Overall useful, few kinks to work out
on July 16, 2017

A huge time saver, it is hard to find many faults in this unit. Only one area is left to be desired, other than that it is almost a perfect device!
Unboxing the device has pretty much zero assembly and you will find the device inside, a barrier device (to keep your robot from cleaning certain areas), documentation, a charging pad and batteries for the barrier device. It has A LOT of cardboard inside so you will have much trash to throw away after unboxing. Set up is a breeze, plug the charging pad into the wall, put your Roomba on top to charge and wait until it is ready. When ready to begin, press start on the robot or download the app to set up more advanced functions.
In operation, it works almost perfectly. The brush heads are both rubber (no actual brush) which will reduce or eliminate tangles from hair picked up off of the floor. The actual brush/vacuum area in the robot is small so expect a long vacuum period to finish a room or floor. It did a great job cleaning most surfaces and gets under the furniture very easily.
I only experienced one or two annoyance/problems in operation. Most of the sensors on the device seem to be pressure sensitive or dust sensing when vacuuming. It also has infrared sensor on top to find its charging station. Because of that, it cannot “see” where it is going, it kind of just picks a direction and keeps going until it bumps into something and eventually gets the whole room. Supposedly it uses the infrared sensors to kind of map out the room but it really feels like it is a lot of bump and go work at work here. Like I said, it is simply an annoyance since it seems there could be more efficient ways of getting the cleaning done. Otherwise my only problem is the charging cradle. It does not seem to sit very well on carpeted surfaces and the robot had issues docking with it autonomously. I had better performance on hard wood since it has a small grip pad on the bottom.
Setting a timer on the device for example, is great! It only cleans on Tuesdays and Fridays is great! You go to work and your house is vacuumed when you get home. Sometimes you need to find the unit since it cannot always find its ways back to the charging cradle though.
The dirt cartridge is small so expect to clean it out each time you vacuum but this is to be expected with a small device such as this. It does a great job picking up most dirt, rarely if ever get tangled in cords or objects and mostly works as advertised. A great product overall.

A Perfect Cup
on July 14, 2017

Overall, I am quite pleased with this unit. I have had many single serve and carafe coffee makers in the past and this one seems to fit my needs perfectly.
I was a bit turned off initially when unpacking since it seemed like it had a lot of extra thing-a-ma-bobs in the packaging but all serve a use and don’t take too much effort to figure out. Included in the box are the unit, a carafe, a permanent filter, water reservoir, coffee scoop (for proper measuring) and lots of protective plastic and cardboard.
Assembly is simple to figure out, after cleaning the unit I tried to make my first pot and hit a quick snag. Being the typical “I don’t need no stinkin’ documentation” kind of guy that I am, I couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t allow me to brew a pot of coffee when I pushed the buttons and it indicated it was warm enough. Turns out there is a small tab on the drip area which blocks any excess drip into the pot, you must turn that switch off… it is in the documentation but easy to miss since it is small and not too obvious.
The coffee brewer can brew four sizes of coffee in cup, travel mug, half carafe or full carafe. In addition, it can brew classic strength, rich brew or iced coffee. The measuring spoon ensures perfect coffee each time. I was extremely surprised with my first cup as it brewed a much better coffee than my previous brewer. Iced coffee came out perfect and a half carafe is perfect for two people going to work.
There is a delayed brew feature as well that is pretty simply to use if you want your pot ready the next morning (just make sure that annoying drip tab is set to “open”).
Overall, I think this brewer is a great buy. It looks good, makes great coffee with many choices (since it uses grounds) and lets you make many serving sizes.

Not great not bad

I came into this product test with high hopes but I just wasn't wowed or disappointed when finished. I am just kind of stuck with a shrug and an ok product that I don't hate or love.
First off, the product doesn’t look too inspired when you first see it but it isn’t poor quality either. It just feels… average. The contents are straightforward with the headphones, documentation, mini cable clips, a blue USB cable, LOTS of earbuds for a perfect fit and a case. Kudos on the case since most manufacturers don’t bother these days.
Pairing is your routine Bluetooth experience. It is advertised to get about 12 hours of battery life charged via micro USB 2.0. It is hidden under a rubber flap on the control part of the cable. Love rubber flaps or hate em but it keeps the device water resistant.
My first problem was the fit. It was hard to get a comfortable fit. Of course, everyone’s ears are going to be different but I rarely have any issues when trying out headphones, most seem to fit pretty well (with the exception of Powerbeats). Even with all the ear bud fittings, I couldn’t get a good seal, I found one that was satisfactory but I could tell when I held the earbuds in place with a perfect fit that I was probably going to miss out on some of the sound quality. The loop that goes around the ear feels kind of cheap and adjusts a little bit but not enough to hold it in my ear’s sweet spot. The cable connecting the two earbuds felt basic and I couldn’t help but wonder how it would hold up to wear and tear over time. The control pad has basic controls like volume and pause, it feels like cheap plastic. The earbuds themselves don’t look bad and feel of higher quality.
The sound quality is actually pretty good. I listen to a lot of electronic when working out and the bass is heavy but not overpowering, most of the details are there but mids seems a little plain. I was using my device with a phone which supports APT-X, also supported by the headphones. A good amount of the detail was present and the headphones were comfortable for wear for extended periods of time. It was nice not having to worry about the battery dying mid workout since it advertises about 12 hours of batter life.
Overall, if you can find a good fit and do not mind some of the cheaper materials, I think you might really like these headphones. Those are my only gripes and it might be user specific since I could never get a perfect fit. The sound quality was above average, it was easy to use and had great battery life and splash resistance. It seems like it had equal number of pros and cons so it is really up to the reader. Hope this helps!

Perfect laptop mouse
on June 28, 2017
Posted by: psyclopps
from Everett, WA
It is hard for me to say anything bad about this mouse. To begin, it is a travel mouse so you should expect a slightly smaller size than a desktop mouse. Aside from that possible issue, it is near perfect!
The device comes in a high-quality box that looks premium. There is the mouse, a dongle, usb cable (for charging) and documentation inside. The dongle is not needed if you are going to connect via Bluetooth but the RF connection might provide smoother mouse input.
Setup is a breeze. I charged the device via micro USB 2.0, plugged in the dongle and was gtg. For testing I tried pairing with Bluetooth, performance here was above average compared to other Bluetooth mice I have used in the past with smooth scrolling and quick response. I wouldn’t mind playing some action games via Bluetooth with this thing, its that good!
Ergonomics are superb other than it big a bit smaller. It fits perfect in the right hand and has four main buttons, a scroll wheel with smooth or precise scrolling, a middle button that can be user assigned. The materials it is made of are high quality and it feels like it would do great after a few drops. The battery life seems fine so far and should last a long time.
I recommend you download the Logitech software for mouse updates and to gain the ability to reassign buttons as needed.
Again, I can find no fault in this mouse. Go buy it now!

Great for kids!
on May 31, 2017

These things are great for kids overall. My child is 4 and went crazy for them when he saw them. As a parent I feel they are very appropriate for the age and safe for child use.
They packaging is barely bigger than the headphones and is rather straight forward. Upon opening, the device itself is perfect size for children and is an on the ear form factor so it will allow a decent amount of sound to come in from the outside. The stickers come in a variety of designers that the child can put on the ear portions. The stickers shift shape when you move them. The blue design is fun for kids, they are lightweight, and fold up for travel.
Sound quality was a bit hard to test since it was hard to wear them as an adult. Surprisingly there is a good amount of bass on these, there is very little detail on the higher notes though and sounds a little flat. For what they are they are pretty good headphones overall and I am sure kids will not be obsessing over sound quality, I would rate them at a 6/10 when compared to a good pair of adult headphones. Concerning safety, the maximum volume is relatively low to protect kids hearing. The build quality feels above average compared to similar products. They are made of plastic but feel much sturdier than others I have tried and will probably stand up well to toddler abuse.

Almost perfect

You might be hard pressed to find a better pair of Bluetooth headphones.
The package is nice and well thought out but is almost all cardboard. Inside you will find the headphones, a pleather carrying case, a long USB cable (which can carry Hi-Fi audio to the headphones on a PC), and documentation.
The headphones themselves look to be a nice cross between professional and fashionable. It feels very durable and is mostly metal. The comfort level is superb with soft portions on the top of the head and great padding for the ears. Most headphones like this will trap a lot of heat but I never seemed to experience this problem with these.
I tested the headphones with three devices, a Google Pixel (plain old AD2P Bluetooth), a LG G6 (APT-X) and USB for some Hi-Fi audio that I have downloaded. They all performed wonderfully. I started with the Pixel to hear regular Bluetooth audio. I was thoroughly impressed from the get go. The main stand out part of the audio is how much it emphasizes the "punch" and details of the music. Bass and treble were not too heavy but everything just simply sounded clean and pure. I then tried it with the LG G6 with the higher quality Apt-X codec. It was hard to tell any difference but it was still overall amazing. When hooked up to the PC via USB I was able to see a little bit of differences in quality as the tracks were 24bit. Mostly just finer details but nothing that would be too noticeable, if you are a huge audiophile you might be able to tell quite a bit more. Phone calls came in just fine with these and callers stated they could understand me just fine.
Here are my only gripes, but none of them were large enough for me to give up any stars. First, these headphones are not noise cancelling. Their side and fit cuts out a large amount of sound but you can still hear the TV and the kids playing in the background. Second, the volume control and play buttons on the headphones are a bit confusing. The volume switch feels similar to a spring loaded slider but you have to make very deliberate movements to adjust. The Play/pause button is more of a touch sensor which is kind of annoying as I accidentally hit it when trying to adjust volume.
These are almost certainly my new favorite headphones and will be replacing my Bose ones for regular listening.

Great product, best Wemo yet

I love this thing!
I have a few Wemo Light Switches installed in my house and also have Wemo Switch Smart Plugs around the house. Having tried this new Wemo dimmer installed in my bedroom I can say this is their best product yet and they have a hit.
Installation is exactly the same as any other Wemo Light Switch if you are familiar. You will need to ensure your switch only has one feed and the cables will need to be a ground (green or copper), neutral (white), load (red or black) and hot (black). If you are not familiar, some YouTube videos can easily teach you but if you are uncomfortable working with electricity safely, please get a professional to help install.
The box comes with absolutely everything you need to get this working including instructions, face plate, the device, wire caps, and wire labels. The only thing I added to this was some electrical tape to ensure no exposed wires.
After an install in my bedroom, I reenergized the unit and saw the nice glow of the unit. I used the easy to use Wemo App to set up the device to my wifi and it was up and running very quickly. I then got it synced up with my Alexa to test it further.
I knew it was a dimmer but I did not expect the great smart dimmer functions. My favorite one being that you can set a rule to have it at a certain brightness in the evening and the morning is full power. I have mine set to 20% brightness after 9pm and full after 7. This is just great for some extra comfort.
It looks cool, is easy to use, works with devices like Alexa and Google home and is an overall easy install. What else is there to love?

Not for everyone but good product
on May 7, 2017

This is first electric razor of this style. I have often used the rotary types and usually go back and forth between that and a blade depending on how my skin is doing at any point.
This razor is rather basic but has some good styling. The grips are a nice feeling rubber ensuring you can stay in control. It also feels well built. The charger is interesting since it has no cord but plugs directly in the wall. This was convenient but also concerning for me since all put together it isn't light and I was worried it would start dropping and cause too much wear on the outlet over time.
In actual practice this razor was good. It gave me a closer shave than my rotary type and caused less wear and tear on my face than a blade. On the downside, to achieve this close shave, it took a few extra minutes to finish as I had to be very mindful of where the grain was on my face. Rotary types just have you shave in a circular motion, this one didn't seem to give me great results unless I went up and down with and against the grain.
Charge time is advertised at about 21 minutes of continuous charge which is about average, but it takes about 8 hours to get a full charge with the included charger according to the back printing which says, "CHARGE TIME 8 h". As I didn't want to wait and see I just plug it in after every use but this could prove an issue if you travel a lot and run out of juice as there is no included cord and it must be docked to charge. You might have to go scruffy until a decent charge takes hold.
The device uses a Ni-MH battery so it will have some issues down the road in comparison to a Li-Ion battery.
I wanted to love this razor as it does provide a good shave when used properly. It has a lot of shortcomings, such as no cord, short battery life/long charge time and battery tech and weird charging method that might be a bit much if you have an outlet with loose connectors. It is worth it but I wouldn't expect an ultra-premium device. It is more than capable though.

Cool but research first

Overall, it is a good product with good sound quality and fits in small places. I was excited to get it but realized after using it that it might not be the perfect product and is not for everyone.
Lets start with the obvious, this thing is small compared to a normal soundbar/subwoofer. The bar is next to one of my 46 inch TVs in my house and looks tiny in comparison and I placed the wireless subwoofer next to the couch in the room where it is out of sight and mind. You can also place under your couch if desired.
Hook up baffled me a little bit, this is the first sound bar I have seen with NO HDMI input/output! The only means of feeding audio to this device are an aux in, bluetooth and an optical in. I was happy my TV had an optical output to feed the device but be wary if you depend on your receiver/soundbar to manage HDMI devices. With this device all other devices will need to feed into your TV directly. This is not a show stopper but if your TV doesnt have an optical output, bluetooth audio or aux out then you will be out of luck.
Sound quality is pretty good, it sounds a lot bigger than it really is and supports lots of cool Sony and Dolby output technologies. It really is good for small rooms and has nice room filling profiles and very effective night modes. It provided a decent simulation of spacial effects as well. Bluetooth audio worked great and NFC makes paring with devices extra simple.
There is no display to speak of and only a few light indicators on the sound bar. This is not a huge deal but you will need the manual to tell if you turned on the Clear sound profile or not and other profiles since you will only know if you know that the USB indicator blinking with the Bluetooth indicator = Dolby profile for example (not the exact combination, just an example of how it seems to work). I suggest you set it up the way you like it the first time and never touch it again.
I would say this bar is worth the purchase if you understand the limitations as it sounds great, has great connectivity for mobile devices, looks cool and fits anywhere.

Great overall

After a full day of use, I am loving this speaker! First, off the cool factor is there. I got the version in a dark blue, it almost looks purple. When you turn it on first sync your music. The light show is pretty entertaining and if you have any toddlers around the house they will stare at it for hours.
The product comes in your typical Sony boxing which is rather cheap and unappealing. There is nothing special about the unboxing experience and you will just find the speaker, a charging cable and some documentation in the box. No frills here. I synced up the device with my Android Phone using NFC and with a tap, it was ready to go.
The documentation recommends you download the ones of Sony’s apps for added control. I downloaded it and feel for the average person it will be pretty useless. If you own multiple speakers and want to control the tethering it comes in handy and if you want to mess with the EQ settings and light features a little more in depth it gives you a few more options.
Sound quality is great overall. I compared it to some other speakers and the mids seemed a bit lacking with lots of emphasis on Mega Bass. If you are in a large room this sounds great but in my bedroom it just seemed like too much. I did not like the sound when I turned Mega Bass off as it seemed too muffled. As stated earlier, there are EQ settings in the app but I did not see any drastic difference after messing with that. This speaker seems tuned to carry sound in larger rooms and open air settings which I feel it excels at (pool party!!!).
The device is also water resistant to rain and splashes (not waterproof so don't drop it in a pool). Again, this speaker appears designed to be used outdoors and it is light enough to carry around. The box says it can do 24 hours of music. This was difficult to test but I did play it in my office the entire day without charging and it ran strong the entire time over a 10 hour shift. There is also a USB attachment on the back under a flap so you can charge your devices. Also, you can turn off the lights if you find them annoying or they do not fit the setting.
If you have a use for an outdoor speaker a large room, and want something durable and exciting with blinking lights to start conversations and have some fun, this speaker is great. I plan on using this quite a bit and would love to take it on trips. A great buy overall!

Game was not tested properly
By skullboy88 from Los Angeles, CA
First of all the reason for such a low rating is that the game is not playable. Right out the box. Now, I have been building pc's for over 10 years and have sunk hundreds of dollars into my rig to play the most demanding games. And I do. The problem is that ID software sent out a game to the public that is not finished. Google, rage graphics problems and you will find a magnitude of arcticles about poor graphics bad drivers and other issues. AMD and Nvidia have been working for a driver patch but reports from many say they do not work to fix the tearing and poor rendering . People are paying $60.00 for a pc game. Dont you think it should work right away without having to wait for a patch?

Horrid Sound
By DELienz from Delaware
I had pair of Sony Headphones that I bought a few years ago for approx. $50 dollars... Sounded Amazing, but I recently ran then over with my car... Anyway bought these assuming the sound would be similar and also compensate for my only complaint with my other heardphones which was falling constantly out of my ear during workouts. Turns out these are more expensive but that sound terrible. Tried changing the setting on my IPOD and there is no overcoming the lack of bass. I am a auidiophile and I do listen to music a lot of double bass and drums so bass is something I must have in a headphone. If that's what you looking for don't buy these. I'm confident cheaper headphones with the same quality sound can be obtained so I would not recommend these to anyone...

Balanced Armature
June 28, 2012
Balanced Armature headphones are designed to sound like the original recording. Most headphones these days are "dynamic armature" which are designed kind of like a hardware equilizer where bass is usually most important. Any of these balanced armature headphones are aimed specifically at audiophiles as they repoduce very true to original sound with detailed mid ranges and highs.

Will every unit come with two ethernet ports? Can they be used for wired backhaul or direct ethernet?

Yes, each unit comes with two ethernet. I haven't tried wired backhaul but you can indeed plug them all directly to the router for direct ethernet.

Get peace and quiet anywhere with these Sony truly wireless noise-cancelling earbuds. An advanced HD noise-cancelling processor blocks distracting background noise so you can focus in noisy environments, and Bluetooth connectivity ensures easy use with smartphones and other devices. These Sony truly wireless noise-cancelling earbuds include a convenient charging case that offers up to 24 hours of use per charge.

Can they work independently? Is there a microphone in each piece so you can just switch between the 2 to gain the most amount of battery time?

Yes they do! Each earbud gets its own independent stream so you can use them exactly as you describe.

Capture up to 1440p video with this Nextbase 522GW dash camera. Alexa enables hands-free control through voice commands, and Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi technologies sync with compatible smartphones for quick access to important footage. This Nextbase 522GW dash camera has ports for connecting compatible camera modules for easy expansion.

How does Alexa give you directions to your desired destination? Do they show up on the screen, or is this Alexa feature not available on this dash cam?

Alexa is present but it does not integrate into any build in GPS as far as I can tell. There are other devices such as the Garmin speak which combines a dash cam with Garmin + Alexa navigation via a skill but there is no screen on that device.

Garmin Speak™ Plus with Amazon Alexa is what you love about Amazon Alexa, now in your vehicle. Use voice control for hands-free access to music, news, navigation and more. Plus, a built-in dash cam gives you forward collision and lane departure warnings.

Can you please tell me more about the dash cam. Can it be controlled by voice or a remote button? Where does it store the videos and how can I get them? Through wifi or only sd card?

It is simply always recording. There is a separate app you must download if you want to view on your phone. It will connect to your phone via wi-fi but you can take out the Micro SD card if you want to plug the videos in to your computer. There is an overlay option which tells the drivers speed and a little more info as well. It also records in car audio.

If maps stay up to date , is the system using my data plan ? Garmin & TomTom use satellites , what does this system use ? Does this system in any way use my data plan and if so , how ?

I did a trip to a national park using this device. It appears there are no downloaded maps as the moment I lost my data connection the device didn't know what to do. It seems it is always using your data plan as long as you are using pretty much any of its features other than dashcam.

With all these features, Does it scan the road and next to the road for objects such as DEER ? If so will it alert you ?

From my experience, no. There is only lane detection warning and collision detection warning as added safety features.

Is there any way to do talk to text in tablet mode? Or make the keyboard swype at least?

There is no dictation function but there is a few keyboard settings that could help. You could configure the touch keyboard in split layout so you can use only your thumbs on each side of the screen to type. It takes a little practice but is useable when you get used to it. There is a also a "Scribble" mode where you can write on the screen and it will turn it into text.
