The PC recognized it right away and (once I found WHERE to start the backup in Windows!) it started working flawlessly, seamlessly, and without any personal assistance -- just the way it should be. I hope to never need its backup files, but it is always better to be safe than sorry. This worked so well, I am thinking of getting another one!

I did not know what cable I needed. The employee said I needed this one. It turns out that this is the wrong cable. So did it work? Yes, it worked and was well made. But it did not work as well as the correct cable does. So, if you need this cable, then I would recommend it.

Works good / Short battery

This works as advertised and as MANY people have commented on, the battery life is very short. In our small house, it does about one room before it needs to be recharged, if you are quick. It does pick up a lot - after one run you do need to dump the collectings. A good modification would be to have an external battery (like the power tools) so that you could have multiple batteries and use it longer. FYI, the "no" below is because of the battery issue which will be common to all these battery powered vacuums. If you HAVE to have a battery powered vacuum, this is a great one to get.

This is easy to use and allows me to use the same XBOX One controller on both platforms. The only drawback is that the controller can only be pared with one platform at a time. Since I would not be gaming on both at the same time, this seems like an unnecessary limitation.

I do not know the answer to the first question, but the button to the right of the F15 key checks the charge on the keyboard. You will notice to its right is a smily face and a frown. When you press the button, a green light comes on indicating adequate charge (smily face). Inadequate charge is the lower red light.
