Quality cable!
on June 5, 2019

I love it that most of my devices now are on USB-C-- however, since it is still fairly "new", the cables out there are all crappy. So what's the difference of this cable? 1) The flexibility. Most USB cables I have are not as flexible, like working with a paperclip. This one folds and flexes around where it's connected. My thunderbolt HDD is under my folded legs as it is connected to my laptop. I have no issues with the HDD flipping over or moving weirdly when I move my laptop. It is flexible enough for one end to not bother the other end, even if the cable is not that long. 2) The build. Although I know it is new, the way the ends are connected to the wires, I don't think I will have issues with breaking at the joints. The rubber feels great and you know it is not made of cheap material. Data transfer or charging does not show any difference -- same speeds when I transfer and same rate when I charge. The winning point is the quality and it seems to me that this will last me a good while and that I will use it most often.

Great value in a lightweight design!

This headset is everything that you need in basic bluetooth headphones: crystal clear phone calls (even on the other side of the line) no different from more expensive brands, good bluetooth range with the phone, decent sound quality, awesome bass. I think it is very comparable to a lot of other more expensive brands. It is very light. The materials are not high-end but is very durable and not flimsy. Comfort is okay-- not exceptional. I have had at least 10 hours on it and it's still going after a good initial charge, but I can't have it on for over two hours at a time. Again, it's not bad comfort, it's just something I cannot leave on. Sound quality is pretty good though. The bass is solid, however it can use some separation in the highs and mid ranges. Overall, this is a solid headphone without too much complications. It is enough for what you need if you want a dependable set on your head!

Powerful is an understatement

Best thing about this robot vacuum: it empties itself into the provided bin. There are a lot of other good qualities too-- IT IS POWERFUL. I had other robot vacuums-- they do their usual rounds, they clean, and sometimes they don't. This one however, sucks everything in it's path. I had to get used to it-- the instructions advised about getting loose items out of the way. Just do it. It carried my flip flops, it sucks my mat, it even dislodged my running wire that was taped onto the floor. It is powerful but you have to get used to its power (and noise-- yes it's noisier). So everytime it's scheduled to run, I needed to make sure the mats and rugs are out of the way, and any dangling items like couch covers hitting the floor should be taken out. I have some issues with it on thicker floor rugs. It is too powerful that it gets itself stuck on thick rugs. So that too, I need to remove when it has to do the cleaning. I won't even mention setup and cleaning-- it is easy to follow and very convenient (especially the self-cleaning and disposal!!!). It took me some getting used to, on which items I needed to make sure I remove from the floor before I run it. Adds a little bit to the cleaning process, if you ask me. however, the trade-off is, it doesn't need to go back to areas it already passed (like other vacuums) because this one surely will clean everything in its path! Oh, and it has pretty good feedback too from the app and the unit itself. So you totally know what's going on when it's out and about. Pretty good robot if you ask me.

I did not think sucking can be too good!

Be warned, it's my first Dyson-- but it does not mean that it is my first vacuum appliance. This thing surpasses everything that my 10 or so previous vacuums have ever featured. It is light, cordless, pretty, easy to clean and easy to unload dirt, easy to charge, even the nozzles are easy to snap on (it confirms snapping in place so even an ignorant person cannot go wrong).
The hardwood floor nozzle is so effective, besides the good looks, it gently goes through my hardwood floor area and manages to clean even the hardest seated sand in uneven wood creases-- especially that I live by the beach, this thing is VERY VERY VERY USEFUL. I had fine-nosed vacuums that cannot even pick up wood gap sand. It is portable yet so powerful!
My 6 year old likes using it-- because he thinks it's a gun and it cleans everything he puts the nose into. My lady thought it's the best thing that has ever happened to house vacuuming (and even car cleaning too). For me, overall design is great. It is so easy to use and makes a vacuuming task a little more enjoyable than it is supposed to be. I love it and I am thankful this exists.

A Modern No Nonsense Printer!
on May 20, 2019

from Venice, Los Angeles, CA, USA
I like this printer. It is an officejet-- meaning it can do anything you would usually need a printer for: print, scan, copy. Plus of course, the digital features that is common nowadays-- print from mobile, scan to any device, connectivity to your cloud services (I use google drive and it makes it easy)-- you can even add more apps to it. If you look at the print quality-- it is nothing special, only because I think HP already perfected that craft whatever printer you buy that's HP. What I think is of most value in this one is, in as much as it looks like a box, IT IS MODERN. The design offers clean lines and lean use of space. I have I think the smallest printer HP has-- the 3700 series. It is not as small as this but with the features and the usability of this printer, this has a very small footprint. And the design, seriously, I can place it anywhere in the room and it does not disrupt the room aesthetic. The touchscreen is very responsive and it is matched with a helpful software that guides you in doing tasks and processes such as changing cartridges or scanning correctly. HP has come a long way and I think this printer is so user-focused that my grandmother can use it with least confusion and a techie can utilize it on today's needs. Thank you HP for continuing to evolve!

Use your bluetooth headphones EVERYWHERE
on May 3, 2019

I have good quality headphones and bluetooth speakers. The last thing I want is to have a device that I cannot use them with. My TV cannot pair my bluetooth headset, my projector looks weird with a very long aux plug, my guitar usually bugs the person I am sitting with when I play-- now they are all WIRELESS. This device simply adds bluetooth to any device with a plug (converters required for non aux) and I love it. Don't get me wrong, this is not a new product. It is a bluetooth transmitter. I've had the chance to see other bluetooth transmitters as well. You know the difference, this has the user in mind. The confirmation lights and the simple interface makes everything easier. So far, no drops in connection and I have continuous connection over 20 feet (have not used it farther than that). It is a great device. Easy to pair and gives more meaning to my devices without bluetooth. I recommend!

Awesome remote with some compromise
on May 2, 2019
Posted by: DarR
from Venice, Los Angeles, CA, USA
Device is so easy to set up!!! Once you have the app running and once it has detected your express blaster, all I did was follow the directions. All my components were in the app database and I just had to drag and drop to set devices up. It hardly asked for anything-- the express app is intuitive enough to know which ones to turn on and off depending on your usage. I used to have the Logitech hub so I know how these work. But for a virgin for these kinds of remotes, this is heaven. The thing is, this one is even easier to set up and I was ready within 15 minutes of unboxing. I find this one responsive (even more responsive than the hub) although it loses internet connection at times. The remote itself is very lean. I wish it had a little more buttons because I need to always talk to it to make it work. Just some added buttons in instances that I cannot really talk (like my 6 year old is asleep beside me). Given that, I also need to talk to it to turn devices off-- unless of course I use the app from my phone, which defeats the purpose of having one remote. The navigation button is a little wide too-- I find myself pressing the middle button than up or down if I am resting my thumb from one direction (e.g. I'm pressing up coming from pressing down). In general, I like it. It makes everything so simple and the voice commands are easy-- however it will require you to work around its functionality vs. it working around your routines. There is a learning curve and the remote has some limitations so I had to make do with what it does. Once you learn though how to understand it's functionalities, it's a great lean remote! It's future proof-- I'm sure there can be some updates to functionality and a version 2 remote. Overall, it's an awesome device and will make your TV show marathons so easy!

Old school in a new case.
on April 26, 2019

I grew up in an era where photos were printed. This does the same--- only instantly! The camera looks sleek and is light. Taking photos is easy-- it takes some getting used to the framing, especially being used to phone cameras. This is hard when you cannot review your live shots before it gets printed out. So it requires a learning curve. Photo quality is so-so. It's not crisp and is sometimes dark-- even in well-lit situations. Same as the regular photo prints in the 80s. So plainly, this camera is just for plain fun especially that the photo sheets can be used as stickers. I'm sure baby boomers and little kids will love this --- the photo sheets are not cheap though. It can act as a regular camera given the extra SD card slot, but, almost everyone has a smartphone, that I'm sure takes more photos. Artistic people can have a use for this too. Overall, it is a fun camera. Something to use as a back-up to take instant souvenirs.

Great way to add Google Assistant to your car!
on April 26, 2019

Funny how this product is more named as a car charger-- the value is more in the Google Assistant. Google Assistant is SO EASY TO SETUP; I don't know how to stress that more. It gives my car instant connectivity to the car radio with the power of IMO the best voice assistant. Don't get me wrong, I already own a pixel. I probably do not need this-- however, the microphones on this device is so responsive, it answers me better while driving, even with road noise or music playing, than my own phone that already has google assistant.
This is a super plus for people who do not have google assistant.
It's a Google Home device for your car that you can carry around.
Charger-wise it has two 2.4A chargers that are pretty stable and can charge power hungry devices like my tablet and big phone at the same time. I also see this so useful for travelling when renting cars. Such a great device!

An evolved baby monitor!
on March 23, 2019
Posted by: DarR
from Venice, Los Angeles, CA, USA
This is a huge evolution compared to my first-born's IP camera from 6 years ago. This baby monitor is a great combination of hardware and software. There are things that are a little cliche about cameras these days-- higher resolution, low light capability, accessible from anywhere. What I liked about this baby monitor is bringing all of these features together and making monitoring so much better!
First, installation is easy, so non-handy single moms will not have a hard time putting this up. The wall bracket-- which I honestly think is very brilliant providing a great view of the crib. I cannot believe no one thought of this a while back-- it is pretty simple. And the quality of the camera material-- it fits nicely in the nice crib with its finish look. I mean, we spend so much time making the baby room look pretty-- the last thing you want is a crappy piece at the center or the crib where everyone goes. Hardware itself is well thought out.
Onto the software, the app is a great companion vs. lugging a separate monitor around the house. Although I know we parents have seen a lot of other smart cameras with this mobility-- being able to do two-way sound, remote monitoring, etc. (by the way, kudos to the sound playing over other apps on the phone-- another great simple feature!). What makes it really different is the sleep tracker. Though it tracks movements and logs times, like any other data, information is nothing without you assessing the data points. It is great that there is data collection but I still had to look at trends or combinations, when a movement is a real movement, what triggered a real "sleep", how visits affect the subsequent events tracked. It is great but just needs a little analysis on the parents' part.
Long story short, it is not perfect and can come as just another monitor-- but I don't think any other monitor out there has placed most of the good things we want in ONE package. As of now, I think, this is a parents' wish list device and the best baby monitor so far!
