This unit offers great sound with surprisingly deep bass (almost Bose-like). Even with the bass level all the way up, since that's where I like it, the effect isn't overwhelming. Movie dialogue is clear, and Pandora music sounds very good, even at lower volumes.
There are moments when the audio will "cut out" when using a fiber optic cable connection to send audio to the soundbar from the TV. I didn't see the same issue with my previous audio setup, so I'm not sure where the problem actually is. I can say that I don't have the same trouble running HDMI straight to the soundbar, and then to the TV.
As other reviewers have noted, the soundbar doesn't really "fill the room" when listening to music, and I've noticed the same. Music definitely sounds more "open" when listening on the "Surround" mode. Too be fair though, a soundbar isn't the best platform to deliver an open and dynamic high-fidelity audio experience.
I play most of my media via a variety of media players and streaming boxes , and this is a vast improvement over TV speakers, with very good bass, and in a space-saving package to boot.

Enjoy a smooth shaving experience with this Panasonic cordless razor. The Panasonic shaver is a good product with a few minor quibbles. The product is packed extremely well and the initial feel and appearance is excellent. This is a foil style razor and it replaced my ancient floating head shaver. The grip is rubberized and fits nicely into your palm. The unit is a wet/dry model and includes a sideburn trimmer. The product offers excellent battery life. I recently took it on vacation and was able to leave the charger at home!
Now the quibble - the charger is a single unit designed to plug into an outlet and then have the shaver plug into that in an upright position. The combination of the charger and the razor will cover both outlets of a standard two plug outlet. Why not just use the upper plug? The weight of the combined charger and shaver was too much for my outlets and would actually cause the charger to fall off the wall! Even if you used the lower outlet the amount of leverage that it takes to plug in and unplug the razor will dislodge the entire unit from the outlet.
Overall the look and feel and the reasonably good shave you get from the product would still make me recommend the shaver to friends.

Finally, a vacuum cleaner that does NOT suck! And that's a good thing!
This unit is light, well constructed, powerful and has a number of well thought-out features and accessories.
The un-boxing experience is superb. Other vendors of all stripes need to follow Shark's example of how to create packaging. It starts the moment you open the box and find initial instructions printed in full color on the box flaps! The entire unit is nestled in protective packaging and the quick start guide and owners manual are the first things you see. The vacuum assembles quickly and the parts go together with a satisfying "click".
Of course none of this would mean a thing if the machine did not perform well, but no worries there. We fired it up and ran it over our moderate pile living room carpet as an initial test. The unit rolls easily and is not obnoxiously loud. We also were very happy with how it performed on area rugs and our hardwood floors.
Out torture test was to see how the Shark did with pet hair. We have a cat that sheds constantly and we often have to pick up her hair after we try to vacuum with our other two machines. The Shark killed this one! It has a dual brush assembly that offers a soft roller up front followed by a more standard brush roller behind. This thing picked up hair, lint, dirt, leaves - you name it.
We were both shocked (and a little embarrassed?) after seeing how much dirt it picked up from a section of carpeting that we though was pretty clean! The canister is very easy to remove and empty and includes a HEPA filter too.
Another bit of magic is that the vacuum can be easily separated so that you can reach tough areas with the attachments. A number of handy attachments were included and there are others available to order from Shark.
In summary, if you are in the market for a vacuum do yourself a favor and look at the Shark! Highly recommended!

The SONY SRS-XB40 wireless speaker is a solidly constructed party-in-a-box. With it's water resistant, rubberized case, its extra bass boost and the built in light show, it is a no-brainer for those pool and patio parties.
The un-boxing experience is very good. The product is well packaged and protected and there is a good getting-started guide in the box. We were able to sync the speaker to both our Samsung and Google Pixel phones immediately. The unit claims to offer up to 24 hours of playback on a single charge. We have yet to go that long between charging but can confirm that it can go strong for a couple of hours at least. The multi-colored, DJ style light show is a novelty that we probably will disable for most occasions. We played music from both our Amazon and Google streaming services with no problems.
Now for the not-so-good news - the SONY app designed to add additional capabilities (and control the lights) is a nightmare! The name of the app as identified in the SONY documentation has changed and the companion app is all but unusable. We weren't able to compare it to the IOS app as we are not Apple folks but the Android version is not usable.
In spite of that, the speaker sounds and looks great and will definitely get a major workout this summer!

Decent product but difficult to manage

I wanted to love this product. I really did. My current router is the outstanding Linksys EA9500 and it has been an absolute joy to use. However I do have a bit of a challenging "dark spot" (an all metal outbuilding) for which I would love to provide coverage. The Linsys Velop looked like a reasonable option.
The units themselves are gorgeous to look at - almost modern art and are well packaged. The addition of a 3 year warranty is one of the best deals in the industry.
The problems came when we tried to get them deployed. The Velop can only be managed via the Linksys app, which uses Bluetooth to connect. That's pretty neat, but we ended up trying 3-4 times before being able to finally connect and get setup. We actually had better luck pairing the two devices before starting the setup process.
Once it was going, it was pretty easy to manage things via the app, although I'd prefer to manage it via a web interface and a keyboard and mouse. The features didn't seem to be anything other than basic, with the ability to prioritize devices on the network. Still playing with that.
The WiFi coverage seems pretty good, and we saw very good speeds (around 30mbps, which is the limit of my connection) on the 5Ghz band that the phone was connected with.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the satellite stations to connect with the base, despite being well within the coverage area. Maybe a reset of the satellite would help, still working on that.
In summary, the Velop is going to have to compete against similar products from other vendors that are simply easier to manage.

OK, I didn't expect to get too excited by a Coffee Maker but this thing rocks! We have already purchased another one for our kids and are planning a make-your-own-custom-coffee party at our house for the holidays.
This is one of those rare products that impresses you with its well thought out design and quality build. It starts with the sturdy packaging and good documentation and continues with its extensive features. Even a little thing like an included coffee scoop with instructions embossed on the handle and a dedicated spot to store it in speaks to the excellent design.
And the coffee it brews? Excellent! Multiple options for brewing strength, serving size, and hot or cold brews and all without the mess, waste and cost of individual K-Cup pods.
The addition of a built in frother is the topper. This is not the stand-alone, manual device that is offered with some other models. This is a powered attachment that is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store away when not needed.
In summary - if you are a coffee person who is spending too much with your local Barista, you owe it to yourself to look into this!

A solid first attempt in a competitive environment

The Google Pixel is a solid first attempt entering into the extremely competitive premium device marketplace.
The unpacking experience was very good. The phone is well packaged and includes a charger, a couple of cables and an adapter. That is especially important since this device does NOT use the micro USB/HDMI connectors that you may be used to. That's right, your existing home and car charger cables will not work!
After activating the phone at my local Verizon dealer the initial power-on and configuration went pretty smoothly. Be aware that the very first time phone boot-up can be lengthy but subsequent power-ups are reasonable. Since my prior phone was also an Android device and was tied to my Google account, all of my apps, contacts, pictures, etc transferred without incident. Remember after you do this that some of your apps that used to remember your login credentials may request that information again.
Voice and video call quality are excellent. The camera is amazing! It functions well in low light environments, is fast and produces images with excellent color and focus.
The Google personal assistant is fun. It is easily invoked and is very quick to respond to your queries. It even elaborates on some responses without additional prompting.
This is my first phone with a 5.5 inch screen. After installing a case and a screen protector this thing is a handful! I'm going to have to lose a little weight to get this thing to fit comfortably in my pants pocket. :) The AMOLED screen is extremely bright and sharp.
My initial take on battery life is that it is really quite good. I'll need more time to see if it really can last 8 hours but so far, so good. Also charging time with the included adapter seems to be really fast.
I still want to try Google's Daydream View VR headset but the local dealer does not yet have stock. Word of mouth is that Google nailed this one.
In summary - good product. I think it will only get better after a few updates. But, even brand new, I think it holds its own against the competition.

The battery is easily removable and has a mini-usb style charging port. I believe it is Lithium Ion and no separate charging stand is needed.

what are the dimensions of the keypad side? my front door has some designs on it that might be in the way of the keypad.

Does the bolt come out on the right side or the left? My door opens to the left, so I need it to come out on the right side of the outside piece.
The design allows for both right hand and left hand doors. The bolt is notated with an "up" stamp and the mechanism has a locking knob that has emblems on both sides of the interior panel so that you can twist it either clockwise or counter-clockwise to work the bolt.
