR/HD receiver) to an analog output-- only a digital output.

As stated before, it will depend on your component or television; the transmitter does not shut anything off or change settings...it's sole purpose is to take whatever audio signal it is given, and send it to the receiver/headphone. If you wish to connect to a digital audio output, you would need a digital to analog audio converter (sold for $49 from our sales department at +1 877 736 6434 x1, part# USGEFEN DAC). First check that there is an RCA output or headphone output available on your components (If you are watching TV, also check the set-top cable box/DVR/HD Receiver for outputs if you have one).

Attached is a setup video for a related product (same setup procedure).

How do you connect the base to the TV

Two related questions:

(1) If the TV has a headphone jack, do you simply connect the base by plugging into that jack?

(2) How do you connect it the TV does NOT have a headphone jack?

Digital/Audio connection ?

Can the Sennheiser RS220 headphones accept a direct connection from the digital/audio out (back of HDTV) to the headphone base using only a digital/audio optical cable or do you have to use the analog cable with RCA connectors (red and white plugs) along with a digital audio convertor?
The RS 220 has a built-in digital conversion, so you can simply use the one cable from the rear of your TV.

are sennhesier 2.4 GHz headphones more secure than 900 mhz in terms of neighbors listening in on me

are sennhesier 2.4 GHz headphones more secure than 900 mhz in terms of neighbors listening in on me ?
Hello-

Thanks for writing. The RS 160 system (the HDR 160 is the headphone only...the RS 160 includes the transmitter) is very secure-- you cannot listen in unless the user with the transmitter permits it. If the other party is not with you they cannot tap into the transmission.
