It saved my carpet from a messy cat!

This is a review for the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Pet Pro Upright Deep Cleaner. It certainly looks the part of a great carpet cleaner. It has a lot of well thought out, and easy to use features, but the important question is what can it do for my aging carpets? The carpets that my cat has made a mess out of. The short answer is that it has done a GREAT job! It has really rejuvenated the look, and feel of the carpet and certainly added some more life into it. On top of it all it could not have been easier to use.
When I opened the box I was actually a little intimidated. Containers, hoses, cables, and accessories everywhere! I thought that the assembly was going to be a complicated task, and considering that I had not used one of these before I was not confident in my ability to just figure it out intuitively. To my surprise it was actually a very easy task. The quick start guide had me up, and running in 5 really easy steps. The only tool needed is a philips head screwdriver for a single screw.
The use of the BISSELL is equally easy, and very intuitive. I was impressed to see how easily it soaked, scrubbed, and rinsed my carpets all in one motion. The "Cleanshot" feature worked well for pet stained areas that needed a little extra help - giving them a quick pretreatment of sorts. The included accessories made taking care of the furniture, and stairs a hassle free experience. Best of all the drying time for the carpet was only a few hours. I could not be more pleased with the experience, and the results.
Clean up was super easy. You can tell they put a lot of thought into making the process as painless as possible. Everything easily comes apart to be rinsed off without hassle.
This is the kind of item where when you need one you want it to work well, and last a long time. Judging by the build quality, performance, and name brand of this cleaner I believe it will do just that. I look forward to using it for years to come. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a carpet cleaner. I would recommend it to anyone looking to rejuvenate their carpets, and add longevity to them. Most of all I would recommend it to anyone with pets! Thanks BISSELL!

The appropriately named Polk Bit is... well... tiny. It is in fact smaller than the key fob I use to unlock my car (see attached photo). None of that matters though if it can't put out decent sound. To put it simply it's better than you probably think.
First time setup, and use is simple. One really cool feature is when you are ready to charge the speaker you just need access to a usb port - in other words no cable is required.
When I saw how truly small it is I immediately lowered my expectations for sound quality. When I actually heard it for the first time I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. It's LOUD! While it does lack bass there is no distortion at all at full volume. I expected it to be similar to my smartphone's speaker, but it has much better sound quality than that. It had no problem overpowering the sound of my treadmill for a run, and does equally well outside.
It is rugged with all surfaces being rubberized. Build quality is great. It's virtually weightless, and has a heavy duty clip on the back which gives it a lot of versatility in where you can place it. When I clipped it to my waist I felt like the sound was a little muffled, and I think it does best clipped to the neckline or the strap of a backpack.
The only drawbacks I have with the device are minimal. Like I said earlier this thing is exceptionally small. While I would like it if it had a better battery life it just doesn't seem possible because of how small it is. The package claims 3 hours of battery, but I think that at full volume you get a little less than that. The only other issue I have is that all of the commands for the device are handled with 2 buttons so you have to memorize when to hold a button (or two), when to tap a button, etc. It's not bad, but could be more clear.
To sum it up this is the little speaker that could. It has big sound in a small package. I am listening to it right now, and it's fantastic considering its size, and its price. Get one for yourself. Get one as a gift. Collect all the colors. For the money you can't go wrong.

The New King of Budget Bluetooth Speakers!

If you are looking for a bluetooth speaker there are no shortage of choices. So many in fact that choosing one can many times be overwhelming. For me it is important to keep in mind the factors that matter most: sound quality, ease of use, durability, bang for the buck, and whether it is made by a good company with a reputation for quality. The Sony SRS-XB10 exhibits all of these great qualities and then some.
First off I will get this out of the way. The speaker sounds fantastic! It gets REALLY loud, but maintains great sound quality. I was kind of shocked considering it's a little more than half the size of a soda can. The sound is not tinny at all and definitely sits on the bassy side of the sound spectrum without getting too muddy. This is arguably the most important factor, and the speaker excels here.
It is also IXP5 waterproof. This means that it will be protected from water spray from any angle for at least 3 minutes, and dust that would normally interfere with operation of the speaker. It really shows in the construction of the speaker too. Everything is fully enclosed, encased, and sealed. The whole thing is rubberized to maintain a great grip in all conditions. Really impressive.

For me this means that I can use it when I workout, and afterwards when I shower without worrying about the speaker being exposed to moisture. I am sure it would do well poolside too.
The operation is very straightforward, and if you have ever used a bluetooth speaker or headset there will be no surprises here. I had it up and running within seconds.

It also has a really cool feature where you can add a second speaker, and they will play in stereo. This is a great feature! You would be able to position the two speakers to distribute the sound however you want. While I haven't tried it yet I will definitely pick up another one of these soon to do so.
Overall I am extremely impressed with the SRS-XB10. It really is the little speaker that could. I honestly like to be critical when I write a review, but I haven't found anything to complain about yet. If you are looking for a quality yet inexpensive bluetooth speaker you've just found it.

Keep unwanted hair to a minimum with this Philips grooming tool. Hello, and thanks for reading my review of the Philips Norelco - Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/dry Trimmer.
This trimmer is replacing an old Philips Norelco model I had from about 15 years ago. It had become old and weak, and as such trimming my beard had become a painful exercise in frustration. After so many years of faithful service I had certainly got a good value for the price I paid, but nonetheless it was time for an upgrade. Lucky for me the Multigroom 7400 has a lot to offer.
To start out the packaging is just a cheap clear plastic box. Upon openeing it though you will find a high quality trimmer and accessories. It has enough attachments to handle any kind of grooming you would possibly need to do. The box states 60 minutes of battery life. At 5 minutes a day that would last you nearly two weeks! I have not had it that long yet, but I am thinking that's accurate as it has shown no signs of slowing down. Advertised as shower proof. I don't personally do my trimming in the shower, but it's nice to be able to have it around the shower and sink area without having to worry about it getting wet.
Here are my overall impressions of the Multigroom 7400:

As stated above it does not have a countertop organizer, but it does include a nice leather bag that holds everything with room to spare. As such it would be good on the go.
Overall I am very impressed with the Philips Norelco - Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/dry Trimmer. It has a lot of the niceties that my former trimmer didn't have, and I could very easily see this replacement lasting me for the NEXT fifteen years. I believe that the current asking price is right on. They are just asking for a few extra dollars to step up from the junk that's clogging up all of the department stores.

Learn to LOVE your music!

First off I am not an audiophile. With that being said I have always wondered about high end headphones. What makes them so expensive, and more importantly are they worth the price? BOSE are certainly known for their high end products, and quality sound. This review is for the QuietComfort 35 (QC35) Wireless Headphones which is the latest in the line. The following is a summary of my experiences with the QC35, and my impressions. Hopefully it will help you decide if they are right for you. If you are looking for the opinion of someone who appreciates their music, but does not consider themselves an audiophile then read on!
When unboxing the QuietComfort 35 a few things stood out to me immediately. Efficient use of space was the first thing. The headphones, charge cable, and audio cable are all packed in a nice, slim, high quality travel case making it clear that this is designed to take with you anywhere you go. They even included an audio adapter for when you are on an airplane. The next thing that stands out is the physical quality. Everything certainly looks top notch, but when I actually FELT the headphones for the first time I knew it was a quality product. I can't recall the last time I thought a product was both extremely lightweight, and seemingly very sturdy at the same time. The textures. The attractive appearance. YES! Everything is going above expectations so far. Also included is the standard documentation/quick start guide you would expect.
Setup of the device is as easy as can be expected. A simple bluetooth pairing with your phone and you are in business. The BOSE Connect app also gives a simple interface for managing your headphones and their settings including the language used for your voice prompts. Everything works as expected here, and it's easy to use as well.
So now it's time for the meat and potatoes of the review. What's it like to use these things? Well how long do ya got? I could go on and on about how impressed I am. I initially put them on just to see what they sound like. I had planned to listen for maybe 2 or 3 minutes. That quickly turned into 2 hours! I am wearing them right now. I would wear them all the time if I could. The fact that they are VERY lightweight, and comfortable makes that a distinct possibility. They are comfortable to wear even with a lot of jewelry in my ears. The star of the show here is unmistakably the sound quality though. Songs that I have been listening to for 20 years all of a sudden sound better than ever. Have I ever REALLY even listened to them before?! In a sense no. Every voice, and every instrument is so distinct that it's like a perfect performance is taking place in my head. I even heard things I didn't know were there after all of this time. I have goosebumps running down my arms every time a new song starts. Getting the idea? On top of all of that the noise cancelling works beautifully. I see things around me that should be making noise, but there is nothing but the music. Perfect noise cancellation. It almost weirds my brain out a little at times. I could have sworn my keyboard makes all kinds of noise as I type, but I don't hear a thing other than crystal clear music.
The BOSE QuietComfort 35 have shown me how to LOVE my music. I had no idea what I was missing. If you have been unsure why someone would spend so much on a set of headphones just do it. Pull the trigger and learn to LOVE your music too. Listen to all of your favorite songs again for the first time. Discover the joys of being an audiophile! I told you I could go on and on.
With that being said let's review those important questions we talked about before. Does the noise cancelling live up to the hype? Yes. It truly puts you in your own world. Is the sound amazing? Yes. Let me put it this way...from now on when I want to hear music at its absolute best quality I won't head for the home theater or my car, but I will go straight to the QC35. And as for the question that many of you are here to get answered: Are they worth it? YES! Absolutely! I was always very reluctant to spend so much money on a set of headphones. If you are curious about them like I was I suggest you give them a shot. I was happy I did, and I think it would be impossible to be disappointed with these if what you are looking for is quality sound that you can take wherever you go.
Final Verdict: 5 Stars, A+ Thank you BOSE! You have made a new customer for life.

Take your work and entertainment with you with this Acer Iconia One 10-inch tablet. The large screen is powered by 1GB of RAM and a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor for high efficiency, and 32GB of flash memory gives you plenty of file storage. The 5-megapixel rear camera lets you take photos using this Acer Iconia One 10-inch tablet anywhere.

Good performance for price with a few shortcomings

Tablet computers come in all shapes, sizes, and prices these days, and they are popular for a reason. Much of their popularity is due to their small size, powerful components, and an ease of use due to a familiar operating system that is shared with our smartphones. Today I will be reviewing the Acer - Iconia One - 10.1" Tablet - 32GB - Wi-Fi - White, Model: B3-A20-K213. This tablet has a very attractive price point, but with the plethora of options available in this market does it do enough to warrant your attention and your hard earned dollars? The following is a summary of my experience with this tablet, and hopefully it will help you decide if it is right for you.
Unboxing the Iconia was a pleasant experience. The packaging has a very minimalistic look to it. It's mostly white with a few splashes of bright colors mimicing the look of the tablet itself. The device is presented as soon as you open the box yet seems to be well protected. It includes what you might expect: a packet of documentation, a charging cable with a/c adapter, and the tablet itself.
The Iconia is in my opinion a very attractive device. The white color gives me the impression of a more high end device, and I think it was a good choice for this tablet. The back of the device is textured (although not grippy) with a matte white finish. These design choices keep fingerprints to a minimum and are a definite plus in my opinion. The materials, fit, and finish are all very good.
When you power it up for the first time it will walk you through the setup process which includes connecting to your wifi. This tablet makes it very easy to get things up and running, and can be done even by those who lack experience with such things. After logging into my Google+ account it automatically synched all of the apps, and bookmarks from my android phone which was a pleasant surprise.
The Acer Iconia One is a 10.1" tablet which is a very common form factor, and is an excellent size for reading, and surfing the internet. The 1280 x 800 resolution is probably not good enough for someone looking for a top of the line experience, but it should suffice for most people who aren't too picky. I found text at this resolution to be very readable and smooth, and videos to be clear enough for a device in this price range. There were not a lot of "jaggies" like I expected there would be, and overall I am pleased with the resolution and image quality.
It comes with 32gb of internal storage. This is better than some tablets on the market, but not nearly enough for me. Luckily it has a micro sd card slot, and one of the first things I did was to add an additional 64gb of memory. At this point it asked me if I wanted to make this my default storage location making the process very easy. The micro sd slot is expandable up to 128gb. The ease of adding storage space to this tablet is definitely a plus.
Most tablets I have used all look like they are designed with a portrait orientation, however the camera, speakers, logos, and buttons on the Iconia all give the suggestion that this is to be used in landscape. Obviously the screen has an auto rotate feature depending on which way you are holding it so this is mearly a design choice. While it seemed a little odd to me at first the tablet seems at home when watching widescreen videos in the landscape orientation, and makes me appreciate the decision in this scenario. This is how we use our desktop computer monitors after all. The landscape orientation definitely took an adjustment, but it has grown on me and I use the tablet this way most of the time now.
One downside I see with the Acer Iconia is the 1gb of included RAM. Right after the initial setup I was already recieving a system notification that reads "System memory is low". The "system doctor" showed that I was using 715/950mb of ram and this was before I had even installed or started using any apps! This affects its ability to multitask, and things like how many programs or tabs you can have open while browsing the internet. In my opinion a device like this should have a minimum of 2gb. This was very probably an area of compromise due to the low price of the tablet.
Other observations:
- The screen has one dead pixel, although it is not very noticable.
- Some apps took a longer than usual time to download and install.
-Some of the games that I tried from the Google Play store were either not compatible with the device or had problems with crashing.
-Speakers are poor for music playback.
+ Speakers are good enough for audio books and YouTube videos.
+ Audio sounds good through wired or bluetooth headphones.
+ The screen is good for reading books and discussion forums.
+ Provides a snappy internet browsing experience.
+ Good battery life.
As a side note I was able to find an optional folio case that was made specifically for this tablet. It fits well, and does a great job of protecting it while still allowing access to all of the buttons and ports. It is nice to not have to use a universal solution that might not fit the tablet quite as well. I just thought I would mention this as I recommend it as an optional accessory.
For me the Acer Iconia is a good tablet. They managed to find a very good compromise between performance and price. In my experience if you pay any less than this for your tablet you might have a frustrating experience because they just can't put enough horsepower into the device at such a cheap price. This is good for those "everyday" tasks, and it's definitely a step up from the $49 tablet I had been using previously. If you need a tablet for light tasks such as reading or browsing the internet, and aren't too picky about things like resolution then there is a lot to like about the Acer Iconia at it's current asking price. If you are a power user look elsewhere. CONSIDERING THE CHEAP PRICE I would rate this tablet 4/5 stars.

A wifi extender that does what it says and more.

A few years ago I bought a smart bluray player. I thought it would be great if I could watch blurays, and finally have smart features on my tv. One problem. The model I bought didn't support wifi and there was no way to run an ethernet cable from the one end of the house where the router was to the other end where the blu ray player was. Hence all of its smart features have gone unused this whole time...until now.
This review is for the LINKSYS RE7000 MAX-STREAM™ AC1900+ MU-MIMO WI-FI RANGE EXTENDER. Not only does this range extender solve the issue with my blu ray player through the use of its built in ethernet port, but it also supplements our wifi broadcast ensuring a strong signal everywhere in our house.
There were no surprises when unboxing the extender. It is the same high quality I have come to know and now expect from Linksys. Fit and finish are excellent, and it certainly gives the impression that it is a quality product. The box contains exactly three items: a quick start guide, a booklet with regulatory information, and the range extender itself.
Getting this device up and running is super easy. After an initial setup it will have you check the wifi signal strength throughout your house to determine where the adapter will do you the most good. For us it was in the living room as expected. This was problematic in the past as we always use our phones and tablets when we get together to watch sports, movies, and tv shows there. It was a frustrating experience to say the least and the signal in this room was clearly in need of some help. The initial setup is done near the router. After that you simply plug it into an electrical outlet of your choice and it is up and running in seconds. Just like that we can all use our devices frustration free! It's like having the router right there in the room with us, and as stated before we were able to use the built in ethernet port to get internet to that old dusty bluray player.
Alternatively if you run an ethernet cable between your existing router and the extender you can also choose to have it act as another network altogether.
Although I used this device with a Linksys router it claims to work with ALL wifi routers which is obviously a plus.
I usually like to come up with some constructive critisizm when I review a product, but in this case the LINKSYS RE7000 MAX-STREAM™ AC1900+ MU-MIMO WI-FI RANGE EXTENDER was so easy to set up and use there is not much to criticize. When reading the included documentation it never mentioned the ability to use the built in ethernet port to provide internet access to devices which only support a wired connection. It only made mention of the ability to connect the extender to the router with the aforementioned port. Because of this I wasn't sure if I could provide internet to that bluray player I mentioned. I just had to try it and sure enough it worked. I guess in that way the included documentation could have been a little more complete. No big deal really.
I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone who needs to extend their wifi broadcast (to the backyard or to a detached garage or guest house would also be great). It is also perfect if you need an ethernet port in a remote location like I did. I was blown away by the ease of use and effectiveness of this product. If you need more range out of your wifi you have come to the right place.

A good in-depth understanding of network technology is something that I wish I had, but simply don't. I need a router that I can just plug in and trust to manage all of my many network devices without tons of troubleshooting to get everything working properly. I try to take advantage of every feature of my home network by using computers, tablets, and phones to surf the internet, by using streaming devices such as a smart tv or blu ray player for services like Netflix and VUDU, or by using the PLEX app to stream movies from my media server throughout the house. I also make use of a network printer, and play games online with the Xbox One, PS4, and Wii U. Like most people I want these devices to just work, but to do that you need a good and reliable router.
This review is for the LINKSYS EA9500 MAX-STREAM™ AC5400 TRI-BAND WI-FI ROUTER. Can it handle all of these devices and still provide the fast, and reliable experience you are looking for? In short, yes. It effortlessly exceeded my expectations, but the most important part is that it is easy to set up and use.
The Positive - What I like:

There is no mistaking this devices high end nature though. It has more antennas than a tractor-trailer (EIGHT!), and yet still manages a sleek look that you won't mind having on display with the rest of your equipment. Fit and finish is excellent. Is it worth your valuable desk space? Read on.

Setting up the Linksys was a breeze. Simply connect it to your modem with an ethernet cable, use as many of the eight supplied ethernet ports as you need to connect your wired devices, optionally add an external hard drive to the usb 3.0 port to easily share data over your home network, or connect your printer to the usb 2.0 port. Supply it with power, and the setup process begins. No CD (and therefore no optical drive) required. The quick start guide has four easy to follow steps.
It was equally easy to use. The LINKSYS SMART WI-FI app for Android and Apple devices makes managing your home network a simple task right from your phone. Here you can see a map of all of the devices on your network, set a priority for the devices you use the most, and manage the security of your home network quickly and easily.
Signal strength and range of WiFi is also excellent, and this cannot be overstated. We tested it by using multiple devices simultaneously without interference or any kind of buffering. It has seriously breathed a new life into our network and devices. A+ Linksys!
Guest access works as intended, and allows visitors to connect to the internet without gaining access to your home network.
The Negative - What I don't like:
Simply put - price. Although this is a premium device it may be hard to convince people what the extra money is getting them over the plethora of more affordable competitors including other devices in the Linksys family.

Size. It is very large, and it is not meant to sit vertically so clear a spot.
In short the Linksys EA9500 just works. It has a premium price tag, but as these connected technologies become more and more integrated into our lives and our homes this expense is becoming more of a necessity if you want to make sure you will have good performance and productivity out of your network connected devices now and in the future. I would definitely recommend this device.

I never think about this memory card because it doesn't give me any problems. I use it in my phone (Samsung Note 4), and it just works like I would expect. You just insert it in your device and forget it exists. The 64gb card has given me plenty of capacity for pictures, videos, and music. I would recommend buying the highest capacity supported by your device. The Samsung brand is one I have come to trust for memory cards and I will be using these in all of my devices as the need arises. The price of these is very reasonable as well so don't be nervous to give it a try. 5 stars. Thanks for reading!

I picked this up at the same time as a lot of other people I am sure. That was right around the day of the 30th anniversary. No regrets here this is an awesome set! The replica license plates are a nice touch and fit in well with my Back to the Future collection. If you are on the fence I say go for it! These are some of the best movies of all time and this is a great box set. Everyone needs it!
