Not bad for an entry level Blu ray player

I bought this Sony - BDP-S3700 blu ray player specifically for the bedroom, as I have the Oppo 203 (the blu ray best player IMHO) in my home theter set up.
So, since it was for the bedroom, and used lightly, I did not need something like my Oppo 203 player. Just something basic that would play blu ray movies. I don't stream from this player, so I can't comment on that feature. But it does have many ( over 300 according to Sony) streaming links per installed on it such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube and Amazon Video to name a few.
Other features are : Wi-Fi, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD, DLNA which allows you to share multimedia content across all supported devices in your home, fast boot up. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is only 2.4 GHz. While that may be fine for things like updates for the player, it may not be enough bandwidth to stream HD material in 1080p. As mentioned earlier, I do not have this player hooked up to Wi-Fi currently. If I do hook it up, I will update my review.
Overall this is a very good entry level Blu ray player. very easy to set up when you initially hook up everything. The menus are clear and easy to understand and navigate. The picture it produces from 1080p blu rays is very good. You really can't go wrong with getting this player.

Not bad, but not great either

I have had the Philips Viva Collection Multi Chopper for about 3 weeks to fully test it out. Overall my score is about 3 1/2 stars. I know it can't chop everything perfectly, but my results were less than what I expected, especially when it's priced at $69.99 as of my review date.
The food that I tried in the Philips Viva Collection Multi Chopper were walnuts, pecans, onions, carrots, semi frozen green beans and tomatoes. While the nuts and onion came out nearly perfect using the purple basket along with the three blade attachment, the other items I tried, carrots, semi frozen green beans and carrots did nothing except cut a few (10-12) pieces then nothing else. I used carrots cut into 2 1/2 - 3 inches long and not a large diameter. The semi frozen green beans were cut into smaller pieces that came that way in the bag. The tomatoes were medium sized and quartered.
Using the purple basket, it seemed like all it was doing was rapidly spinning the food around and very, very little chopping was happening. To me it seemed that the problem was with the bottom blade on the 3 blade attachment. It seems too short. I think if it was linger and angled up a bit, it would chop/cut more effectively. Many times the carrots would get impaled on the blades, then I would have to stop and remove the carrots from the blades.
I also tried chopping the carrots and semi frozen green beans using the 2 blade attachment. While this really cut up those foods, it cut them way too small. I attached a picture of the carrots and green beans so you can see how small it chops.
On the positive side. The Philips Viva Collection Multi Chopper seems to be very well made. The part that has the motor is somewhat on the heavy side and for me that means that it has a good sized motor that won't bog down when you're chopping a large quantity of food. And if it were a dinky motor, it may burn out faster too. The clear base has measurements listed on it for up to 2 cups which is just under the purple basket.
The Philips Viva Collection Multi Chopper comes with two attachments. A three blade attachment for use with the purple basket to (hopefully) chop your food into roughly the same size pieces. And a two blade attachment to use without the purple basket to chop food into tiny pieces. All of the blades on both attachments are razor sharp.
There is also a small 22 page booklet that has recipes ranging from salsa, guacamole, honey and lemon roasted chicken and more. Even though I did not have the best of luck chopping some foods, overall this is a pretty good addition to your kitchen. I just wish it was a bit cheaper in price.

Excellent razor thin laptop

I've had the HP Spectre X2 for about 3 1/2 weeks and absolutely love it. Not counting an iPad, this is my first laptop and so far, I'm really impressed. This has a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7560U chip running at 2.4GHz, a large 360 GB SSD, 8GB of memory, 12.3 inch touch screen, built in cameras, Bang & Olufsen speakers and Bluetooth and Windows 10. It also came with an HP Active Pen which lets you highlight, write, draw or simply use as a digital stylus to eliminate fingerprints on your screen. Also included is a pleather like padded storage case with Velcro closing.
With an SSD hard drive, this computer boots up from totally off in less than 30 seconds. The screen is made of Gorilla Glass so it would take a fairly large fall to crack or break the display. It has 2 USB Type-C ports which you also plug in your charging cable to re-charge the battery. It come with one adaptor so you can plug in your mouse dongle, flash drive or an external hard drive. You'll need another USB type C adaptor though if you want to charge the laptop while using it, or having your mouse dongle plugged in. The HP dongle goes for $25.00 and up, but you can get an aftermarket one that works with flash drives, mouse dongle and hard drives for $6.99.The battery is supposed to last 8 hours, but so far my experience falls short of that.
The gold colored stainless steel "kick stand" lets you select what ever angle you want to view your screen at, weather the screen is "docked" with the keyboard or detached. When not in use, the "kick stand" neatly fold up.The shell of this laptop is made from aluminum, so it's tough and light. Not cheap plastic like so many things are made from nowadays..

I have played a few movies on this while traveling and it works great. The picture is stunning. Vibrant colors and crisp and clear. The speakers, though they come from a high ends manufacturer, are so-so at the most. Good enough if you don't have headphones, but I highly recommend headphones if listening to music or watching a movie.
This thing is razor thin at about 7/16 of an inch thick. Being thin does have it's problems though. There is not a cd drive. You can't connect your internet directly to it as there is not a LAN port. It's Wi-Fi only. I'm still getting use to Windows 10. My pc has Windows 7. And while I prefer 7, 10 is ok
This is my first laptop and overall, I'm giving this a 5 out of 5 stars even though there is not a cd drive or LAN port.

Combo coffee & espresso machine

While this would not be my first choice for a coffee machine as I prefer a Mr.Coffee machine for $25.00, this does make a pretty good combination 2 in 1 coffee machine & espresso maker. I have had this machine for two weeks to fully test it out before writing this review.
My girlfriend loves espresso, so getting this combo unit was a good choice overall. It takes about 8 1/2 minutes to brew a full pot (10 cups) and the espresso brews instantly after the water heats up which takes less than a minute. For coffee, there is a small active carbon filter that came with the machine, and it seems to help the coffee flavor when using tap water. Generally I prefer a bottled water for making my coffee as it just tastes better. For drip coffee, included is a very fine gold mesh filter that you can used instead of a paper filter. To me, this made my coffee a bit metal tasting, so after using it twice, I now just use a paper filter and my coffee taste great. And yes, I did wash all the removable parts first as well as brewing three cycles through the coffee & espresso sides before making espresso or coffee.
As for the espresso, I don't drink it, but my girlfriend loves it. There are coffee pods available for espresso, but you need to make sure that they will fit your machine. My girlfriend has not bought any pods yet as she loves her Starbucks coffee and fills the espresso container with that and says that while this is not as good as espresso from a professional machine, this is still very good as it's way cheaper, and you can stay at home too.
The espresso side has a removable 40 ounce plastic water reservoir that you can remove by lifting up a hinged door on the top left rear of the machine, a swiveling jet frother, two different size coffee holders and one coffee handle thing to hold the coffee and a combo measuring spoon and coffee tapping down tool.
The coffee side has a removable plastic coffee ground basket along with a very fine mesh filter that is contained in a swing out compartment where you also pour in the water for the coffee. There is also a 24-hour programmable timer so you can have your coffee ready when you get up in the morning.
Overall, I give this combo coffee and espresso maker 4 stars and recommend it. It seems well made and the combination black and stainless will go with just about any kitchen and makes it appear more expensive that it is.

Great little bluetooth speaker

This is my first Bluetooth speaker, so I did not know 100 % what I was getting into sound wise. I have not been disappointed at all, especially that it was only $100.00 at the time I received it.
The speaker arrived with some juice in it's batteries, but I decided to plug it in, and let it fully charge up which took about 4 1/2 hours. On a full charge it's supposed to last about 10 hours. The box that the speaker comes in was just barely big enough to enclose the speaker and it's included 2' long USB charging cable. My USB cable was yellow to match the speakers all grey color with yellow + and - buttons for the audio controls and yellow cord to hang it from various items. I liked that the USB was yellow as it make's it very easy to see which cable you need without looking closely at the connectors.
Overall the sound is 4 out of 5 stars. While the highs, and mids are there, it does lack some in the bass department. It paired very quickly to my 4th generation iPod and to my Moto G3 phone. I streamed an FM station from my phone to the Wonderboom for roughly 4 hours as I waxed my F150 and girlfriends Honda CRV. The phone was in the shade of the garage while the Wonderboom was on a small ice chest to act as a platform while I moved it all over while waxing the vehicles.
The furthest the Wonderboom got from my phone was 80 to 85 feet and never once did it loose the connection. And while most of the time it was in plain site of my phone, there were many times it was out of site and behind my truck for quite some time, but the signal came through loud and clear. Speaking of loud, I did have the Wonderdooms loudness up to maybe 65 % and did not notice any distortion. The volume for the Wonderboom can be controlled directly on the speaker using the + and - buttons or from your device like an Ipod, phone, etc.
The box that the Wonderboom comes in has a picture of the speaker on the box and it's the same size as the speaker itself. So if you're in the store wondering how big or small the speaker is, just look the the picture on the box. I have also included a photo of the speaker next to a 12 ounce can of soda to also give you and idea on the speakers size.
The Wonderboom claims that it's waterproof and shockproof, but I'll hopefully not have to find out if that's true. Overall, I've given the Wonderboom 4 out of 5 stars. Taking off 1 star for it's less than robust bass. But I'd still highly recommend the Wonderboom for it's price and relative good audio.

Honestly, I did not care for the Sony XB950B1 Extra Bass Wireless Headphones. You can use them either wireless or you can use the included 4' wired cable to listed to them "hard wired". I tried them both ways and the sound seemed muffled. There were not any nice mid's or any high end signals, just muddy all around.
I listen to classic rock, jazz and music from bands such as Within Temptation, Nightwish, and Sirenia. Perhaps something from Rihanna, Drake or Iggy Azalea would sound better on the Sony Extra Bass Wireless headphones. You could also download the Sony Headphones Connect app that lets you adjust the bass levels and gives you presets for club, hall, arena or outdoor style sound. I did not try this app out, as the headphones will work without the app.
These headphones are also very big, but they are also very light and comfortable for something this size. It took quite awhile to initially fully charge the Sony's using the supplied USB cable on my PC, but you can get up to 18 hours of listening wireless music playback. The Sony's also come with a one foot long charging cable that you plug into a USB port to charge the headphones and a 4' long cable to "hard wire" your headphones to your phone, iPod or what ever you wish as long as it has a 3.5 mm jack. A nice soft black bag is also included to protect the Sony's when you're not listening to them. It includes a big pouch on the inside to carry the charging cable and 4' long cable with room to spare.
Honestly, these were not the headphones for me. For the price of $199.95, you can do a lot better.

This review is for the Razer Kraken Pro v2 Wired Stereo Gaming Headset will be based on using it to play BF1 and BF4 on a PC as I do not have an Xbox One, Playstation 4 or Mac.
To begin with, the Kraken V2 comes with large 40mm neodymium magnetic drivers that provide very good deep bass, good mid's and clear highs for gaming. I also tried them out for music listening on my iPod just for the fun of it, and while they are nowhere as good as my Bose headphones, these would be OK for casual listening to music. As for the microphone, it's fully retractable and pulls out from the left ear cup. Others heard me loud and clear when playing BF1 or BF4 PC versions.
The audio and microphone are controlled by a small in-line control unit where you can quickly raise or lower the headset volume and mute the microphone. This is a wired headset, and believe me, you get plenty of length on the wire. The wiring comes in two parts. The hard wired part that connects to the headset has a 3.5 mm jack which is 54 inches long, and it also has an extension cable that gives you an additional 60 inches for a total of 10 1/2 feet of cord. The end of the extension cable has two 3.5 mm jacks. One is for the audio, the other is for the microphone. My PC has those input jacks on the front of the computer. You could also plug them into you audio card, motherboard jacks, or perhaps your speaker module depending on your setup.
While playing my games, the Kraken Pro V2's did an outstanding job for the microphone, but the speakers is where they really shine. I could hear everything going on in my environment from bullets hitting near me, to the low deep bass of the tanks that I was commanding. I usually will game for an hour or two each day during
the week and many hours on the weekends. The Kraken Pro V2's are light and very comfortable and did not feel heavy on my head.

The Kraken Pro V2 doesn't offer surround-sound per se, but you can download from Razers website called Razer Synapse and calibrate your headset for a virtual 7.1-surround experience. I downloaded the software and it seems to work just fine for my Pro V2. It offers a graphic equalizer, and optional enhancements like bass boost, sound normalization, and one called "voice clarity. The Pro V2 comes with a 1 year limited warranty.

A bit pricey, but outstanding

This is the first time that I have owned a cordless vacuum of any type and all I can say is this thing is outstanding. I have only owned it a few days, but I'm totally impressed on how well it sucks up everything I vacuum over.
The vacuum comes with a 6' charging power cord. A wall attachment to hang the vacuum from while it's being charged. A 28 1/2 inch extension tube, 1 large and 1 small self powered floor sweeper brushes. 1 thin crevasse tube to get into tight places like sofa cushions, and 2 non powered brushes for cleaning things like window blinds, computer keyboards and such. And of course, the hand held motor and battery unit which weighs only 5 pounds.
I have an excellent corded Hoover vacuum cleaner that has attachments like a small rotating brush to clean furniture or stairs, and that rotating brush is powered by the suction that the vacuum creates when using it. Unfortunately, if the carpet is too thick or you push down too hard, the rotating part won't rotate.
With the Dyson V8 Animal, the two rotating tools, large and small are electrically powered with each unit having it's own little motor built into the unit. I used the smaller unit to vacuum my dogs hair off the sofa and love seat without any slowdown of the stiff bristles and was totally amazed that it got all of the hair. My Hoover could never get all the dog hair off the furniture. And while I would not use the V8 Animal to vacuum my whole house as it would need to be recharged a few times, I vacuumed in tight areas and under all of the beds with the larger floor attachment. And it worked excellent. I have also used the V8 Animal in my Ford Explorer, and it easily got the dog hair out of the carpet thanks to the smaller powered rotating floor brush.
With all the dog hair I vacuumed up, I had to empty the collection chamber a few times, but it's very quick and easy to do so. All you need to do is hold the motorized unit over a trash can, pull up on the red lever and the motor part rises up, and then the bottom of the collection chamber opens on a hinge and the debris falls into the trash can. Then simply push the motor head back down and flip up the bottom of the collection chamber and you're ready to go.
The Lithium-ion battery delivers up to 40 minutes of fade-free suction and features a trigger grip that releases instantly to ensure battery power is only used for vacuuming. If you need a bit more power, then simply flipping the switch to max power mode will get you up to 7 minutes of greater suction for harder jobs. I only tried max power for a minute or so to see what it would do, but for what I was doing it was not needed. Dyson sends the Lithium-ion battery with some power in it, but you must charge it for 5 hours before using the V8 Animal for the first time.
Another feature is that it has a HEPA filtration system that captures allergens and releases air that's cleaner than the air you breathe thanks to its completely sealed design. The unit has 2 filters that Dyson recommends that you wash at least once a month. Since I just got the Dyson, I can't comment on how this works. The Dyson V8 Animal comes with a 2 year warranty which is great as it seems most items now days only come with a year or less warranty
Overall, I highly recommend the Dyson V8 Animal cordless stick vacuum. While it will not replace my regular upright corded Hoover
vacuum cleaner, it will compliment it

A bit pricey, but a very good home wifi network

One of my biggest dilemmas when I got the Linksys Velop Tri-band AC6600 Wi-Fi System was where to place 2 of the 3 satellites. I have a 2 story 1800 square foot house, that has 3/4 inch thick concrete walls in each room. So, not a huge house, but the concrete walls have pretty much always caused problems. 3/4 inch thick concrete, 4 inches insulation, then 3/4 inch thick concrete.
One was placed in my office which is where my internet modem is located that's basically in the middle of the house upstairs. The other placed downstairs in the home theater room, and the third unit was placed in my sons bedroom so that he can hook up his PlayStation and Xbox units directly to that third unit.
I don't know a lot about networking and this system was pretty easy to set up using the Linksys app. More about the set up will be below. I get very, very good signals at each unit. For the home theater unit, I have no problems at all streaming Netflix movies in 1080p. No lag or drop outs.
You can add a guest network, and you can prioritize certain devices. Parental controls are easy to use, though I did not set those up. The system was pretty easy to set up, but you have to download the app to your mobile device. There is not any web interface with the exception of logging in to the router using its IP address, but all you get is a screen that tells you that all administration has to be done via the app. Doing this on my smart phone is somewhat of a pain as it's so small. I'm going to try using my iPad to see if that will help. Oh, and a bit picky, but the AC adapters for each unit are pretty big. If you're using a power strip, they will easily take up more than one slot, so you'll lose an outlet on the strip.

At first I was a bit disappointed in the sounds that this machine makes. I had assumed that this made sounds like waves crashing on the beach. Or perhaps a stream gently rolling by, or rain drops falling. This is not that. This machine makes a total of twenty sounds. Ten are fan and ten are white noise.
Personally I did not care too much for the white noise sounds. But I really liked the fan sounds as I usually have a fan blowing in the bedroom just for the noise it makes, not necessarily for the cooling except on hot summer nights. The fan sounds go from a huge industrial sound to oscillating, to a mellow fan.
The unit has a volume switch so that you can adjust the sound from barely audible to very loud. Other switches are the on/off that also doubles as a timer switch for 1 hour then it will shut off gradually. The other switch a rocker type switch that you use to select the sound you want.
A very cool feature of this machine is that you can plug it into a USB port on your computer, or in my case, my alarm clock has a USB port and I plug it into that. It also comes with an adaptor that you plug the USB power cable into, and then you plug that into the wall for power. You can view the cable and adaptor in my picture attached to my review.
The machine is fairly heavy for it's size, a good thing I think as if it was too light, you may accidently push it off your night stand. It also helps that it has 4 silicone type feet to help prevent that. The machine is about the size of two hockey pucks stacked on top of each other. The USB power cord is a fairly generous 5 feet long.
This machine is small enough to place in your luggage if you travel so that you can easily fall asleep when your staying in a hotel or even at a relatives house. I highly recommend this unit. It will save wear and tear on my fan and I'm sure on my electricity bill as well.

I don't know the brand name. It's probably made for Dell buy another company, with Dells name on it, but it does use the Intel Z370 chipset.

They changed this product after I preordered. It was supposed to be g502 hero and has the correct Logitech product code but now it says it’s available and the Hero is supposed to be out in October. What’s going on here? Did Best Buy screw up?
Today is October 14, 2018 and I have had my Logitech G502 Hero since October 01, 2018. Were you talking perhaps about the Logitech G PRO Hero Gaming Mouse as that mouse was available on August 21, 2018 ? The G502 Hero was available on August 30, 2018.

How to select watch movie as the remote does nothing
OK, this may sound dumb, but do you have the batteries installed correctly ? Are the batteries new ? If the answer is yes to both questions, you can push the "play" button on the front of the unit. If the movie then starts, and your batteries are new and installed correctly, then it sounds like the remote is defective. I would return the the unit to Best Buy and exchange for another one. I have an XP-620 printer. Can i use the XL inks for all the colors or just the Black?
Yes you can. I find it somewhat hard to find original Epson ink in the XL size with the exception of black and photo black in stores and most websites too. I'm talking ONLY about genuine Epson ink. Not some 3rd party ink that may or may not work in your printer. Go to Epson's website and you can get the colors you want in XL.
