Vacuum is nice, but the app was flaky

It took me a long time and multiple tries to get the vacuum working with the app, for some reason. I see that some had a similar problem, but most did not. Anyway, after getting everything working together, I can confirm that the vacuum works quite well. We have travertine and carpet, and the vacuum could go from one to the other without any problems. I think I was getting about 90 mins or so on the charge. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be more than that, but it's definitely adequate for our use. Sound/noise level was acceptable as was what was required for basic cleaning/upkeep. I don't have any experience with the closest competitor, but I'm pretty happy with this vacuum. Only downside, as mentioned above, was the initial connection to the app. I would recommend it, but with the stipulation that Samsung works harder on the app.

Nice for BT and wired connections

The great thing about these headphones is the ability to work on BT or via a wired connection (when the battery is low/dead or in areas where BT is not allowed or the connection is poor). I was not able to test the NFC capability b/c I paired it with my iPhone but suffice it to say that the pairing process was pain free. It just works. The ear cups are very comfortable and should give pain free ears for hours. The hi res audio feature only works over a wired connection. I'm not enough of an audiophile to be able to tell the difference though. These are sound isolating headphones, not noise cancelling, so any comparisons to ANC headphones would be unfair.

Nice project for kids with an excellent speaker

So when we took delivery of this, I gave the box to my 10 year old and told him to build it on his own. I was around in case he had questions or ran into any problems, but I wanted him to do it by himself. From the loading of the app to the actual building of the speaker, the instructions were clear, concise and easy for him to follow. The only snafu we ran into was getting his iDevice paired to the speaker using the "touch" method. But, after we jumped that hurdle, everything was easy and straightforward from there on out. The final product is a, typical for Bose, great sounding speaker. The whole process took him less than 30 minutes. A couple of notes - after building the speaker, I don't think the app is necessary any longer. If the app stays connected to the speaker, the volume level on the speaker doesn't get very high when controlled from the iDevice's volume buttons. One has to go into the app to get the volume to go higher. Also, all the lights on the speaker can be controlled by physical buttons on the speaker itself, so it's really not necessary to keep the app connected. In fact, we disconnected the app from the speaker and then deleted the app so that the speaker behaves just like any other bluetooth speaker. The only other thing I wish about this speaker is that it was battery-powered. That would make it much more portable.

Nice BT keyboard, wish it wasn't so heavy

This is a nice keyboard that pairs (via BT) well with the Surface. The keys have good register, are back lit and are just generally a pleasure on which to type. However, this keyboard is quite heavy. I'm guessing it doubles the weight of the Surface. I wonder if something could have been done to bring the weight down of the final product? Regardless, I do think the weight helps with the stability of the laptop form and would also help to prevent tipping. The hinges are first class.

The thing about electric shavers is that your beard needs at least a month to adjust to the new cutting method to see real results. So, it's generally a good idea to give yourself that amount of time before deciding whether a shaver is good or bad. Luckily I use an electric shaver from time to time already, so my beard didn't need said adjustment time. This Panasonic can be used either wet or dry and can be used either with gel/foam or your shaving medium of choice, or with nothing at all. I've tried it dry, in the shower and with a gel with similar results. So, I think whatever works best with your workflow should suffice. I've found that the shaver gives a generally close shave, is not too loud and works well on difficult places (the curve of the chin, under the nose but over the lips, etc. I wouldn't hesitate buying this shaver if you're on a budget.

Truly extends wifi in my single story house

So I've been using this for about 4 days now and have to say that it delivers in terms of extending one's wifi coverage. Setup was a little sticky as others have pointed out, but once those hurdles were jumped, we were able to tell a noticeable difference in the speed of our wifi in the middle to far ends of our house (in relation to where our router is placed). I don't have any way to objectively measure this but we all feel that the wifi speed has improved dramatically with the addtion of this range extender. I would recommend this without hesitation.

Surprisingly nice, ultraportable speaker

I didn't have high hopes for this when I first saw it and opened the package, but I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and volume it can reach. The instructions for pairing, volume and track control are really straightforward and purposefully simplified given the size and space constraints for physical buttons. I haven't tried actually clipping it to my clothing yet, but I imagine it could easily be used on walks, bike rides or just hanging out when you want something louder than your device's speakers but don't want to wear headphones.

Outstanding vacuum for a cordless

I have another Dyson, one of the big ball ones and this cordless vacuum actually compares very well to the big one. Granted, we don't have pets, so we're not dealing with pet hair issues. But, regardless, this cordless Dyson can *almost* give the big Dyson a run for it's money. The only thing that limits it is the 40 minute or so run time. The ability to convert it to a handheld (like a "dust buster") is an added benefit that I don't think people appreciate enough. The easy bin emptying procedure is also a plus in my opinion. If you're in a smaller house or apartment, then this may be the only vacuum you need. If your setup is larger, then this would be the ideal secondary vacuum/"dust buster," although it is quite expensive.

Doesn't compare to an iPad Pro 9.7

If deciding between the S3 and an iPad Pro, here are some things to keep in mind: Samsung has an AMOLED screen, Apple has LED. But Apple has an anti-glare coating and color adjustment abilities. The Apple has better and longer battery life. The Samsung includes the S Pen stylus, Apple does not (Apple Pencil is $99 separate purchase). The Samsung camera is not as good as Apple's. Samsung Flow software is confusing, Apple Continuity is not. The fingerprint sensor does not work as well as Touch ID on Apple. The keyboard (extra $130) feels smaller and more cramped than Apple's Smart Keyboard (also a separate purchase). If you have a Galaxy phone, then this tablet will be a good companion. If you don't, then I'm not sure.

Non-starter for me unfortunately

These sport bluetooth headphones deliver in the sound department, but the design and operation is cumbersome and awkward, making these difficult for me to recommend over other, better options.
I wear glasses and that makes putting these on more difficult than it already is if you don't wear glasses. Having to wrap the thick, large diameter "loops" around your ears is awkward and I feel like I never really get a nice, secure fit. The band that lays around the nape of your neck also feels a bit strange and having to "close the loop" behind your head to tighten it is also not easy without knocking the ear buds and around ear loop out of proper position.
Power/volume/track controls are also suboptimal in that you have to push hard enough for the push to register and the only real way to do that is to use your external ear (your auricle) as leverage to be able to push down hard enough on the buttons. Again, awkward.
But, if you can get past all these initial difficulties of putting them on, adjusting them and using the controls, you will definitely get rewarded by excellent sound and bass. However, these initial difficulties have to be dealt with each time you put them on and every time you want to control what you're listening to. So, these headphones are a non-starter for me.

I had originally bought the 4K model since it was on sale but it just ran slow since it had the regular hard drive. I went home set it up and was eh ok with it. I then saw the 5K with fusion drive on sale for about $600 more... I basically packed the 4K model up and immediately returned it and got this one! This machine is so awesome! It is my first iMac purchase and I don't regret it at all! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE!

Speed difference between 4K hdd and 5K Fusion?

Just wondering if you'd comment on the speed difference between the 4K you initially bought and the 5K Fusion you replaced it with? The Fusion only has a 24GB SSD tied to the 1TB hard drive, so I'm wondering how the smallish SSD works in terms of speed. Thanks.
