I am truly pleased to provide my review on the 2-DVD title "Elvis: The Great Performances". I consider this to be one of the very best documentaries on Elvis Presley, ever since its initial release at movie theaters in 1981, then issued on VHS tape, and now available with superb video and audio quality on DVD. All of the historical content, the audio, and the video material is of the absolute highest quality. This documentary chronicles the man, the artist, the entertainer, his music, and his contributions, in a refreshingly accurate and respectful manner. It provides fast moving, educating, and very entertaining coverage on most of the essential public and private aspects of Elvis Aron Presley. There was one and only, and this world will never know another, Elvis. May his memory forever shine brightly!

This Is NOT Relevant To Elvis' 1st Gospel Album!!!

This compilation, while it claims to feature artist "Elvis Presley", has no relevance at all to Elvis' beautiful, Grammy Award winning spiritual material. In fact, this title, while displaying cover art from Elvis' first gospel album, is not relevant at all to either any music of Elvis Presley's or to any true gospel music. The "song" tracks are quite weird and the "singer" gives an oddball impression. I, and most people with whom I've conferred, do not see or get this apparent attempt at an off-joke.

The title of this CD could also have appropriately been "Jackie Wilson - That's Why We Love You So". "The Very Best of Jackie Wilson" titled CD is one which I positively had to add to my vast and eclectic music collection, and is a truly fine choice to update my old vinyl records of Jackie Wilson to digital. On this single compact-disc is contained a total compilation of two dozen of this uniquely talented artist's very best songs. All tracks have beautifully outstanding audio quality, which almost seems as if bringing this artist and his impressively superior quality gift of song back to life in these contemporary times. All tracks are original recordings. Almost all tracks are the hit songs that serve as definite evidence of the reason why Jackie Wilson had attained an everlasting reputation for special excellence in the music world. These are his best hit songs, accompanied by just a few extras to offer a more accurately balanced perspective of his singing career. Jackie Wilson, prior to lending his talents to recording and performing music, had temporarily tried to be a professional boxer, but, so fortunate for music history and his enormity of admirers, his direction clearly changed. For a brief while, before Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King, he joined and led The Drifters. Jackie Wilson didn't only find wonderful songs, not actually penning the majority of them, he more importantly lent, to each and every song that he recorded, his fantastic vocal abilities and stylings. Jackie Wilson was a soulful artist of the Rock 'n' Roll era. Early in his solo career, from 1957 thru 1961, he had a string of consistently superb recordings that became popular hits, often played on juke boxes and the radio, such as "Lonely Teardrops", "To Be Loved", "That's Why I Love You So", "I'll Be Satisfied", and "Night". Thru much of the 1960's, Jackie had sporadically enjoyed only a couple of hits, as "Baby, Workout" in 1963. His final major hit song came in 1967 with "Higher and Higher". They're all absolutely here, and a few additional included recordings extend to 1972, again to offer a well rounded view on his music. Jackie gave his special quality treatment to, and did record, various forms of music, some popular songs long before his time, some fitting to the era, some latter recordings of a slight "Motown" feel. One aspect for which Jackie Wilson had earned an entertaining reputation, during his earlier to his later career, was as a master showman on stage; moving around in a rather artistic and athletic manner. Elvis Presley, referred to as "The King", had earnestly admired Jackie Wilson, as he similarly admired Roy Hamilton, who was also a soulful singer of that era. In the mid-1960's, Elvis took a photo with Jackie, and signed it with the sentence "Jackie, You've Got A Friend For Life". Elvis had continued to proudly be photographed with Jackie, as late as September 1974, when they both performed in Las Vegas. Tragically, less than one year afterwards, in 1975, Jackie had collapsed from a heart attack on stage, while performing in Atlantic City; and, due to the fall, causing a serious skull fracture. He spent his remaining nine years unable to recover in a coma. Jackie Wilson, the man, the voice, the magnificent artistry, the great music, his music, lives on for all to thoroughly enjoy.

THIS BEST OF SAM COOKE COLLECTION SENDS ME!!!

Sam Cooke, in his brief and tragically ended career and lifetime, contributed his very unique and soulful singing style to the early Rock 'n' Roll era. A further noteworthy credit to his talents is the fact that he had personally written nearly every one of these great hit songs. He wasn't necessarily as famous for, but had done a beautiful body of gospel material, too. On this single compact-disc, derived from his most famously known album of the 1960's, there are one dozen of his essential hit songs, plus three bonus tracks. Right here are most of this artist's best, from his 1957 initial hit "You Send Me" to his 1959 hit "What A Wonderful World It Would Be" to his 1961 hits "Cupid" and "Twistin' The Night Away" to one of his final hits from 1962 "Bring It On Home To Me". I'm just a bit surprised to find "Another Saturday Night" not included, though this does offer those interested in a truly gifted legend's music to look forward to purchase more Sam Cooke CD's, at Best Buy low prices. I strongly recommend this CD, and almost anyone can find at least some special song to enjoy.

ULTIMATE COLLECTION OF BARRY MANILOW'S BEST

"Ultimate Manilow" is a totally appropriate title for this CD, as it contains an impressive collection of all this artist's best recordings, and most essential hit songs, on a single disc. To me, it seems almost like yesterday when I had been a youngster, back in 1973, and just happened to turn on a little black and white television to view the forever famous show "American Bandstand", hosted by the legendary late Dick Clark. Appropriately and interestingly, Manilow penned the catchy theme song "Bandstand Boogie". On that show, he described how he originally got into showbiz by writing product advertisement tunes heard frequently on tv. Nevertheless, upon one of his latter successes with "I Write The Songs", he admitted to the fact that, despite what most of his fans believed, he had actually not written this song or a majority of songs that brought him to fame and fortune. This televised appearance was my own initial introduction to a then new, soon to be very successful artist, Barry Manilow. Throughout most of the 1970's and into the 80's, Barry Manilow remained near or at the top of the charts. I recall the memorable moment in time as my dad and I stopped into a local pizza shop and I heard Barry Manilow's initial hit "It's A Miracle" broadcasted loudly over the radio. He did co-write this song, as well as a poignant beauty "This One's For You", for his departed grandfather. One of my true favorites, had not at all been written by him, "Can't Smile Without You". He co-wrote a superb song, "Copacabana", the lyrics of which are telling of quite a story, and the rich Latin rhythm was enjoyed by my mom, and had been truly fitting during the early Disco era. Barry Manilow did, indisputably, offer songs a special quality treatment. What Barry Manilow lacked in facial handsomeness, even though so many female fans went crazily wild over him, he certainly compensated for as a really good singer, further owing to the complimenting instrumental arrangements, and as a master showman on stage. He had also written or co-written a few additional of his hit songs, but whether or not he sang his own great songs or those great songs written by others, his talents and his quite elaborate live performances earned considerable success and acclaim. On this single compact-disc is a compilation of a total of twenty tracks, and far more than half of these tracks prove exactly why his quality recordings attained for Barry Manilow such a high level of fame and fortune, and a highly dedicated following. I, personally, am not a huge fan; though I am thoroughly entertained by many of his songs, plus I decided to add this superior sounding CD to my sizeably eclectic music collection. Such pure quality music, such superb quality material, at this beyond reasonable price, should persuade everyone to purchase it, also.

PATSY CLINE EXPRESSED HEARTACHE THRU SONG

Patsy Cline will always be classified as a legendary Country music artist, whom had very unique vocal capabilities and song performance styling. She was best known, and justifiably so, for expressing heartache thru song. In her all too brief, tragically ended life and career, she amassed an impressive body of music material, which influenced so many other talented artists to follow, from Country to Pop music. For example, roughly a decade after her passing, the influence of her songs and singing style became evident in artists such as Linda Rondstat, and during more recent times, in Leann Rimes. There have been some successful duets rerecorded, or dubbed together, of Patsy Cline's songs and that of modern day Country artists, or posthumous duets of both her and Jim Reeves versions of "Have You Ever Been Lonely?". The latter, if you may appreciate this kind of music, is quite lovely and poignant, and, even though that song is not included in this collection, it's mentioned as a track to look forward to on additionally available collections, and is highly recommend. On this great collection, however, there are the impressively heart-wrenching works, with digitally remastered audio quality, as "Sweet Dreams Of You", "I Fall To Pieces", "Walkin' After Midnight", "Faded Love", "Heartaches", and "Crazy", among several others. Patsy Cline's legendary contributions are not to be forgotten. Enjoy this great selection, at a very reasonable price.

DYSON AM06: SMALLER BUT AS COOL AS AM07 & AM08

My review on "Dyson Cool Fan-AM06" is entirely favorable. This model's ten-inch annular aperture, as compared to larger and overall quite different designs of the models AM07 and AM08, does provide an approximate, yet appropriate, nearly half the flow of air magnification. However, in fairness, this AM06 model is intended for a somewhat different purpose, such as on a desktop or tabletop. These Dyson units are conceived with due consideration, and, even though this is a considerably measurable difference in airflow, the lesser magnification of air is somehow barely noticeable. All of the aforementioned models of Dyson Cool Fans are improved replacements of earlier models, and, as for the AM06, it actually has noticeably smoother operation #the manufacturer claims a significant improvement of seventy-five percent quieter#. Each unit comes equipped with a remote, although I fail to comprehend a reason why this simple and positive fact is often disputed by many of Dyson's Customer Service Agents. Some consumers remark, and I do concur, that the remote is very small and easily lost. The positive points of the remote commander is it helps to conveniently perform or change functions and settings at a distance, such as oscillation, speed, timer, and on/off. The remote is tiny and cute, contoured, and consideration has been applied to permit magnetic attachment of the remote to the unit. Although no additional remotes are currently available, when they hopefully will soon be, you may purchase extra or replacement remotes directly from the manufacturer, Dyson, at the cost of an average ordinary fan. If asked which of these various models I would recommend #I honestly like all of them#, the answer would positively depend upon your personal preferences and needs. For a consumer preferring a very slightly noticeable decrease in powerful airflow and/or a need for space efficiency, the AM06 is a very smart choice. Besides, while all of these are undeniably pricey investments, for any average consumer, this model is significantly lower in its regular cost. One manner of perceiving these impressive Dyson fans is that the bladeless concept is amazing, but, as for cost, the safety aspects of a fan operating without rotating blades, eliminating potential dangers, is priceless. Further, cleaning the inevitable dust accumulation from the unit, compared to any ordinary fan, is so much easier, it's a breeze. I, at least in my own opinion, must indicate that the unique styling of model AM07 lends best of all to the symbolism of this unique invention. Again, though, for numerous reasons, the AM06 is a great choice. Dyson Cool Fans, no matter which model one chooses to purchase, is an amazingly cool concept.

How Often Used:3-5 times a week
These "Sennheiser" Headphones-model HD558 are amazing. They bring out the best in any form of music, yielding a wide-spectrum of audio (bass, midrange, and treble) to allow the listener a comfortable and entertaining listening session. The pricing of these headphones disguises the fact that they are actually high-end. I would not assert this claim if it was not the absolute truth, as I am an ardent music lover and an audiophile.

Lend your attention to my honest review and I assure that all will find it worthwhile. I had been provided very little advice prior to deciding this would be one of two digital cameras I'd choose to purchase. That said, however, I must be fair in complimenting the respectful, amiable BBY Salesperson, since their service was great in helping to compare the features, confirming my knowledge was correct, and effecting a purchase of a needed product at a superbly reasonable BBY price that proved "picture perfect". This tiny Nikon digital camera may be more than surprising to most users. Huge assortment of fabulous features included & manufactured with excellence, plus so easy to operate and obtain satisfying results. The reason#s# for its name "Coolpix" becomes evident almost upon opening the box. If anyone recalls a majority of the cameras and bulky camcorders of not so long ago, the Coolpix L620, puts those expensive, cumbersome devices to shame. I am rather accustomed to a variety of video and audio equipment; particularly due to my entertainment/other event assignments. This camera has instantly become one of my new friends...helping to capture valued memories and important events in full HD quality. I certainly wish, in retrospect, this device had been available years ago when I truly desired to take photos and videos, especially of special family and beloved, rescued pets, with such ease and such beautiful results. Whether your needs are professional or personal, this is among the positively best video devices you will enjoy.

"THAT'S THE WAY IT IS" VIDEO DOCUMENTARY IS AVAILABLE HERE IN A DOUBLE-DISC COLLECTION WITH SUPERBLY REMASTERED FULL HD QUALITY VIDEO+AUDIO MATERIAL. THIS DOCUMENTARY, ORIGINALLY RELEASED IN 1970, IS KNOWN AS THE NEXT TO LAST OF THIRTY-THREE MOVIES MADE DURING HIS CAREER. This Sony Xplod Boombox will positively amaze the listener with realistic audio(bass, midrange, & treble). Do not allow the slightly smaller than average boombox size to surprise you. And, the price may be too reasonable for its performance. I purchased the originally designed model of Xplod and am still enjoying it. Even old and rare, so-called "soundboard" CD/cassettes will not sound inferior, but will come alive. Sony manufactured different styles/versions of Xplod since I initially bought it nearly five years ago. This newer version is immensely improved in appearance, features, and the audio output is spectacular. Take this advice from a very particular audiophile!!!

NOTE ON SONY MODEL ZS-BTG900 FOR HEADPHONE USERS

For HEADPHONE users, who may sometimes prefer listening to their audio in that manner- be it for privacy, or to avoid disturbing others, or to simply enjoy your music via headphones- there is a noteworthy detail. This Sony boombox does NOT support the use of any type of headphone. There is definitely no manner in which to plug in a wired headphone, nor for it to recognize a wireless headphone. The wireless or bluetooth enabled feature is so as to get this unit to recognize and play audio output via incoming audio feed. Further, although there is a tiny jack at the front lower right side of this unit, it is clearly marked for its sole purpose; namely, "audio in". I had contacted Sony Customer Relations, as well as their tech-support, to politely inquire as to the reason why their newer, improved models are not compatible with any headphone, while other older models of their "Xplod" series boomboxes and numerous other large and small devices do, indeed, support this feature. Well, I would have ordinarily expected far better customer relations from Sony than I received. I, candidly, was unpleasantly surprised by Sony representatives who had very, very nastily insisted that no boombox ever created allows for compatibility with any headphone. Sony's answer was not only unnecessarily offensive, their responses on a very simple audio question were totally inaccurate. It did not change their attitude when I indicated proof of the many units which positively do support headphones, including at least one of their older "Xplod" models, which I've owned for a few years now and still use. While I recognize that some customers may think it's ridiculous to use a headphone with a boombox, many other less expensive models are compatible with headphones, and it is very possible that a headphone option could sometimes be desired. I really wonder why Sony decided to exclude the rather basic, inexpensive feature of a headphone jack from their newer, improved, and much more expensive models. By the way, even though model ZS-BTG900 is often referred to as part of the "Xplod" boombox line of audio products, and I consider it to actually be just a larger boombox, you may eventually learn yourself that it is named a "personal audio system". Nonetheless, I do hope that certain HEADPHONE users may find this commentary worthy of mention. Enjoy!!!

IT IS TRUE, IF YOU WANT TO USE CORDED HEADPHONES WHEN LISTENING TO AUDIO ON MODEL ZS-BTG900, YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK. WHY THEY CHOSE TO NOT INCLUDE A HEADPHONE JACK OPTION ON THEIR NEW AND IMPROVED MODELS DOES SEEM PECULIAR. IT MAY BE POSSIBLE THAT THEY COULD SUPPORT ONLY WIRELESS HEADPHONES, WHILE THIS AND OTHER NEWER MODELS OF AUDIO SYSTEMS DO LACK THE OFTEN EXPECTED AND BASIC FEATURE OF REGULAR HEADPHONE COMPATABILITY. ALSO, AS FOR THOSE "SONY" REPRESENTATIVES, WHO HAD PROVIDED IGNORANT AND NASTY SERVICE, ALL SORTS OF BUSINESSES HAVE SOME REGRETTABLY ROTTEN EGGS, AS WELL AS THOSE TRULY GOOD EGGS. "SONY" AND "SAMSUNG" ARE, USUALLY, TWO OF THE BETTER IN CUSTOMER RELATION ISSUES. IN MY OPINION, ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR MANUFACTURERS THESE DAYS, "TOSHIBA", HAS REPRESENTATIVES THAT YOU CAN ALMOST ANTICIPATE WILL EXHIBIT AN ATTITUDE OF INFERIOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND RELUCTANCE TO PROVIDE PRODUCT SUPPORT, AT LEAST UNLESS YOU PAY FEE AFTER FEE, EVEN FOR A NEW "TOSHIBA" PRODUCT UNDER WARRANTY. AS FOR THIS "SONY" MODEL, INDEED, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO SIMPLY LISTEN TO THE GREATLY ENHANCED SPEAKERS OF THIS UNIT, YOU REALLY DO APPRECIATE AWESOME AUDIO OUTPUT. Accept this advice from a very particular audiophile. Sony's "Xplod" line of boomboxes provide the listener with amazingly realistic quality audio output#ie- full range bass, midrange, treble#. In fact, I myself had been quite pleasantly surprised by the performance of their original model, which I purchased roughly six years ago, and continue to enjoy to this current day. Even older or so-called "soundboard" recordings on CD/cassette won't sound inferior, as on this device all comes alive. As for the not so favorable reaction of neighbors, landlords, etc., the listening pleasure derived will, in my opinion, more than compensate. Many of these persons usually won't admit that they can't help actually enjoying what they're hearing#almost up-to-par with the likes of a free-live-performance#, but just try to be a bit considerate and lower the volume of its rich, full-range spectrum of sound. From "Good Ol' R&R" to orchestral symphonies to most contemporary music, you will be highly impressed and pleased. I'm not excluding the FM/AM radio & other features; it's basically needless to say that, in fact, any listener will find all it's capable of doing is equally fantastic. Sony has marketed various versions with far less appealing appearances than their recent boomboxes#an added plus is "Xplod" has been improved in its looks and features#, though I've been pleased with all in that, evidently, Sony surely knows how to manufacture a not-so-large boombox with immensely enjoyable qualities. So, join me in purchasing the Sony "Xplod" with the extra benefits of being a Best Buy customer. Believe it or not, this concludes my review, but I will likely continue my praises.

NEW SONY BOOMBOXES SOUND GREAT-BUT MISSING BASICS

I know, for a fact, that I'm not alone in noticing and disliking that newer, improved boomboxes manufactured by "Sony" are missing basic features. First, the issue of compatibility with corded headphones, this model has a headphone jack, yet the even more expensive model #ZS-BTG900 does not support any corded headphone. Even though these are loud boomboxes, there are times when using a headphone is desirable or necessary. Moreover, while the model #ZS-BTG900 does not support any headphone, it does play compact discs. As for this model, it cannot play any compact discs. Does "Sony" really believe that removing these expected and wanted features is an improved concept? For what legitimate reason did "Sony" remove such basic features from their modern models? These models sound great, but not all customers are pleased with these somewhat ridiculous changes. Call 1(800)222-SONY!!!

Accept this advice from a very particular audiophile. Sony's "Xplod" line of boomboxes provide the listener with amazingly realistic quality audio output#ie- full range bass, midrange, treble#. In fact, I myself had been quite pleasantly surprised by the performance of their original model, which I purchased roughly six years ago, and continue to enjoy to this current day. Even older or so-called "soundboard" recordings on CD/cassette won't sound inferior, as on this device all comes alive. As for the not so favorable reaction of neighbors, landlords, etc., the listening pleasure derived will, in my opinion, more than compensate. Many of these persons usually won't admit that they can't help actually enjoying what they're hearing#almost up-to-par with the likes of a free-live-performance#, but just try to be a bit considerate and lower the volume of its rich, full-range spectrum of sound. From "Good Ol' R&R" to orchestral symphonies to most contemporary music, you will be highly impressed and pleased. I'm not excluding the FM/AM radio & other features; it's basically needless to say that, in fact, any listener will find all it's capable of doing is equally fantastic. Sony has marketed various versions with far less appealing appearances than their recent boomboxes#an added plus is "Xplod" has been improved in its looks and features#, though I've been pleased with all in that, evidently, Sony surely knows how to manufacture a not-so-large boombox with immensely enjoyable qualities. So, join me in purchasing the Sony "Xplod" with the extra benefits of being a Best Buy customer. Believe it or not, this concludes my review, but I will likely continue my praises.

I DO APOLOGIZE, NO HARM INTENDED; THOUGH I NOW RECOGNIZE THAT I HAD, EVIDENTLY, CONFUSED FEATURES AND QUALITY OF ONE RECENT "SONY" MODEL WITH ANOTHER NEW MODEL, ZS-TGB900. THIS SPECIFIC MODEL OF "SONY" WIRELESS BLUETOOTH BOOMBOX ONLY HAS AN AM/FM RADIO, NOT A CD PLAYER, OR A REMOTE COMMANDER. ALSO, THE AUDIO QUALITY OF THIS MODEL'S SPEAKERS IS REMARKABLY EXCELLENT, BUT ACTUALLY NOT ALL THAT SPECTACULAR. I, HONESTLY, PREFER SOME OLDER "XPLOD" MODELS, FOR NUMEROUS REASONS. THEY, GENERALLY, WERE SLIGHTLY SMALLER, HAD VERY EXCELLENT SOUND FOR THEIR SIZE, AND, HAD MANY ADDITIONAL FEATURES; INCLUDING AN AM/FM RADIO, A CD PLAYER, A REMOTE COMMANDER, PLUS THE OPTION OF PLUGGING IN CORDED HEADPHONES. AGAIN, BOTH OF THE AFOREMENTIONED NEWER MODELS ARE GREAT IN THEIR RESPECTIVE WAYS, BUT THE "SONY" MODEL #: ZS-TGB900 IS FAR SUPERIOR IN REALISTIC, WIDE-SPECTRUM AUDIO QUALITY, WITH AN EMPHASIS ON TRULY IMPRESSIVE BASS WHEN SET ON LOUDER VOLUME, AND INCLUDES A CD PLAYER, AND A REMOTE COMMANDER. how to keep tv screen from going black randomly when watching it
tv only 4 months old and after watching a while, time varies on any given day, the picture goes BLACK ON ALL CHANNELS AND ONLY THE SOUND REMAINS. only fix is to turn off and on again until the next time it happens. getting old real quick whats the fix ? brand new tv !!!!!

Firstly, your issue seems odd to me, as I own the same Samsung HDTV model and I find its performance consistently superb and flawless. In your case, of your screen "going black randomly when watching it", have you ever considered it may be simply a connection problem, a loose or faulty connection? If you are using an antenna, this could be caused by various conditions, even inclement weather; though, you should check and ensure connections are secure and the antenna is in proper working condition. Other than that, if your issue persists, you might need repairs. Anyway, hope I've been of help. Good luck!

Hi there, "Anonymous". The definite answer to your recent question is that anyone may add data using an SSD without voiding the warranty. I, myself, own and use the same exact laptop and l do this frequently with no concern of voiding any warranty. Just a mention anyway, be advised, if you wish to or if you need to ask assistance of the manufacturer, "Toshiba", their agents have unpleasantly surprised me, and some people I know, by not helping with the slightest matter, even while under full warranty, or if they do provide very, very basic assistance, they are consistently reluctant to help. "Toshiba" agents will take so much of your time, while they repeatedly insist on being paid over and over and over. Perhaps some other companies mistreat their consumers, too, but I'd not have imagined that "Toshiba" isn't caring of their products or their consumers who purchase their products. This may not be specifically relevant to your question, though I thought that I should share this with another customer of the same "Toshiba" model. Again, you won't void any warranty using SSD. MY fellow customer, I'd more than suppose the answer to your question is the Dyson model on clearance at a lower price is of those originally marketed, which were almost intolerably noisy. Dyson's newly released models are improved, operating in a considerably smoother and quieter manner. So, I don't know whether the noise would annoy you, and, if not you could obviously save $100 on your purchase. Anyhow, I think that is the answer. Hope I've been of help.

Does the base swivel?
Does the base swivel? If so, how much?
The base sort of does move, but just ever so slightly. It allows a small repositioning to adjust a bit from one side or the other. Realistically, I wouldn't definitely consider this base actually having a swivel feature.
