Almost perfect

Overall, these are near perfect workout headphone. They are quite impressive and most likely will fit the needs of 90% of people.
My first impression upon unboxing is quality. The design is appealing and looks like a high-quality fitness product with a sport design and great materials. In the box there are extra earbuds, some basic documentation, the charger, a clip, a pouch and the headphones. I was a big fan of the braided cord. When running, it does not snag due to the low friction of the cloth, so I never felt the need to adjust the cable like I have with competitor headphones that use a more rubberized cable.
Most important, sound quality. They are pretty good! They utilize Bluetooth 5.0. I have found the 5.0 standard to be mostly static free and keeps a great connection to any other 5.0 device. I tried it with my Xperia XZ2 compact and my laptop, no issues on either at normal Bluetooth ranges. One thing I would like is if they integrated APT-X into these, sound quality would be greatly improved. They use SBC which is not too bad with 5.0 but could be better. Overall, there is a nice dynamic range and covers 20hz-20khz.
There is no noise cancelling but it does a decent job of blocking sound just though the design, you will still hear plenty of grunts and the gym though. This is probably preferred for running though for safety sake.
Battery life is amazing! They are rated at 14 hours, I did not do any non-stop testing but with multiple sessions, it appears the battery barely drains each time. These will easily last for days on a single charge. The charger is more of a dock that you put it against to charge. I have no complaints with this but if you lose it, you cannot charge it via USB of any sort so keep it safe. I am sure this is to make it more waterproof since it eliminates any connections, but it is just one thing to consider. Quick charge is as advertised and a few minutes of charge will give you a few hours of battery, quite useful if you are in a hurry.
Fit is pretty good, everyone will be slightly different, and I noticed it fit a little better in my left ear than my right ear but it was nothing that took away from audio enjoyment. It did require some minor adjusting over long periods in the gym though, this could be more of an issue with lots of cardio though if you can not find a perfect fit.
Overall, great headphones, I would just love some tweaking with audio codecs and charging to make it perfect.

Perfect work laptop, game changing features
on December 14, 2018
Posted by: psyclopps
from Everett, WA
I was skeptical going into the review of this device. I have not heard many good things about the previous generation of WOS devices but the promises of long battery life and constant connectivity sounded amazing so I went for it.
There is not a whole lot in the colorful box it comes is. You will find the device, power cables, documentation a sim ejection tool. I did not receive my device on contract so there was no SIM inside.
Hardware quality:
I found the overall feel to be premium at first glance. The entire device is made out of metal that looks very appealing. I was thoroughly impressed by the keyboard as it feels extremely intuitive and comfortable to type with . If you push the middle of the keyboard you will see some flex in the frame, looks like the thickness of the metal was designed in a cot saving fashion.
The screen stays pretty stable with a little bit of wobble when touching, nothing too drastic though. The design is very comfortable in a lap or folded back in tablet mode. It is easy to over long periods of time and never gets hot (more on that later). Weight is a little on the hefty side but it is lighter than many competitors.
Display:
The display is overall in the above average range. I tested for P3 Gamut support, none to be found here. It seems to be pretty good with sRGB reproduction as far as my eye can tell. This is not an HDR display so don’t expect colors to pop. The brightness is good as I keep it on 25% most of the time and it is more than bright enough at home or in my office. I noticed a tiny bit of ghosting when you move the mouse quickly over a dark display but it is rarely noticeable.
Sound:
This is my main complaint. The speakers sound tiny to my ears. There is very little bass and seems to emphasize on vocals in music. This is good for podcasts but I am much happier using it with headphones. It appears to support 24bit 48kHz (via speakers) but it is nothing to write home about over the tiny speakers. Over Bluetooth I believe (couldn’t confirm) that it supports APT-X HD but it does appear to support APT-X via Bluetooth as far as I can tell.
Performance:
This is hit or miss. Using a Snapdragon 850 processor, the device works extremely quick if the app is compiled for ARM Processors in the Windows store. If it is compiled for X86 (Spotify, iTunes), it will be a little sluggish. Most of the main apps I use for business have ARM or ARM64 versions available so I have little complaints here. I usually do benchmarks but these are hard to compare since to install most of them you need to take the PC out of S mode and find a Win32 app to use. I didn’t bother since most benchmarks seems to be Win64 these days. The only App I tend to use a lot that I couldn’t install from the Windows store was Photoshop Elements since it is x64 only which is not supported (currently) by Snapdragon emulation.
Battery:
WOW!!! After using it for two days, I have been greatly impressed. Today I used it at work with constant use and it is showing I am at 84% with about 14 hours remaining, this seems to get cut in half with the battery at 50% (which is still 9 more hours!). This is with the screen at 25% and wifi/cellular on. This is the first laptop I have ever owned with zero anxiety of it lasting the whole day.
Wireless:
Another WOW!!! Wi-fi is as expected with a normal 866mbps connection in my house vis 802.11AC. Where I was impressed was when I popped a T-Mobile SIM inside. The T-Mobile people were amazed since they had never seen a laptop with a SIM card. They ogled over it for a while then got me up and running. In my house with three bars via cellular, I got a ping of 26ms, 75mbps down and 13mbps. The laptop is designed for Verizon so I do not know if you will get better or worse on that networking but on T-Mobile, it is great!
I have to say, I was not expecting such a change with cellular on a laptop but this is one liberating experience! I never had to hunt for Wi-Fi, never had to enable hotspot on my phone, never had to do anything! It was always connected and downloading emails and messages just like a phone. This is truly cool if your job is road warrior related. I drive a hundred or two miles each day and work out of different offices… it feels like complete freedom!
Other:
Since it is using a mobile phone chip, when you play music or podcasts and shut the lid or push the power button (in laptop or tablet mode), the music and podcasts keep playing! Just like a cell phone!
Turning it on is truly instant, no waking from sleep or hibernation here!
The fingerprint reader is one of the fastest I have seen on a laptop.
Conclusion:
I had a few faults throughout this review, but overall I still give it perfect score. If I could make one change, it would be for better speakers. Other than that, it is the perfect laptop for my work needs. I would not bother to do any graphic design or gaming on this but for documents, internet, email, music, presentations, reading, it is perfect! If you are in the Microsoft ecosystem, this is the work laptop for you. Great job Lenovo!

Simply amazing headphones
on December 3, 2018
Posted by: psyclopps
from Everett, WA
I’ve long been a fan of Audio-Technica products but never had the chance to buy the old M50 headphones that I have heard such good things about over the years. Well, I jumped at the chance to try out one of the new ATH-M50XBT headphones. Here is how it has been after three days.
Unboxing:
The box is the usual Audio-Technica style which contains the headphones in a folded position resting in a soft fabric. You will also find a carrying case, documentation and a Micro-USB cable (no USB-C here).
Build quality:
Again, the trends of other Audio-Technica headphones follow here, not a bad thing. The ear cups have plenty of padding, they appear to be a form but one that is not as slow molding as bed memory foam. It is soft and comfortable, but the foam does not feel extremely premium. The top is padded with a thin layer of foam, it is again comfortable but not very dense. The ear cups feel like fake leather, but they are feel durable enough. Supposedly they are replaceable, but I was unsure how to remove them and I did not want to rip them in any attempt. Most of the headphones are made of plastic but it also feels extremely durable and scratch resistant.
Sound quality:
What matters the most to me is the sound. I listen to pretty much everything. Somebody by the Chainsmokers provided extremely clear vocals (listening via APT-X at 320 kbps source). Bass was powerful but clean, drums were punchy, nothing sounded muffled, the keyboard in the background sounded pure. Switching it up to county with You Make it Easy by Jason Aldean, I was impressed by how clearly each instrument stood out from one another while never overpowering his voice. Each instrument had very fine details, part of this is probably good recording but the headphones allow one to appreciate it. Real Friends by Camila Cabello was enjoyable (I don’t really care for this song). The headphones provided great separation in the guitar sounds and her voice had some details I never heard before. Bass seemed slightly punchier via APT-X than when I connected it to an iPhone XS using AAC. But the differences were minor overall. The connection was clean and stable for about 30 feet using Bluetooth 5.
They are rated for 20hz – 20khz via Bluetooth but if you connect it to 3.5mm, they are rated for 18hz – 22khz. My old ears can no longer hear that high of a frequency, but I do have a lot of FLAC files in 24bit encoding on my PC. Music sounded absolutely great with this method.
Everyday use:
The sound quality was enough to make me forgive any faults but there were a few things I noticed in wear over a few days. The buttons have the usual Audio-Technica trend of being hard to identify with your finger when adjusting volume and pausing. All controls are on the left side and none of them feel very different from one another, so memorization will come in handy. The outside of the left earcup is touch sensitive but it is somewhat useless. It takes a few seconds to activate the virtual assistance to the point where it is kind of silly, just avoid it. The weight of headphones causes them to slip from my head when lying down and I could never keep them in one spot for long. They are best used in vertical positions and require some periodic adjustments. Comfort is fine for long periods of listening and I felt no discomfort. I probably would not wear them to the gym though due to size.
Also, if you switch listening devices often you will have to disconnect via the Bluetooth menu before switching to another device. It is not a huge issue but just be aware.
Battery:
Wow! They are supposed to get 40 hours and I believe it. I charged them when they arrived in the mail three days ago and they are only at 80% right now and I feel like I have been listening to them constantly! This has got to be some of the best out there.
Summary:
I am highly impressed, none of the problems I had lessened my enjoyment of these headphones one bit. They have easily earned the title of best headphones I have ever owned. I would like it if they supported APT-X HD or LDAC but it sounds amazing on AAC or APT-X so I am not too concerned. Comfort is amazing, battery life is phenomenal, and the sound quality is perfect for my needs. Buy these!

Almost perfect, great laptop

The latest model of the Spectre x360 feels very polished overall. I was very impressed during my review with very few bad things to say. Lets explore.
Unboxing:
This is a treat. The outer box is simple brown packaging but the actual Spectre packaging is inside. That box is two tone and high quality. Upon opening everything feels very premium and well thought out. You will find documents, the laptop, a carrying case, the stylus (with battery) and the 65 watt adapter. The adapter is great as much of the cable is wrapped in fabric and feels durable. It charges via USB-C.
Set up:
Pretty standard Windows 10 setup here. The only changes worth noting are you will set up Windows Hello via facial recognition or via fingerprint initially. You can use both with further configuration after the initial setup.
Use:
Typing this review on the laptop, I am overall happy. The keys feels just right to type on but are a little offset to the left since the home, pg up, pg down and end keys are on the far right side. It takes some getting used to but is not a huge deal. The track-pad is wonderful. It feels high quality and is very precise. The touch screen is bright and responsive to touch. The screen is easy to move in different positions which is a pro or a con depending on how you look at it since it opens easily but will push back easily if you try to touch it in laptop mode.
Design:
It looks amazing. The ash silver model looks more brown and gold to me than ash silver. The gem cut is actually very practical and not just a pretty design. The power button is on the left corner which keeps you from accidentally pressing it. The right corner has a second USB C connector which keeps the charger out of the way. The screen is bezeless on the sides but has a large chin and forehead. My main problem with use is when it is in tablet mode. It is kind of hard to use as a tablet since the new gem cut design creates lots of rough edges. This makes it somewhat uncomfortable to hold in your hands as a tablet. Therefore, it is somewhat difficult to take notes on. The fingerprint reader is a nice touch but it sometimes takes a few tries. I seem to have better luck unlocking with the face recognition. Weight is not too heavy and can be help for long periods.
Display:
The color reproduction feels good enough and I tried to edit some photos on it with no issue. The blacks are a little bright which affects the overall contrast. It is a 1080p display but this is more than adequate for a 13 inch laptop. I couldn’t find what % of sRGB it supports but colors seem vibrant enough for me. The display is bright and crisp.
Battery:
HP claims there should be close to 22 hours of batter life. I don’t see that at all. I am getting more like eight hours or so (not timed, estimate) but that is way more than enough for me. It will easily last all day
Performance:
I was a little concerned with having 8gb of RAM vs 16 gb but in practical use, this is one zippy laptop! The 8th gen Core i7 is plenty fast for most of my needs including photo editing. It only has a Intel 620 GPU so simple gaming is ok but I wouldn’t push it too hard. The SSD is extremely fast and I attached a screenshot of Crystaldiskmark and Geekbench to show performance. For the average user, this computer is more than fast enough, for a power user it should meet most of your needs.
Audio:
The speakers are great on this baby. This is the first convertible laptop I have had where you get great sound in both laptop mode and in tablet mode. The speakers fire on both sides of the keyboard section so no matter the orientation it will sound great. As for headphones, the output is clean and static free but it only supports 24bit 48000hz. For most people this is no issue but for some who listen to high res audio it might be a bit lacking.
Connectivity:
You will find a good number of ports here. There is a USB A 3.1 port of the left side, the right side has two thunderbolt USB C ports. Either can be used for charging. There is also a micro SD card slot. I tossed a 256 gb card in there for music storage and it works great. It is a cheap and easy way to effectively double your hard drive space. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a switch to turn off the web cam as well. Bluetooth 5 is present and works well as well as a Intel 9560 WiFi chip which works great via AC networks.
In summary, this laptop is a head turner. It looks amazing, especially if you like gold. The laptop meets 90% of my needs and I am very happy with it. My only changes I would fix if able are better keyboard placement, higher res audio output, and a little more curve on the edges for tablet mode. These are minor gripes and this is a solid laptop.

I had high hopes for these lights but they do not add to much convenience to your life. As a light bulb, they work great. As a smart device it is mostly average.
The device comes with two lights, there is nothing else in the box. The instructions are on the back and consist of installing, turning it on, opening the Google Home app and discovering the devices. Setup is pretty simple through the Google Home app.
Once it is set up, I tried quite a few commands to see how much voice control I might have. The things that worked were “turn on/off lights”, “dim lights to 50%” and that’s about it. I was curious if I could control the mood as the box shows various settings for the circadian rhythm. I could not find any voice control to control that. If it is automatic I could not see any visible difference but without any kind of meter I could not measure the temperature of the light at various times of the day. To me, it looked the same at all times.
As I stated, as a light source, they are pretty good, they are bright and can be controlled via voice if you really wish to. If you are expecting much control over the lights, I would look elsewhere as there does not seem to be much control at all.

You don't want to just hear the bass - you want to feel the thunder. The Bose Bass Module 700 delivers rich, resounding bass in a compact wireless subwoofer so you can feel the full impact in every thrilling moment of your music, movies, and TV. With its premium glass-top finish, the Bose Bass Module 700 offers elegance you won't find in typical subwoofers or home theater equipment. But the real beauty lies beneath the exterior. This wireless subwoofer delivers a dynamic range of resounding low notes from a powerful driver and generously sized port. You can feel the crushing footsteps of a T-rex on the screen, or a heart-pumping, beat-stomping chorus in your favorite song. Don't be afraid to turn up the volume, either; QuietPort technology virtually eliminates distortion without sacrificing clarity. Want to kick up the performance a little bit more? Add the Bose Surround Speakers to your Bose soundbar and bass module for full-on surround sound.

Best subwoofer out there

The Boss Bass Module 700 I received was paired with my Bose Soundbar 700 for review.
Unboxing:
This is A LOT of packaging. Not only that but this box is heavy!!! With the amount of heft in the box I assumed it must be a high quality device (it is). The packaging had layers and layers, this is great for protection but you will have a lot of trash after. One thing I appreciated was the handles in certain layers of packaging making it very easy to remove from the box.
Setup:
Plug it in, use the Bose Music app to connect it to the soundbar, calibrate it with the strange headset (included with the soundbar) and you are good to go! Setup couldn’t be easier. The build qualify of this device is amazing. It is all high quality plastics and glass and feels built like a tank.
Sound quality:
I was not sure it was working initially and only saw a white light on the back I had to put my head close to it to see if it was working. What I figured out is that the soundbar puts out a decent amount of bass already so it seems to save the bass module for much lower frequencies. I put on some bass heavy music and action movies and this thing will shake the room! It is not at all distorted but is a very clean and loud bass. The high quality build seems to allow for amazing bass reproducing while not overwhelming the sound from the soundbar.
Cons:
I could find nothing I did not like about this bass module or the setup with the soundbar other than the silly calibration method. This this is near perfect!
Summary:
If you can purchase this with the Soundbar 700, expect to have an amazing sound setup in your room. It puts every soundbar/subwoofer combo I have ever used to shame instantly. Try to get a chance to listen to one of these in person and nothing else will compare.

This soundbar is wonderful. My only gripe about it is the silly set up process, but it is actually worth it once complete. Some of the best audio out there in my opinion.
Unboxing:
The device is packaged well in the usual nice Bose packaging. There is a huge universal remote included, batteries, the sound bar, a headset for setup (I’ll explain more later), a HDMI cable, a optical cable, power cable and usual instructions/warranty.
Setup:
This is mostly simple, I recommend you download the Bose Music app for full control. I put power in, plugged it into the HDMI and got it started. Initial setup is entertaining as part of it includes placing the headset which looks like a tiara on your head. You plug it into the back of the soundbar and with a very long cable sit in five places in your room while it plays tests sounds to calibrate it to your room. My wife and kid laughed as I hopped from place to place wearing the odd device on my head. It was entertaining but will give you the best sound quality for your space in about 10 minutes. You will connect to wifi through the app, connect services such as Spotify, Amazon music / Alexa and Pandora. Then you will set up the remote to use on your TV.
Sound quality / build quality:
This is clearly a high end device in every way. The build quality appears to be top notch with high quality plastics, metal and glass throughout the device. LED lights provide nice accents for the controls. The sound quality is amazing, there is a good amount of bass for just a sound bar (I also added the sub-woofer which is in a separate review). There is good detail all around. To best test it, I connected some direct audio feeds from my phone and enjoyed all the music I could throw at it. The typical Bose sound is here with a slightly heavy bass but great audio at all frequencies. Details you might have never heard before seem to come out. Movies sound very cinematic with very clean audio. The sound quality is some of the best.
Extras:
You can pair this device with an additional Bose 700 Bass Module and some Bose surround speakers. Pairing is easy using the app and I never had any interruptions between the devices. The remote is universal and has a lot cool lights but it is almost comically large (pictured). Alexa is built in once you pair Amazon with it in the app. It works pretty well but the microphone is not the best I have seen. It is a useful feature though.
Summary: The setup is easy and comical, the soundbar is one of the best ones I have ever heard. The controller is silly but useful and works well. Even with the cons, this soundbar is absolutely amazing.

Awesome wireless headphones
on November 7, 2018
Posted by: psyclopps
from Everett, WA
These are amazing. I was skeptical at first since I wasn’t really familiar with the brand but they are probably my favorite headphones now. Here is my full review.
Unboxing:
There is not a lot in the packaging. The charger with earbuds in them, usb-c cable, qi charger, earbud tips and that’s pretty much it. The box is pretty good quality overall but also no frills.
Setup:
I set this up with my iPhone XS for first use. Pairing is your typical Bluetooth fare with going into settings and selecting the right earbud. I never had any disconnections in use as it was very stable. Download the Rowkin app for full functionality with features such as finding your earbud and EQ settings.
Use/sound quality:
Again, I was skeptical because it only supports basic A2DP profiles (I assume SBC). I have had hit or miss results with that codec in the past and was really hoping for AAC or APTX support. After trying with a variety of music, I was pleasantly surprised that the quality sounded great in every case. The default profile is a flat setting but this can be changed in the app. The EQ did not appear to be customizable (or at least I couldn’t figure out how). The pre-programmed ones seemed pretty good quality. I did experience a problem on iOS where the profiles would reset to flat periodically. This was a little annoying but could probably be fixed in software.
Sound quality was clean and free of any static. Even when used at the gym I had no interference. I assume this is due to the strong Bluetooth 5 connection. I was unable to test on a phone that did not support Bluetooth 5. Audio sounded clean and detailed using spotify. Bass is not heavy but it is a flat bass that complements most music well. Stay away if you want beats type audio but if you want something more natural, these are a great pick. Battery life was similar to what is advertised for me at about 3 hours, more than enough for the gym.
Build quality / features:
The earbuds themselves look a little strange and plain but they fit very comfortably in my ears with the default tips. They feel like high quality metal and plastic. The charger for them is larger but doubles as a charger for the earbuds and for any devices you might have. It has a 1900 mAh charger so can recharge a phone if needed. The connection is USB-C but comes with a USB-A adapter. The charger will charge via USB-C or via Qi charging which is a great convenience.
Problems:
I didn't have many issues with these but the small rubber gasket on the earbuds seems to come loose if you are rough with it. It can easily be reinstalled if it falls out but I would hate to lose it. I couldn't quite figure out the way they are supposed to go in my ear but I found a comfortable position that sounds good. These are minor gripes but just pointing them out since it’s a review.
Summary:
Great headphones, great value, wonderful utility with few compromises. Sound quality is above average for this segment and they are great for working out.

Great all around with a few minor issues

This software came in perfect time for review as I had a photo shoot coming up for a friends retirement. Installation was through a digital code in which I just downloaded the almost 3gb download and entered my serial number. No problems happened and it was pretty seamless thus far.
Once you launch the splash screen you get some tutorials, options for Organizer, Photo editor or Video editor. I tried our Organizer first and imported all my photos. This took a good while off of my 2TB hard drive as about 1 TB of them are photos. It gave me an error stating that HEIC photos are not supported so that might be an issue for anyone using iPhones out there (it is only supported on Mac). Switch your devices to JPEG if using this software. After it imported all my files I did a face recognition of all my photos. This took absolutely forever. I ended up needing to leave my computer on overnight for it to finish. It does a good job discovering faces but is not too good at tracking changes in faces with age and will require a lot of user input to organize later. Once all is done though, performance was pretty snappy.
Once nice feature is that it automatically imports photos from Pictures folder, Google Photos and from Onedrive. The downside to this is that it also copies over the file structure which can make it efficient. For example, Google Drive categorized photos by folders that are titled by date. This can create a lot of redundant looking photos. I highly recommend a folder structure on your hard drive that you can easily sort.
Moving on to the Photo Editor, it appears similar to most other versions of Photoshop elements. The software is pretty quick on modern hardware and I don’t have anything really bad to say about it as it is what we have all come to expect at this point. It just feels much more mature now. Some features feel as if they have been dumbed down, this is not a bad thing though as it makes your workflow much more efficient as automation is much more prevalent. Much is the same from the last few versions. Most of the changes you will see will be in the realm of automated creations which exist in combination between organizer, photo editor and the splash screen. If you are looking for more tools that create collages, slideshows and videos for you, this upgrade is worth it. If you are only looking for more powerful photo editing tools, it might be worth skipping as it does not feel like they did a whole lot in this version. For what it is, it is good all around software. Once they add HEIC/HEIF support I feel it will be much more worth a purchase.

Track time and activities with this women's Michael Kors smart watch. The rose gold finish on the sturdy stainless steel bracelet adds a dressy touch to outfits, and the programmable options like tracking goals and taking selfies work with Android and iPhone devices. This Michael Kors smart watch records the number of calories burned exercising.

Great style, meh overall

After a few days with the Michael Kors Access smartwatch, it appears to be a product that is good but not great. It is wonderful for notifications and style but has some usability issues. Here is my full review.
Liked: This thing looks amazing, in rose gold it looks like any other high end watch my Michael Kors with no sacrifice in appeal or quality. The watch is not too thick and it feels extremely durable just like an analog watch.
Setup is easy, download the Wear OS app and follow the instructions, it will link to Google Fit and is mostly automated. Download the google fit app as well so you can track your activity.
The screen is amazing. The OLED colors pop and are great in all lighting conditions. The buttons feel sturdy and the dial is useful for scrolling around the interface.
Notifications work well and are reliable.
The watch bands are interchangeable, the unit comes with the metal band and a extra clasp. You can buy new bands from Michael Kors, I believe they sell leather ones as well.
Fitness tracking works well over a large range of exercises. The heart rate monitor does a good job and the step tracker seems accurate enough. Google fit syncs up with a lot of different apps for overall health tracking. It is supposed to be swim proof and includes GPS for runs.
Battery life is not too bad. If I take it off the charger at 7:45 AM I will be at about 45% by 9 PM. Since it doesn’t do sleep tracking I just put it on the charger for the night.
Disliked: The watch does not do sleep tracking. If it does I never figured out how since it doesn’t seem to be baked into any of the apps in any obvious way.
The unit felt laggy to me. This happens a lot shortly after setup as can be somewhat expected due to the setup and downloading of apps, but even after full setup, there were times where the interface felt sluggish. I like the dial navigation but movement and scrolling isn’t as smooth as I would have liked with this.
I don’t think this watch is really designed for fitness as it is more of a high end metal design, there is no included silicon strap and it is somewhat heavy.
The interface works but it is not the most intuitive thing out there, you will have to fumble with various scrolling to get to where you want.
I wasn’t able to wear it the first day since I needed to get it resided. I took it to Michael Kors and they did it for free for me.
Summary: The pros outweigh the cons of this watch to me but the drawbacks felt like enough to hold it back from being a great watch and keeps it in just the average territory. It felt much more like form over function to me. It is useful and practical. If I were solely rating it on looks, it would be a perfect score, but with the Wear OS integration it is more of a 3 out of 5.

Game was not tested properly
By skullboy88 from Los Angeles, CA
First of all the reason for such a low rating is that the game is not playable. Right out the box. Now, I have been building pc's for over 10 years and have sunk hundreds of dollars into my rig to play the most demanding games. And I do. The problem is that ID software sent out a game to the public that is not finished. Google, rage graphics problems and you will find a magnitude of arcticles about poor graphics bad drivers and other issues. AMD and Nvidia have been working for a driver patch but reports from many say they do not work to fix the tearing and poor rendering . People are paying $60.00 for a pc game. Dont you think it should work right away without having to wait for a patch?

To be fair, a patch has since been release which fixes many of these PC problems including better support for video cards and settings.

Horrid Sound
By DELienz from Delaware
I had pair of Sony Headphones that I bought a few years ago for approx. $50 dollars... Sounded Amazing, but I recently ran then over with my car... Anyway bought these assuming the sound would be similar and also compensate for my only complaint with my other heardphones which was falling constantly out of my ear during workouts. Turns out these are more expensive but that sound terrible. Tried changing the setting on my IPOD and there is no overcoming the lack of bass. I am a auidiophile and I do listen to music a lot of double bass and drums so bass is something I must have in a headphone. If that's what you looking for don't buy these. I'm confident cheaper headphones with the same quality sound can be obtained so I would not recommend these to anyone...

Balanced Armature
June 28, 2012
Balanced Armature headphones are designed to sound like the original recording. Most headphones these days are "dynamic armature" which are designed kind of like a hardware equilizer where bass is usually most important. Any of these balanced armature headphones are aimed specifically at audiophiles as they repoduce very true to original sound with detailed mid ranges and highs.

Capture up to 1440p video with this Nextbase 522GW dash camera. Alexa enables hands-free control through voice commands, and Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi technologies sync with compatible smartphones for quick access to important footage. This Nextbase 522GW dash camera has ports for connecting compatible camera modules for easy expansion.

How does Alexa give you directions to your desired destination? Do they show up on the screen, or is this Alexa feature not available on this dash cam?

Alexa is present but it does not integrate into any build in GPS as far as I can tell. There are other devices such as the Garmin speak which combines a dash cam with Garmin + Alexa navigation via a skill but there is no screen on that device.

Garmin Speak™ Plus with Amazon Alexa is what you love about Amazon Alexa, now in your vehicle. Use voice control for hands-free access to music, news, navigation and more. Plus, a built-in dash cam gives you forward collision and lane departure warnings.

Can you please tell me more about the dash cam. Can it be controlled by voice or a remote button? Where does it store the videos and how can I get them? Through wifi or only sd card?

It is simply always recording. There is a separate app you must download if you want to view on your phone. It will connect to your phone via wi-fi but you can take out the Micro SD card if you want to plug the videos in to your computer. There is an overlay option which tells the drivers speed and a little more info as well. It also records in car audio.

If maps stay up to date , is the system using my data plan ? Garmin & TomTom use satellites , what does this system use ? Does this system in any way use my data plan and if so , how ?

I did a trip to a national park using this device. It appears there are no downloaded maps as the moment I lost my data connection the device didn't know what to do. It seems it is always using your data plan as long as you are using pretty much any of its features other than dashcam.

With all these features, Does it scan the road and next to the road for objects such as DEER ? If so will it alert you ?

From my experience, no. There is only lane detection warning and collision detection warning as added safety features.

Is there any way to do talk to text in tablet mode? Or make the keyboard swype at least?

There is no dictation function but there is a few keyboard settings that could help. You could configure the touch keyboard in split layout so you can use only your thumbs on each side of the screen to type. It takes a little practice but is useable when you get used to it. There is a also a "Scribble" mode where you can write on the screen and it will turn it into text.
