Nice, enjoying the features

Ok, let me get my biggest issue out of the way with this Record Player, the Victrola - Eastwood Signature Hybrid Record Player should be bigger. The footprint of this unit requires you to keep the cover open (at a specific angle) to play full size LP records. I found this to be a limiting factor in where I could place the unit (for instance on the top of other audio components in stack fashion) or on a shelf (since it requires a least a foot of vertical clearance. The only situation where I would find the smaller size useful is if I wanted to use this as a portable unit (secure the stylus arm prior to moving), with the inclusion of speakers and connectivity that opens up that possibility for that reason I upgraded this unit rating by a single additional star.
As for the turntable itself, if you can deal with the above limitations, this is a versatile unit. It features small built-in speakers for playback, a headphone jack, RCA outputs and most importantly these days, Bluetooth connectivity (both to and from other devices). So, you can play music through the unit’s speakers from a phone, tablet or any other Bluetooth capable playback device. My favorite feature was to be able to output the turntable to Bluetooth speakers and headphones. Being able to do this allowed me to blast my LP of Loudness – Thunder in the East through my huge Sony SRSXP500 Bluetooth Portable Wireless Speaker, quite the 80’s parking lot scene.
As for operation of the turntable, it is manual affair which didn’t really bother me except I reminisced about the skill of track queuing. The stylus provided good playback characteristics and seemed to be a step above the normal bundled version.
If you want a versatile record player this is a good fit, with basic featured record playing mechanism with the added features of Bluetooth in/output and built-in speakers.

Simple and basic protection

Not much to write about in regards to Webroot Secure Anywhere mobile device protection. I installed it on my Chromebook, the process was easy, from the Google Play store, asks if you have an activation key. The installation asks you to grant permissions to your photos and videos. Also asks if you want to install the the Secureweb browser app which I didn’t because it wasn’t compatible with my Chromebook. The set up did an initial scan prompted to fix items found (it did not find anything). My entire Chromebook (or at least the areas deemed likely for threats) were scanned, which took about 75 seconds. Not much to the interface or items to configure (which seems the norm for Android protection products) a pretty simple product which seems to work and to protect my Chromebook.

comfortable over the ear gaming headset

The Logitech G535 LIGHTSPEED Wireless Gaming Over-the-Ear Headset is a good set of gaming headphones which has an integrated microphone boom. These headphones are lightweight and sound good, but don’t match higher priced models I’ve had before. Although after several long gaming sessions they still remained comfortable to wear with not a lot of over clamping (even though I have a big head). The cups may be a bit of a problem for those that have large ears however, mine fit OK, but I did find over time that a bigger cup over the ear would probably be better for me. The build quality was good, although not premium, but for the price I thought they were a good value. The sound profile of this headset tends to favor the high end of sound spectrum with detailed highs and midranges which really lend to great game play and audio dialog in gaming sessions. I feel the bass response lacks a bit of punch, although clear and not muddy it didn’t quite to seem to match up well with the rest of the audio spectrum reproduction. I did not hear any sound distortion when using them, the Bluetooth connection was reliable once I paired this device (on my PS5 with the included USB receiver).
The volume control is convenient providing quick flexibility via the use of volume roller, which is right below the power button. The microphone boom also the flips up and mutes when lifted. Logitech’s G Hub software for the PC can also be used for other configuration options including updating the firmware on the headphones.
Overall, the Logitech G535 Gaming Headset performs well and is super comfortable, you could get a better gaming headset, but at this price point they meet my expectations.

good looking, but temper your expectations

The Lucyd Starman Bluetooth Audio Sunglasses are a cool concept, I have had Bluetooth clip on audio speakers which attached your existing glasses, however they always look clunky. The Lucyd Starman Bluetooth Audio Sunglasses have integrated speakers in the temples (the arms on each side) and polarized tinted lenses. In general, the frames are of high quality, and the lenses are replaceable with prescription versions. As for the speakers built into the arms of the frames, don’t expect much in the way of audio. The audio quality may be fine for listing to podcasts or taking phone calls, but they lack any bass to really be effective when listening to music. The built-in microphones work well and in phone calls the audio quality on the receiving end of the call sounded very good. They charge using a special USB charging cable which attaches via magnets to the sides of the frame, taking about two hours to fully charge the glasses. The glasses paired easily to my mobile device via Bluetooth and have kept a steady connection during multiple days of use. They have buttons on each side of the arms, which are used to power on off each speaker, pair the device and various playback and control functions.
Overall, these are probably best in class for what they are good looking sunglasses with the added benefit of having audio speakers built into the frames.

Having fully adopted the Apple mobile ecosystem I really wanted a wireless way to connect to my old Onkyo receiver which I relocated to the garage. As a matter of fact, my old receiver was replaced by a new Onkyo receiver a few years back due to the plethora of connection options in the newer receiver (Airplay, Bluetooth, Spotify Direct, SiriusXM direct and a few others). So, I unboxed my old receiver, hooked up a few speakers and used the Belkin SoundForm Connect Audio Adapter with Airplay 2 to play audio content on my older receiver.
Setup was straightforward using the NFC (Near Field Communications) chip in newer iPhones to setup the audio adapter. It did take one or two tries for my phone to recognize the device (by basically touching the phone to the area marked on the adapter), perhaps the iPhone case interfered with it a bit, but I essentially believe this is the same technology which powers ApplePay. In any case I had to use the Apple Homekit app to configure the connection, renaming the device to something that made sense to me. Once I established this Airplay2 audio adapter on my Wireless network I was able to play music through it from any of my Apple Devices. Instantly my 20+ year old receiver was once again modern. I opted for using the optical output connection (instead if the 3.5 mini jack) since my receiver did not have that particular input available (without buying some adapters), besides the optical output is a true digital signal. Airplay works flawlessly and sounds perceptively better than even the most modern Bluetooth connectivity standards. It is nice not having the limitations of range associated with Bluetooth, as long as you are connected to your wireless network then Airplay just works.

good value, decent performing earbuds

The Belkin Soundform True Wireless Earbuds are a compact well-made pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds. As with most earbuds they come with other size interchangeable buds, the default installed medium buds seemed to be most comfortable in my ear. These are sound isolating and given their reasonable price I would not expect active noise cancelling (ANC) features.
The buds sit in a little carry case/charging station, which charges the ear buds and provides a battery source for another few recharge cycles when needed. The wireless earbuds have a rated run time of about 7 hours which I found to be pretty accurate the first couple of cycles I used them from full charge to a needs charging state. The QI wireless charging case (a really nice feature for this price point) provides about another 24 hours of run time. I found the USB-C connection on the case a bonus and is fundamentally a better connection than older USB interfaces.
The sound reproduction is fairly accurate, although a bit on the soft side. I also used the buds on a few Zoom calls while working from home and was very pleased with how they performed. The built-in microphones seem to do a good job at picking up your voice while doing a decent job of minimizing background noise. Pairing these earbuds was easy and problem free as well as controlling your connected device through light touches on each of the earbuds, they also work well in mono mode (using a single earbud).
I did not have to worry about sweat of water impacting the buds since they are IPX5 rated. They have less lag than other ear buds I used, which is important when using to listen to audio from video sources, I suspect this has to do with the minimal amount of processing the earbuds perform (for instance no active noise cancelling).
These are a good pair of true wireless earbuds, providing decent performance at this price point.

this is a single port output charger, it is well built with foldable AC prongs. It feels substantial and feels like it weighs slightly more than other chargers but still fairly compact. It charged by Galaxy S21 from about 20% to full charge in less than an hour and is rated to be able to fully charge that phone from near zero in a little over an hour. The phone got moderately warm during the quick charging process as well as the charger. I also fully charged my Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 in just under two hours, with it going from a 2% charge to 25% within 15 minutes. Anker’s exclusive safety system is a combination of over-voltage, over-temperature protections, current regulation other advanced safety features to your devices safe while charging.
This 25W fast charger does the trick and I am very happy with how quickly and safely it charges my devices.

The design is aesthetically pleasing with the option of having a cool blue light remain on. The unit emits a cool mist of humidity well suited for small rooms such as a bedroom or home office. awesome buds

The Elite 7 Pro Wireless Noise Canceling earbuds are a compact well-made pair of wireless Bluetooth earbuds. They are towards the higher end of the Jabra line and provide great performance and are still priced competitively. As with most earbuds they come with other size interchangeable buds, the default installed medium buds seemed to be most comfortable in my ear. I will say that since the control buttons are on the surface of each bud they do feel like they are getting pushed in to your ear canal a bit when pressing them. These are active noise cancelling (ANC) earbuds and that feature really works well.
These were easy to pair via Bluetooth to my iPhone 12 pro and laptop. The package includes a small instructional insert, the well done mobile app really shines, providing a lot of information regarding the operation of these earbuds. I was really impressed with the setup routine, it asks a few questions (age, gender) and then goes through a routine of various tones (almost like a hearing test) to configure the earbuds based on your feedback and responses (pressing a button in the app every time you hear a frequency of a specific tone). This is where Jabra’s background in devices which are used for hearing enhancement really gives them an edge. The buds sit in a little carry case/charging station, which charges the ear buds and provides a battery source for another recharge cycle if needed. I found the USB-C connection on the case a bonus and is fundamentally a better connection than older USB interfaces. The case also is a bit magnetic, so the ear buds are pulled in for charging and remain secure. This is definitely an improvement from an earlier pair of non-Jabra wireless earbuds I have which are a bit finicky to place in the changing case, so I found this feature great. The app also provides a “find my buds” feature if you enable location services which is a helpful if you misplace them.
The sound reproduction is accurate with a good deal of dynamic range, the mobile app provides a graphic equalizer and a bunch of different sound profiles. The buds also have a passthrough mode so you can hear ambient sound without removing them from your ears.
I also used the buds on a few Zoom calls while working from home and was very pleased with how they performed. The built-in microphones utilize the expertise Jabra has gained over the years in creating business class headsets. Not having to have a wired set of earbuds attached to my HP computer really comes in handy. Pairing these earbud was easy which can sometimes be a challenge for Windows devices.
At the pool I found they to provided numerous hours of use without the need of a recharge. The Bluetooth connection (version 5.2) was rock solid indoors and out, without any dropouts and good range (even indoors between walled rooms). Outdoors the range was substantially further than what they are rated.
These are an excellent pair of true wireless earbuds, providing performance which exceeded my expectations.

K-Cup and drip brew all in one

Needing a solution for using both K-Cups and the ability to brew drip coffee in larger batches, I decided to get the Ninja - Dual Brew 12-Cup Coffee Maker. This brewer is well engineered to meet those requirements by including a K-cup adapter which slides over the coffee ground mode filter enclosure. The K-Cup adapter has four needles, three which puncture the top, these seems to get the most out of the coffee contained in the K-Cup. Both the K-Cup adaptor and ground coffee ground holder (required to be installed for both brewing methods) should be removed for cleaning often, I would run a quick water rinse after using the K-cup adapter as I did notice some coffee grounds after each use on the needles used to puncture the top and bottom of the K-Cup. For coffee ground based brews the unit uses standard #4 cone coffee filters, I would think a permanent filter would be included, however that is a separate purchase and some people might actually prefer a paper type filter.
I will say, read the manual to understand how to correctly use and convert the unit between K-Cup and regular ground brewing. Also, it makes sense to watch some of the instructional videos which are available online from Ninja or on YouTube. My daughter broke a small piece off the sliding lid, and it prevented the unit from sensing that the one of the covers was in the proper position to start the brewing process, I had to super glue the piece back on to be able to operate the unit. Which again reinforces the point it is not the simplest to operate and you must familiarize yourself with operating this coffee maker.
As for brewing coffee, it does an awesome job with K-Cups, brewing a HOT cup of coffee quickly after pressing start. Brewing a full carafe from ground coffee takes about 10 minutes, equally hot. The brewer also has a warming element which has a visual indicator of when it is on (on the control panel) and when the element is still warm (near the front of the element). You can also set a timer to increment how long you want the element to keep the carafe warm from 0 to four hours. Another nice feature is the ability to use the closed/open lever to stop the drip of coffee onto the warming element (or temporarily stop mid brew to pour a cup of coffee from the carafe). You can also produce cold brews which reduces the water used by also half and drips into your full cup of ice which melts and dilutes the beverage to an appropriate strength.
Overall, this unit is versatile with a few quirks and produces really good coffee. Again, I can’t stress how important it is to thoroughly read the manual for proper operational directions.
