I got this monitor when it was on sale, but it's definitely a great value even not on sale. It was originally connected to a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080, and now it is connected to a brand new RTX 3090 Ti I got yesterday. In Elden Ring, with the graphic settings set to "maximum" and HDR turned on, the picture is sharp without even a hint of blurring or lagging. The monitor is running at 144 hz, and the game on the 2080 was over 100 fps at 4k resolution with the DisplayPort. HDMI is limited to 60 hz, so if you buy this monitor plan to use DP instead of HDMI.
I have the monitor sitting about 5 feet away from my head while I sit in a recliner. That's my normal work arrangement. I've seen reviews that say text is not as clear on this monitor, but I haven't seen any indication of that. I have significantly less eyestrain now compared to the 42" 4k tv I was using as a monitor before. The screen is a matte finish so there is no glare even in light coming from the northern facing windows in my office. One thing I will say, though, is that I prefer to play Elden Ring at night because HDR makes the shadows more nuanced. It is definitely bright enough to play during the day. I just seem to get killed a little less often at night because I can see things sneaking up on me better.
This is my first monitor which has a USB cable going to the computer in order to change settings on the monitor. Go to the Gigabyte website to download the OSD SideKick utility. There is very little you can change using the buttons on the monitor or the remote control, so if you want to tweak the settings, you'll need to use the utility. There is another app called "RGB Fusion 2.0" which will let you tweak the color spectrum if you are working with photos or video.
I love this monitor and highly recommend it.

I saw the 1 star review complaining about the hinges, so I decided to write my own review. After a week of putting it through its paces, I can say the hinges are just fine. They feel sturdy, and I have had no issues with using the laptop in tablet mode.
This is the laptop to beat in this category as far as I'm concerned. It's light - 3 lbs - when most 2 and 1's are in the 3.5 to 4.5 lbs range. It does have a plastic case instead of metal, so I guess that's one way it cuts down weight. If you want to see the difference, compare the weight of 3 pints of water to 4-5 pints. I didn't think a pound would make a difference until I compared a 15.6 Lenovo to this one. The Lenovo is nice if it's going on a desktop, but as a tablet, it's quite heavy, especially when compared to my iPad Pro.
I have my power set to "silent" mode, and it is very, very quiet. I can't hear the laptop fan over the ceiling fan in my office. The fan on "best performance" mode is not loud, but it has a pitch which bothers the tinnitus in my ears a little. So far, I haven't needed to use performance mode because everything runs fast in silent mode.
Battery life in silent mode is about 10-12 hours. Charging is fast too. About 45 minutes of charging will get me 6-8 hours of usage.
If you are comparing the 10th edition i7 laptops to the Evo 11 edition i7 laptops, spend the extra few hundred bucks to get the Evo laptop. Intel has managed to combine much faster performance with 2-3 times the battery life compared to the 10th edition CPUs. With this laptop having 16 GB compared to 8 or 12 GB on most 10th gen laptops and having a 1 TB NVMe SSD compared to 512 GB SSD on the 10th gen laptops, you are getting a lot more ram and a much faster and larger disk. In some cases, the disk is about 10 times faster than 10th gen laptops.
Last but not least, the AMOLED screen is simply gorgeous. HDR video sources have true blacks, and the colors are vivid. Samsung includes a utility for configuring the AMOLED screen for different uses. This is hands down the best laptop screen I've ever seen. If you are an artist, this is the laptop for you.
If you want performance, long battery life, and lightweight, this is the one to buy. I usually prefer Lenovo for 2 and 1's, but they've got some catching up to do to equal this Samsung.

I usually buy Corsair cases because they are easy to work on with lots of room for running cables. This case has room for a 3 fan CPU water cooler radiator on the top and 3 fans on the front. There's an exhaust fan on the back, so it's quite easy to get good airflow. Cables route under the motherboard, so the interior looks neat and orderly. The one problem I had was the SSD's I had in my old PC were a couple mm thicker than the SSD mounting bracket could handle. If you intend to use SSD's, check the thickness and compare it to what the brackets will hold. This is going to be my standard case for all new builds.

This is a very nice, easy to use microwave. I wasn't sure about using a knob instead of a keypad to set the controls, but it's turned out to be a pretty straightforward interface. We still have the instruction manual on top so we can look up the settings for things like baked potatoes, and we'll probably make a cheat sheet for the ones we use the most. Speaking of potatoes, this microwave has a sensor cook mode, and big, fat potatoes come out perfectly cooked ready to put on the plate. Defrosting a frozen solid piece of meat is also easy, and it doesn't over cook the meat.

I usually build my computers from parts, but a friend needed a computer which had an RTX graphics card in it because a Chess app he uses actually takes advantage of the Tensor cores built into the RTX graphics cards. He isn't a technologically savvy person, and it isn't easy to take a computer into Best Buy for Geek Squad support right now; so we decided to get a prebuilt system. The first thing you'll notice is that there is a ton of room in the case because they used a small motherboard. As it comes out of the box, everything is neat and tidy, and it's actually quite quiet even in a very quiet room. As for speed, it's an i7 9th generation with an RTX graphics card. Yeah, it's *fast*.
I have an RTX 2080 on my desktop system, and it runs games at 4k on ultra settings. I would expect the 2060 to do just as well.
The only flaw in the one I got is that during shipping the 1 TB hard drive broke free of its slot and bounced around enough that it snapped the sata connector on the hard drive completely off. I was not happy with Best Buy when the person at the customer service counter told me I'd have to bring the whole computer in just to get a replacement hard drive, but the manager on duty that day figured out how to get me a hard disk in a satisfactory manner. Don't count on that, but it did show that Best Buy is trying to make allowances for Covid-19 making it difficult to do things like they did before March.

Apple has crammed some crazy amount of tech into an extremely light tablet. As is typical with Apple, the screen is gorgeous, crisp, and highly responsive. I have the first model iPad Pro with the Pencil, and I can tell you this iPad with the Pencil version 2 is several times faster. Procreate, the drawing app, takes advantage of the new Pencil and the special chip in the iPad just for the Pencil, and drawing curves with pressure sensitive brushes is way easier than with my original iPad. This iPad has more ram than the 1 TB 2nd generation iPad Pro, so if you need big documents or large picture in something like Photoshop or Procreate, it is worth buying a new iPad.
Everything on this iPad is faster compared to the first gen Pro. The camera is better, and the Lidar projector in the back is going to provide some interesting augmented reality apps when developers start using it. If you need to do 3D scanning, multiple of the mainstream scanning apps already integrate Lidar for better, more granular scanning. If you pair this with a Magic Keyboard like I did, you have a laptop replacement as long as the apps you use in Windows have iOS counterparts. Speaking of which, iOS now supports keyboards and *mice* natively, so it really is possible to write Word documents or calculate Excel spreadsheets on an iPad now.
I bought this iPad Pro for drawing in Procreate and to have a light, fast, instant-on laptop for Word and Excel. It also functions as a media player when I don't want to watch on a big screen or when I'm travelling. I currently own 4 laptops and now 2 iPad Pros, and this is what I pick up to take with me when I leave the house. The only thing I don't like about it is the cost, but I do feel like I'm getting sufficient value.

I bought this for my 80+ mom because it was a simple, clean design. It's like a laptop in that most everything is contained in the base and the screen, but it's a better design for a desktop computer. All the connections are in the back of the screen except for the power cord which is in the base, and there's no other wires besides power. There's one button on the base to turn it on and that's it. The little rectangle at the top in the picture is the camera and microphone. They slide down behind the monitor for privacy, which is a really nice feature. The base has nice speakers, so unless you want hi fidelity sound, you have everything you need for teleconferencing or watching Netflix. It's just a very well designed computer overall.
I was quite surprised with its speed too. I have an i7 with solid state drives, so I'm used to fast response times. This computer will probably bog down long before my i7 will, but it easily handled Netflix, Zoom, multiple tabs in Chrome, etc. It's obviously not a gaming rig. As a desktop PC or a media PC in a kitchen or den, though, it's perfect. If you want the convenience of a laptop but also want something more in the form factor of a desktop which takes up almost no desk space, this PC is a good choice.

On Razors site this laptops video memory is stated to only be at 16GB. Someone asked what the video memory was and they stated it was 24GB where did this number come form?
Razer's website specifies that the Blade 18 has 16 GB of dedicated ram for the RTX 4090 for both the 2023 and recently released 2024 models. That appears to be the standard for laptops.
The 24 GB is for the desktop RTX 4090 cards. That is the standard set by Nvidia for all card manufacturers. The RTX 4080 desktop cards will have 16 GB.

Dose this work with iPad
As far as I know, there are no mice which work with an iPad, but this one definitely won't because there is no way to plug in the USB receiver for it. I don't think the iPad would have the correct drivers for it anyway. If you need a mouse with your iPad, ask the Geek Squad if the Apple mouse will work. It uses bluetooth, and the iPad has support for BT devices built in. I think an Apple Pencil would be a better choice though if your finger is not a good enough pointing device.
