Quality product, works well, great for Animals

Dyson products are known for their innovation, quality, and function. This product delivers as well as most Dyson products, if not better at times. The Animal 2 is especially great for users who have pets. Included attachments make thorough cleaning easier and more convenient.
Setup/Impression: Very simple and straight forward. There is not much to "setting up" and you can be up and running very quickly with ease. Very good overall impression and feel. Quality parts and build. You can feel this was made with quality parts and will last a very long time.
Cleaning: I saved vacuuming and cleaning for some time to really test out the Ball Animal 2. Most of the time, the vacuum picked up material in the first sweep, but I'm generally thorough and everything was nicely picked up by the second sweep. There were times the vacuum did not pick up all the pet hair with the main unit. I then used the animal attachment which did a great job at picking up leftover hair. It is very useful for cleaning furniture and other random areas pet hair sneaks in to. All the attachments were useful and did a good job of cleaning rooms thoroughly. I did notice that hair and other materials would get tangled and mixed in the main cleaning head. However, this was minimal and much better than most other vacuums I have used.
Ease: This is definitely a large vacuum with weight to it. But not more, if at all, than any other vacuum in its class. You also have to realize that quality materials make products heavier. Functions are easy to use and the user manual is simple. It has great maneuverability compared to many other large vacuums, but the larger overall and vacuum head size can make it somewhat difficult to get in to tighter spaces. However, this is not a downside to me since this is a powerful vacuum so there will be some drawbacks. The attachments help get in to spaces the whole unit cannot reach. One of the best features is the seamless transition to different floor types. I have three floor types in one level and I do not have to bend down and constantly readjust the vacuum levels. Its gentle on the hard floors and consistently cleans any surface. Very easy to use.
Other notes: Comes with a super hassle free five year warranty. Dyson will literally take care of everything if something is wrong with your unit. However, at this price point and promoted quality, I would expect a longer warranty. Great for homes with allergy concerns.
Summary: Cleans all surfaces very well. Attachments do their job, especially for animal hair. Easy to use. Works on all floors, with seamless transitions and consistent cleaning. Would recommend. I don't generally go for vacuums this highly priced, but I can understand why they are sold for much higher.

Solid option in New age WiFi for Most Users

(Summary Below) The Linksys Velop is another WiFi system that in entering what I call "New Age WiFi". Instead of the traditional one router system, the Velop has three units that provide an "immersive" WiFi experience. There are now multiple product lines from various companies out there. These units are much more expensive than standard one unit or one unit plus optional extender systems. This can be very useful for covering large areas as well as maximizing speed and connectivity for the highest internet demands.
Design: The design is nice. The units are white and have a speaker like appearance on two sides and solid white on the other. These can easily blend in to many areas of the "modern" home without really being an eyesore. All connections go in to a recessed space in the bottom of the unit with a single cable management port. This limits your ability to position the device in any direction (if you're trying to hide wires and use a difference patterned side). However, the cable management is excellent and I really enjoy the cable management.
Set-up: Very simple and easy for the basic user and complex settings for the advanced user. Downside: App install is the preferred method, but I believe you can also use your computer. My personal preference is to not have extra useless apps on my devices but that comes down to your preference. The set up is very quick and easy. You can also customize many settings easily, whether you're a techie or not.
Connectivity: Devices connect easily. My issues are greatest in this section. I understand that WiFi is the most common method of internet connection. However, I think that wired (ethernet) connections are far from being phased out. This device has two ports on each unit. On the main unit you will only have one available ethernet port since one will be used to connect the main unit to your Modem. It is nice that the other units have ethernet ports for wired devices. For power users and those with very connected homes, ethernet ports can be very important at the main unit to connect devices that generally don't employ WiFi. For example if you have VoIP, and a security systems you will have to buy an additional ethernet switch or move your units. Also, connecting ethernet to the additional units mean they are still transferring over WiFi to the main unit which will have decreased performance over wired. This is really for those who are power users, have multiple ethernet devices, and/or ethernet connected homes. Obviously this can be solved with a ethernet switch, but for the price of these devices I should not have to. In addition, there is no USB port so you cannot create a central Hard Drive, printer, etc. Also something that some users require. However, the WiFi signal is strong and handles multiple streams, gaming, and internet use without issue. I do feel that the additional units don't always perform as fast as the main unit initially, but they quickly amp up to full performance. Solid work there.
Coverage: This type of system is great for homes over 2K sq ft (realistically probably overkill for anything under 3k sq. ft). If you have stone walls or connection issues, this device should give you great coverage. I was able to connect 2K interior sq ft without issue as well as another 500-1000 sq feet outside but it could be spotty at times. Fortunately this system gives you the great flexibility of putting a unit outside (under cover and in proper temperatures).
Summary: Easy to set up. Flexible positioning. Great connectivity, Excellent coverage. No problem for average and most power users. I would say good enough for probable 5k sq ft. However the biggest drawbacks are limited ethernet options and no USB.

Easy to set up, easy to use, cleans well

The Genius Steam Pocket Mop is great for anyone who has hard floors. Whether you are looking for an alternative cleaning solution and a way for lessen the physical demands of mopping, I would recommend trying this mop.
It comes with TWO handles! One has the actual steam mop device and the other attaches without the steam to clean up "spills and everyday messes." The best thing about this mop is the amount of thought that went in to every aspect of it. The non-steam handle has an attachment to hold a spray bottle for pre-treating messes to be mopped up.
Both handles are easy to attach and remove. Instructions are well-laid out and so simple to follow. The devices has many features so this was helpful. It includes TWO REVERSIBLE cloth mops that are washable! Very convenient and they are of great quality, not cheap or flimsy.
The steam works well and makes cleaning so much easier. It also sanitizes, which is great for kids, those with dogs, or the elderly. You can easily flip the mop to activate an extra burst of steam for deeper cleaning and flip is right back. Very simple. The maneuverability is amazing! It can twist, turn and rotate in any direction with so much ease. The handles are also long so bending is never required, short or tall.
The steam handle also comes with a nice small bucket to fill with water to pour into the steamer. It also attaches directly to the mop! Never worry about losing it or trying to awkwardly fill the steamer.
Attaching the mop head is very simple and the instructions are clear.
VERY IMPORTANT: One feature that I really was impressed by was the attachment and removal of the cloth head. It is designed so you NEVER have to touch your used dirty mop when you're finished! You detach it very easily and dump directly into washing machine or bucket!
I highly recommend this device. It works great. Its easy to set up. It is highly functional. Worth a try!

Great System, easy to set up, great coverage

The Google WiFi system is perfect for any basic or advanced user depending on your specific needs. Quick facts: user friendly, easy and quick set-up (quick as 10minutes or less), great coverage area, no noticeable speed decrease when power-using.
Design: These devices are great for the modern home. They come with nice white power cords and one white Ethernet cable. The devices are a good size, not too clunky, not an eyesore. Definitely much smaller imprint that other routers, especially routers for power users.
Set-up: Set up is quick and simple. The one caveat is that you have to download the app to your phone to get the network going. This can be a problem for some. I was not a fan of this requirement. In addition, it requires you to set up a new Google account, or link to an existing one. I see no reason why this had to be required. However, set-up is as easy as plugging in a few cords and following the directions on the app. You can also make your user-specific adjustments in the app, which is convenient. Overall, this is one area I believe can be improved. However, it is definitely smooth and easy to get up and running for anyone.
Functionality/Compatibility: I enjoyed that the additional units can be configured to have up to 2 ethernet ports away from the main router connected to the modem. Unfortunately a big area of improvement for many users is the lack of ethernet ports on the main unit. You can only connect ONE ethernet device to the main unit. For additional connections you will need to connect them to another device or purchase a separate ethernet switch/port. Although many devices have WiFi, this is a huge shortcoming since there are many users would will need additional ports for wired devices, max speed, etc. Hard to compete with top of the line routers without this. No USB port to set up a local hard drive, printer, etc. Also a big miss for some users. These units would also be great to mount on a wall, ceiling, cabinet, etc. Unfortunately there are no mounting tabs which would also be useful. Overall, I think Google has missed big points here, but most likely the average user won't care and therefore they left it out.
Connectivity: I used three devices to cover approx 5,000 square feet (indoor and outdoor). Coverage was always excellent (with well-placed devices) inside the house. However, once going outside the signal did not reach very far, but it was not terrible. Not uncommon for many routers, so if this is a must you might want to place one outside in a protected area. The coverage in my opinion was very good. Speeds were never an issue, even with streams, gaming, and internet use at the same time. It must be noted that if you are setting up three of these in areas under 4-5K sq feet, there really shouldn't be any issues. I would recommend at least one unit per 1,000-1,500sq. feet max.
Summary: great for the average user, excellent for basic user, and 50/50 for advanced user depending on needs. The connection can definitely handle power-use. Lack of ethernet ports on the main unit, no usb, requirement of App and Google Account to set-up are the only major pitfalls. I think most users will be very happy.

This product is just about everything you need to trim any body area. Its rechargeable and cordless. Good battery life. Comes with multiple attachments that allow you to trim different areas of your body.
The battery life of this product is good, it can vary depending on what you are using it for. For beard edging, cleanup lines, and other lighter uses it will last over the stated 60minutes. If you are cutting hair, trimming a thick beard, etc it will need to be recharged sooner. It should definitely make it through a full grooming/trimming session. The only downside is that you cannot use it while plugged in.
The blade is sharp so it will not pull hair as many cheaper units do. It has a self-sharpening blade, so I hope this will allow it to last much longer than my previous trimmer for an competing company.
The attachments allow for custom trimming depending on the shaving area. The attachments allow help adjust settings so you can get the perfect cut. The attachments make it so you can cut your hair to your preferred length and style. I would prefer better adjustment settings, but they do what they are supposed to. More flexibility for trimming hair, more precision for beards/facial hair, and more safety for sensitive/delicate areas.
Overall, I highly recommend this product.

This is a great product (really a 4.5/5) for anyone looking to expand their wireless coverage. I combined this product with the Linksys EA9500 which definitely makes the set up slightly easier than using a different branded router. I would recommend this product.
Set-up (5/5): It took about 5-10 to unbox, setup, and fully connect to the network. It has WPS and browser based setup so there is flexibility. I would say that even an inexperienced user could set this up easily, as long as they understand what they already have set up and the various network/internet terminology. They also include an AWESOME tool that tells you whether the location of this extender is appropriate or not. Linksys is doing a good job in the set up and interface side of things.
Compatibility/flexibility (5/5): if combined with certain Linksys Routers, this unit will copy the existing settings and allow for "seemless" connectivity. If you pair with non-Linksys router you will be creating an additional network or access. The awesome thing is that it includes an Ethernet port so you can extend the network and have ethernet connectivity available. The downside is there is only ONE ethernet port, so if you are extending your network through ethernet (therefore creating a wireless access point) you will not be able to plug in any other ethernet devices.
Range & Connection (4/5): This product is a 4.5/5 overall, and this category brings it down. The range is good and will definitely give you increased coverage when placed in the right location. However, the hand-off between the linksys EA 9500 and this unit was not seemless as multiple devices would drop connections randomly. This was only after this unit was installed and using the duplicated settings. If you have any other set up I highly doubt this will be an issue.
Summary: This is really a 4.5/5. It only loses out a bit because of its non-seemless handoff with Linksys routers compatible to create a truly extended network. Set up is super easy and intuitive. Definitely extends range.

Absolute Best Router Hands-Down

This is an excellent router with great functionality for any user, and especially the heavy user. Summary at the end for a quick overall review.
I have used many routers from low to high-end and this is one of the best.
Setup-Software (5/5): The Linksys EA9500 is perfect for users with any type of device with set up as easy as an Apple Airport. With Apple Airports, you have to download additional software if you do not have an Apple PC/Laptop. Other non-apple routers use similar setup procedure as this router but the EA9500 has the best setup that is very intuitive and looks nice.
Setup-Connections (4.8/5): Absolutely great. EIGHT gigabit ports! Finally a company that recognizes the importance of having enough ethernet ports. Includes USB 2.0 and 3.0 which can allow for external storage devices on the network. The only problem is that I have not seen any information on using the USB port to hook-up a printer for wireless printing. Easy hook-up to modem through ethernet connection. The router was out of the box and fully functioning (including set up time) within 10 minutes!
Connectivity and Range (5/5): The connection is super quick and the range is the best I have seen. Compared to an Apple Airport Extreme and ASUS AC1900, I am getting at least 50% greater range outside the house, which is approximately 3k-4k square feet! My devices connect immediately.
Performance (5/5): Fast speeds and no lag. Power users with many devices and multiple simultaneous streams will not be disappointed. I have tested with three streams and online gaming active with no issues. Videos look as great as ever. I have not noticed and considerable lag when gaming, other than what is expected from the game itself. With at least 8 devices on ethernet plus 6+ more on wireless, this unit does not disappoint.
Summary (5/5): This router will satisfy every buyer. Its probably not as useful to a small household user with only three devices on the network, but you'll be very satisfied regardless. Heavy users will have great connectivity with flexibility. No lag, beyond excellent range, and easy set up. This unit is big and heavy, a very telling sign of great quality and performance. Very good product.

Good Simple Tablet for New users/children

This review is for the Acer Iconia One 8inch Tablet, a summary has been provided at the end if you want the quick details.
As an overall tablet, this tablet is about a 2.5/5. However, for what I believe this tablet can be used for it gets an .5 star bump.
I would recommend this tablet for anyone who is looking for a very affordable tablet that they can use for basic tasks like e-mail, websites, YouTube. It will allow you to do those things on a larger screen than your phone.
Target Users: Tight budget, children, starter tablet.
Design (4.5/5): Looks nice, I can hold it in one hand, and it looks more expensive than it really is. Uses the universal Micro-USB charging port on top. Has a microSD slot which allows for memory expansion, which is a huge plus. Standard volume/lock buttons on side of screen. Headphone jack it on top.
Functionality (3/5): This tablet will allow you to do basic functions. It is not meant for the power user. The touch screen is not nearly as responsive as an Apple iPad, nor is it anywhere near as fast. However, it is not painfully slower either. If this is used by a new user or child, the response is negligible. In addition, if you download apps like NetFlix or load videos on to the tablet it can entertain children for hours on a long car or airplane ride. As a new user who is looking to get in to the tablet game, you wont be too disappointed unless you compare it to a higher-end Samsung or Apple tablet. But you are saying $100s by purchasing this device.
Camera (1/5): The front and rear are terrible, especially this day in age. Very blurry and the front-face camera offers the poorest image quality I've seen since an early 2000s digital camera. Since this is an android tablet, it does offer editing and filters built in to the camera application. I personally never use my tablet for taking pictures, but I do use it to video chat and this would make that a bad experience.
Software (4/5): This is an android tablet so it follows the standard Android format. Its more complex and customizable than the iOs system so this is great if that's what you are looking for. Android users will find familiarity using this tablet, whereas Apple users will have a learning curve, but I personally think its relatively easy to get used to. You can also access the Google Play store which offers a plethora of apps from games to education. You won't be missing out of application availability. That being said, Android is definitely more complex than Apple's iOs so if you are looking for the most simple and straightforward software, Apple is more toward your interest. Last note, since this is Android, you will need a free Gmail account in order to fully utilize this tablet, otherwise you will be very limited in your use.
Battery (4.5/5): I get more than enough use with a fully charged battery, but I do not use this tablet nearly enough to give a great description of how it lasts with high-usage.
Summary (Overal 3/5): The chrome browser works well and surfing was a breeze. I had full access to my email and was able to watch any video on YouTube. If you are on a tight budget and want a very basic tablet, this will do the job. If you are looking for a regular use tablet that can handle power-use, you need to look elsewhere, such as Samsung, LG, Apple, etc. This tablet would be great for children to keep them entertained. They can play games, watch videos, etc with ease. Also, due to the price they can abuse it and it won't hurt the wallet nearly as much as the much higher priced iPads. If you value the use of a camera, you also want to look elsewhere, the cameras built-in to this tablet are laughable at best.
I would only recommend this to a new-user or parent purchasing for a child. If you are on a budget and can save up for an iPad mini that is a generation or two old, you will probably be happier.

I have a pair of these in a 360 sq ft theater room. I have these set up paired with the matching center and two floorstanding speakers (will be adding two more BS to get 7.1). Having spent a lot of money on a projector and screen money was very tight. These speakers came out on sale at frys which Amazon price matched and I decided to give BB a call to see if they would price match as well. They did. Got them same day with store pick up and I get points.

I have a large room and needed great and BALANCED sound. these easily compete with a set worth twice its value. If you're not a hardcore audiophile and are looking to start somewhere this is it. Look no further. These BS and powerful and deliver very accurate sound. Watching action movies make you feel apart of the movie.

So if I have a receptacle right under to power the doorbell but do not have a existing chime or transformer would the doorbell work?
If you have a receptacle you would be able to wire in a new transformer. You don't necessarily need to have a chime. However, without a transformer wired up to where you're mounting the doorbell camera, you will not be able to use this. There is no included power supply. You need to buy a transformer that can wire into that Power or plug into it. Then run a wire up to the camera. However you'd be defeating the purpose of this camera because it could easily be unplugged rendering it completely useless.

Owned 1 month and tv is very sluggish when flipping thru channels, & now it will freeze up on a channel, and I physically have to unplug the tv power cord to get it to shut off. Also volume will randomly go from 0-50 without touching a button. ????
It is very likely the remote itself, unless it's the IR receiver. Change your remote batteries and clean it. Make sure no buttons are sticking. I'd also contact Hisense warranty support even if you're outside the warranty period. Hope this helps.

It has to connect to the app and WiFi. Make sure the WiFi light at the bottom is on and the speaker has connect to your phone. If the 4 lights at the top are flashing, it means it has not connected. Sometimes you have to turn it off, launch the app, then turn back on and give it a few minutes.
