A Great Solution for Families

The pervasiveness of the web and the multitude of applications found in many homes bring a number of benefits. However, many parents find themselves struggling to find ways to effectively monitor and moderate the internet activities of their children at home. The Circle Home Plus, with it's full range of features and simple setup, is a welcome and effective tool.
Download the companion app, plug the unit into your router, and you're immediately ready to begin. After identifying devices, you assign them to family members, or to the home in general, or whatever designation you like. Then you can set individual filtering levels, hours of use, total time on, and other parameters for each label you've established. There's even a 'reward' feature for rewarding someone with extra connection time. For clarity, you should know that the Circle Home Plus is not a router. It plugs into your router and controls it.
Many of these features are found, in a basic form, on modern smart routers. However, few (if any) give the full range of controls found on the Circle Home Plus. That, coupled with it's plug-and-play simplicity, makes it an excellent value.
Depending on the number and variety of devices you have, it may take some work to correctly identify them at first. I had more than one show up as 'Apple Device'. So I had to turn the internet off and on for them until I could identify them - and label them accordingly. Once that was accomplished, I could control them with confidence.
The Circle Home Plus fills a clear need for modern families.

Good For Specific Applications

The Canon - IVY Cliq Instant Film Camera is a handy device for very specific applications. If you're looking for an all-around camera, look somewhere else. This is simply a modern application of the old Polaroid experience - take a picture and get a print. I also have one of the new Polaroids and, aside from the nostalgic form factor, I like this better - mainly because the print out of the photo is much quicker.
There are some tweaks that could improve this - such as built-in memory with the option of whether or not to print a shot immediately (for when you know you moved or slipped and don't want to waste the photo paper).
Otherwise, the primary use I can see is for social gatherings where you want to stick immediate pics up somewhere for people to see. Would be fun for a kids' birthday party, etc. We'll probably use it in a Sunday School class so new kids can have their name and picture on a board with others.
Otherwise, I'll stick with my current smartphone for normal photography needs.

A Solid Value for a Great Monitor

The HP - 24f 24" IPS LED FHD Monitor is simply a solid value. Light, very easy to set up, attractive design and screen quality all add up to make this a great monitor for a good price. I also like the built-in ability to select a variety of modes from 'gaming' and 'movie' to 'night' and 'reading'.
The only limitation is that it only has 2 inputs: 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. Keep that in mind when deciding. Otherwise, this is a solid product for a good price.

The Logitech - C920S Pro HD Webcam is a solid solution for good-quality webcam needs. Simple plug-n-play setup, stereo sound, flexible options for positioning on monitor or tripod, and basic Camera Settings software with a good set of features all make this a great package for a good price. The added privacy shield, which enables you to block out the lens, is a small, but greatly appreciated, addition.
As a Mac user, I was disappointed that the recording software offered by Logitech is only for Windows. The Camera Settings software, though, works great on my computer and I found the standard Quicktime software (included with my Mac) enabled me to record with little difficulty.
The Logitech - C920S Pro HD Webcam is one of those welcome tech offerings that simply does it's job well.

Impressive Sound for Small Form Factor

The Sony XB12 Extra Bass Portable Bluetooth Speaker is impressive. Designed to be ultra-portable, you can easily wrap your hand around it, toss it in your bag, or even let it dangle from your wrist (a bit awkwardly). Water-proofing completes the mobile packaging. All of this confirms that it's targeting the 'take-it-with-you' demographic.
It paired immediately and the sound was very good for such a small speaker. I was pleased to see that it could take full volume without any distortion and maintain plenty of punch. So, the key issue is how you plan to use your portable Sony bluetooth speaker.
If you need a small, bluetooth speaker for more stationary uses, I would recommend checking out Sony's XB21 speaker. It is a bump-up in overall sound quality and is currently available for a similar price.
However, if you want to take your music with you - in as small a speaker package as possible - without sacrificing decent sound, this is the one to get.

An Excellent Party-Music-Machine

The Sony PG10 Portable Bluetooth Outdoor Speaker is made for outdoor parties. It's portable, has a long-lasting battery, a small table-top with 4 cup holders, and multiple inputs for sound sources - including a mic input. Simple bluetooth connection and Sony's solid apps offer plenty of options for how the sound is customized.
The design is ideal for placing your party drink (punch/keg) on top and using the cup holders to provide stacks of cups for your guests. The sound inputs are covered by a rubber seal cover which should protect them from the inevitable spills.
This is a well-thought-out product for it's intended use. Note that it is designed for higher volume output in a party setting. It is not made for high-fidelity sound in a relaxed, indoor setting.
If you're looking for a party-music machine, this is for you.

Immediate 'Upgrade' to my Gaming Audio Experience

The Turtle Beach - Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset is definitely a step above the average gaming headset.
First of all, the sound quality is excellent. I hear more detail and get a clearer sense of spatial placement as well as just good overall sound. As others have mentioned, I do wish I could get a bit more volume out of them using the SuperAmp control. On the other hand, the 'Superhuman Hearing' feature (on the app) is a great addition for hearing more of what's virtually 'around' you.
Secondly, these are the most comfortable gaming headphones I've yet worn. They do not get tiring. Since I wear glasses, the ability to adjust the built-in channels for them (on the pads) is a big plus. It also helps that they've included a generous length of cabling.
Bottom-line, the Turtle Beach - Elite Pro 2 Wired Gaming Headset produced an immediate improvement and 'upgrade' to my gaming audio experience.

Cutting Edge Tech and Performance for a Price

This latest Desk Light offering by Dyson Technologies offers a solid build, impressive features and a great design for smooth, effortless repositioning. It even includes a USB-C plug for charging your devices.
The light settings are versatile and offer separate control of brightness and color temperature, both on the lamp and via the Dyson Link app. The app gives full control and the ability to sync the light adjustments for the time of day (it will set them automatically according to your geographical location). There is a motion sensor that, when activated, will turn the light on and off according to movement. However, I found myself waving my hand periodically to keep it on when reading or browsing under the light. There is also a sensor for having it automatically adjust according to the ambient light around the lamp. This is clearly a high-tech lamp in a class of its own.
Considerations: A lamp in this price-range is an investment, not a casual purchase. So ...
• Decor. This is definitely 'Industrial Tech', so be sure it will be compatible with its surroundings. I first set mine up in our traditional-styled living room to test its features. The contrast was not at all flattering (I'm being kind). On the other hand, it will shine (pun intended) in its deployment to my music workstation. It should also excel as a light for work-tables, small hobby activities, and over various dedicated locations such as tables for games or puzzles - and, of course, over an uncluttered computer station.
• Low-light. The brightness and versatility of this lamp is impressive. It even includes a 'boost' mode that gives its fullest, brightest light. However, when using it for low-light activities like reading or browsing, I could not dim the light as far as I wanted and found myself swinging it further behind me to get the desired level.

Great Sounding • Retro-Attractive • Alexa Friendly

The Marshall - Acton II Voice Wireless Speaker with Alexa is a very solid product. The sound is excellent, especially at higher volume settings. However, it does not reach a 'blast'-level of volume, which is fine for me, but may not be for others.
Setting up the unit for Alexa and bluetooth was not entirely painless. This was mainly due to the effort to make instructions 'simple' on the start-up guide and in the app. It tended to leave gaps in the process that you just have to figure out - which I did. This has been a trend with many products lately and I hope it changes to a more helpful approach soon.
My wife and I both love the retro look. That may differ for others, though our (adult) kids were drooling over it as soon as they saw it. It makes a nice addition to the 'decor' of our living room.
The Alexa implementation (once set up) has been flawless for us and we thoroughly enjoy using it.
Other than personal taste as to the Marshall brand, the only factor to consider is wether it best fits your core needs and goals for the price range. That, again, is a matter of personal preference.
For us, this is a great addition to our home.

EXCELLENT - NEW TECH - PREMIUM PRICE

The ASUS - AX6000 Dual Band Wifi Router offers the new, cutting-edge tech of the 801... AX standard which, of course, offers greater Wifi speeds. As expected, you'll need the latest devices that are capable of exploiting the advantages of this latest standard. Also, because this is newer tech, the price reflects it. If you don't need it, you'll still get great performance from the previous standards using MU-MIMO.
However, if you want to get the latest tech that will help you squeeze every bit of bandwidth out of your system, this is a solid choice. Performance is excellent in both speed, managing multiple devices, and range of coverage.
Set up was fairly easy and I had no problems. However, the included instructions made no mention of their 'ASUS Router' App I found on the iOS App Store (I assume there's one for Android as well). I'm glad I looked for it before doing the installation as it made it smoother. I also like the fact that Parental Controls includes filter categories which, surprisingly, the Linksys App does not include in it's App.
Once installed, it has worked great. I've had no glitches, the speed is excellent (even with multiple devices streaming). For the latest tech (at a corresponding price) this is an Excellent Router.

Apartment use. Currently have a TimeWarner modem router and an extender in living room. parts of living room are slow and gaps. will these replace the modem router and will range be better?
I had a similar set-up as you describe. You will still need the modem function of your modem router to supply the internet signal from TimeWarner, but if you connect via ethernet from your existing modem router to the ORBI system, you should get a stronger system and better speed. I'm not with TimeWarner, but I had purchased and was using a modem router. After installing ORBI as described above, the strength and speed of my signal increased measurably. Remember that the wifi cannot make the speed greater than what arrives via your provider, but a better system, such as the ORBI, can bring the wireless signal closer to the actual ethernet speed. That's what it did for me.

So if it comes with two, I'm assuming you have one that internet is linked to by cable and the other is used as a extender? Or do you have to have both units hooked to cable?
You are correct. There is the Router unit, which must be connected by ethernet to your cable or dsl provider, and there is the Satellite unit which connects wirelessly with the main Router unit and extends the same signal with the same wifi name.

Will this product cover a 2000 sq. ft., one level house with only one (1) WiFi Name? The reason for this question is I'm currently using an extension to my router which has given the front of the house a different wifi name from the back of the house.
Yes. That's one of the advantages of this system versus a basic range extender, with the ORBI it's all the same wifi name. Plus, if you desire, you can pick up the satellite unit and move it according to you needs. It only takes 1-2 minutes for it to reconnect with the main router.
