WHAT DOES LCD AND LED MEAN ON COMPUTER MONITORS?
Great question! LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display, is the name of the primary display technology in most monitors and televisions sold today. The LCD panel needs a light source to work. In older televisions and monitors this was usually a cathode tube, but more recently manufacturers have started using LEDs, or light-emitting diodes. LED-LCD displays are more energy efficient and have better contrast ratios, so they are generally considered better quality than a standard LCD monitor.
