An Impressive Video Camera!!

The New Hero 9 from GoPro is an impressive all around portable camera and video recorder. It's kinda crazy to me how far GoPro has come in a few short years with really making these little gadgets a true powerhouse for capturing any outdoor activity. I upgraded from a Go Pro 5 so this is a sizeable jump for me. The amount of features they've added since then are astounding. I broke mine in by taking it with me to Universal recently and it worked beautifully. I really love the front facing camera preview, Go Pro finally delivered on that! The touch screen works as expected and the bigger rear screen allows them to fit a lot of options on the interface. A. new feature I love is the Hindsight feature, which allows the GoPro to kind of continuously be on standby to record at anytime. So no longer will you be like Awww man I missed that, I wish I was recording. if Hindsight is enabled you hit a button and it automatically records either the last 15 or 30 seconds that the Go Pro captured. It's a REALLY cool feature and whoever thought of that should get a raise lol. The stabilization of the video recording is very impressive imo. I do a lot of videos for real estate and may start using this as al alternative to recording with a DJI osmo. Time-lapses that can be tweaked are especially impressive! The GoPro really has a multitude of video recording options at its fingertips.
I love that they got rid of the cumbersome packaging and actually provided a nice carrying case with the unit. Welcome additions like a built in mount on the camera add to the already sleek design. The initial setup and firmware update was a breeze. The app works great with the Go Pro and allows you to make home videos and piece them together in seconds. Transferring to computers and your mobile devices is seamless as well. They also developed life streaming and webcam modes as well if you're into vlogging. They have media mods as well that add lights and other features and all for a very reasonable price! I really feel like Go Pro has kind of hit their full stride with the Go Pro Hero 9 and I would recommend it to anyone who has an older GoPro and is looking to upgrade or someone who doesn't have one at all! It's an amazing little gadget at a very reasonable price!

Great Entry Level Roomba!

This is the 3rd Roomba I've owned and is a great entry level Roomba! The Roomba looks like a giant Echo Dot and is super cute, we have named it Greyford. Setup was easy and took less then a few minutes with your iphone. After initially charging I took it for a spin and noticed that the room detection of Roombas has gotten significantly better. I think having a cylinder base allows the roomba to not get stuck in certain areas like under chairs or in tight spots. The longer white brush on the front kicks out dirt and puts it in the path of the Roomba. The one thing I do think the Roomba is lacking compared to other models is the map feature. I have the s9+ and it has a feature that allows you to map the whole home and choose where you want the Roomba to clean. Obviously the price difference between the two means that there are going to be a few less features and I'm ok with that. The cool thing is that the Roomba is compatible with the s9+ base I have to empty the bin. It also can team up with the Braava Jet m6 to have a complete cleaning package. The Roomba does a great job of vacuuming! The i3 lets you know when the bin is full and does a great job of picking up debris and dust. I highly recommend this roomba if you want an entry level Wifi Connected Roomba. This is a great machine and I'm happy to have it in the family!

I’ve always wanted to have a coffee machine like this in my home. I love coffee shop drinks, but have been intimidated by trying to learn how to make espresso and caps at my home. Enter the Barista Pro! This machine is sleek, it’s a conversation piece in any kitchen for sure. It’s well built and easy to setup and just looks good on your counter. The instructions given from Breville were easy to understand and gave a step by step breakdown of everything you needed to do to prep the machine for first use. What I can appreciate about the Barista Pro is that it doesn’t just give you a K Cup instant coffee drink, you really have to learn how to make coffee like they do at your local shop. You have to fine tune the adjustments on the grind, the pour time and how the shot is infused temperature wise, and the instructions are clear on the extraction process and what you should really be looking for. But it’s a lot of fun sitting there trying to kind of fun tune your skills. Even as I write this review I don’t think I’ve totally gotten the process completely down yet, but that doesn’t bother me, because I think anyone buying this machine either knows what they’re doing or wants to learn. The milk steamer works great and it’s quite a lot of fun to try and get the right mixture down to make that perfect cap. I am thrilled with this Unit and look forward to having it in my kitchen for years to come.

Puts Racing Games into Overdrive!

I am a longtime gamer and have enjoyed racing games since the PS ridge racer days, progressing into Gran Turismo and DIRT as I got older. I've had racing wheels in the past and they've all under delivered on the true feel of driving in a sports car. Enter the Logitech G923 and I think we finally have a true winner! The G923 is a powerhouse of a racing wheel with only one real shortcoming, the length of the USB cord. The G923 was easy to setup and can be bolted down onto a table or desk. Unfortunately the cord usb that is attached to the wheel is only about 6 feet long. So I actually had to move a table over right in front of my tv in order to make it work with my ps4. It reminds me of the Nintendo emulator cord that was woefully too short upon its release. You can easily get a USB extender cable, but they should have made a retractable USB that extended to 15 feet so it could be enjoyed from my couch and coffee table. I do believe that they had the PC/DESK combo in mind when designing the cord. Nonetheless, once installed the Wheel is amazing. Its super responsive and takes little to no time at all to really get the feel for it. F1 2018 was a nice warm up, brakes are responsive and feel firm. The wheels shakes appropriately on varying terrain and even wobbles at higher speeds. After a few laps I was smoking the competition. Enter Gran Turismo which utilizes the Trueforce system and the wheel gets even better. You can feel the rumble of the engine, and every little nook and cranny and feel of the car, it's truly amazing. Unfortunately the amount of games at launch that can utilize this feature is limited. But hopefully as times go on more games will take advantage of the Trueforce tech. I do hope that this wheel translates to the PS5 upon release, because I do plan to buy that this fall. The fact that the wheel works on a PC too is a busy as I have Xbox Game Pass and can utilize Forza Horizon that way as well. The versatility to go back and forth and even customize more fully on the pc app really makes this wheel shine. I will hopefully enjoy this wheel for years to come and wholeheartedly recommend it.

Cool door Sensors that pair with your camera!

I recently upgraded my ecobee system to include the home camera, door sensors, and smart sensors. The door sensors have been a nice touch lately because I can see when my wife gets home from work and it sends me a notification when I’m still at work and it’s almost like I’m walking in the door being greeted by the pups The door sensors pair with your camera to immediately detect when the doors open and occupancy in the room. The notifications come straight to my phone and are a lot of fun to watch sometimes including random videos from my dogs. Pairing this with the ecobee haven system allows alarm monitoring of my home at a fraction of the cost. The door sensors and window sensors pack were sufficient enough to cover my front and side door and 2 main windows downstairs that I’m worried about unwanted entry. The batteries of the sensors supposedly last 3 years and were super easy to install. All in all so far I am happy with the door and window sensors and I’m impressed by the ability to add family members to the auto detection in the camera. Being able to disarm the alarm with facial recognition is super cool! I highly recommend this Ecobee system to anyone looking to integrate your home ac controls and alarm systems all into one!

Good sensors for the right AC unit

I was excited to try out the new smart sensors for Ecobee. I already own the normal room sensors so I wanted to see the true difference between the two. With that said the new smart sensors do have some more robust features then the older model but not anything I consider to be substantially better. They can tell if a room is occupied and communicate that to the ecobee to let it know which room you occupy the most. The sensors now have the ability to be mounted to the wall. Setup was relatively simple and easy and intuitive and I have had the sensors placed for about a week now and haven’t noticed any substantial difference in my upstairs room temperature. Which brings me to the main fault I have with these sensors. The current sensor does a good job of communicating with the thermometer but because my system is not a dual zone the ac upstairs has no real ability to change the temperature to that room. So I feel like these room sensors are really tailor made for a dual ac system that can independently control the upstairs and downstairs temperature. I feel the sensors are a good investment if you have a really dual ac unit. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother with buying them.

Good quality home camera!

I already had an ecobee thermometer so it made sense to try the smart camera to see how it would pair within the system. The Ecobee Smart camera is a high quality 1080p indoor camera that has good quality microphone support and face recognition and motion detection. You are able to pan and zoom around with the camera which is something i was not able to do with my previous Arlo system. Ecobee system is Alexa friendly and I like that my thermometer and camera system are all working within one app. The facial detection on the camera works well and allows you to add family members that come and go so it can alert you when your family member walks in the door. I find that particularly handy and hope they could add a pet feature in the future. The camera also works well the ecobee haven system and allows the camera to act as a security monitoring system just like a ring. With the door sensors and camera you have a complete state of the art security system at your fingertips. The camera can also detect when you come and go and will auto define settings to your liking. Despite some initial setup hiccups (make sure the spelling on your WiFi is case sensitive for both fields) I really ended up truly enjoyed this product and would recommend it to my friends and family!

Amazing Piece of Machinery.

The Surface Book 3 is a very impressive piece of machinery. I have been a Mac guy for the past 10 years but the Surface Book 3 has changed the game for me and made me realize that I still have a love for the Windows OS. For the longest time I haven’t understood why Apple couldn’t make a Tablet/Laptop that has a touchscreen and laptop functionality. Microsoft has basically solved that and then some with this computer. I was sent the Surface Book 3 to evaluate because I am a reviewer in an invitation-only program and am provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews, but that definitely has zero effect on how much I love this computer! I am a professional photographer so I was very interested in having a portable editable laptop with the functionality of a touchscreen tablet.
Initial setup and presentation of the SB3 was very good. It took only a few minutes to get everything up and operational. Windows 10 is very user friendly and easy to navigate. This particular model is an i7 with a 256 gb SSD, 16GB of Ram, and a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB GPU which for any normal computer is an absolute beast let alone a portable laptop/tablet. The unit is robust and sleek, keyboard is responsive and had a good feel to it and touchpad works as expected.
Performance wise the two things that I noticed right away that are different from my MacBook Pro is that the SB3 runs virtually silent and very very cool. If I do anything labor intensive on my MacBook it sounds like a jet engine is taking off. My main editing programs for photos are Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. I usually tend to push my machines to the limits by exporting photos and editing at the same time and the SB3 handles everything beautifully. What made it even more impressive is while doing all these labor intensive tasks I can DETACH the unit from the keyboard and take it with me to the couch. I went ahead and purchased the Surface Pen to use for editing and I have to say it is an amazing companion to the tablet feature of the SB3. It detects when your pen hovers above the screen and allows you to really edit photos down to a very fine degree. For photoshop its particularly helpful to make tight selections or edit out flyways or other imperfections. While using the pen it almost feels like I’m painting which has become a more a nice change for me with editing. I have found myself for the last week grabbing my SB3 to do nightly editing while sitting with the family in the living room and its really allowed me a degree of flexibility I didn’t have before with my work. The 15 inch screen is bright and crisp, text is easy to read even in dark situations. The battery life is exceptional as well. Even little things like an SD card reader, extra USB ports and a USB C port and REALLY good speakers.
It really astounds me how good the Surface Book 3 is. Microsoft has managed to make a laptop that doubles as a tablet thats better than an iPad Pro with full computer functionality. I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a hybrid powerhouse of a laptop.

We Had Issues with the CO2 Catridges

I really wanted to be impressed with this product. Me and my wife are avid wine drinkers and the Coravin Model Five seemed like a great opportunity to be able to drink some of our favorite wines on our own time without wasting. I'll first start off by saying the product does work. It does what it's supposed to do in being able to penetrate the cork and deliver the wine without uncorking. The problem seems to be with their C02 Cartridges. We did exactly what the instructions told us to do. Each time we installed cartridges it worked great the first time and was completely empty the 2nd time we went to use it. Something is causing the cartridges to slow leak until they're empty. I tried to call customer service but they were unable to help me resolve this problem. With that being said I'm not going to waste a bunch of money on C02 cartridges just to have them empty themselves on a regular basis. I wish I could love this product but I'm just not impressed at the moment. Maybe they will work out the kinks in the future but until then I'll stick to the normal method of uncorking my wine.

Great Air Filtration for our Bedroom

I have never had an air filtration unit in my bedroom before but man am I glad I started with the Molekule Air Mini. Setup took probably less than 30 seconds. Instructions were clear and concise. Packaging was very minimalistic. We have been using the Molekule for about 2 weeks now and I can honestly say that I think it is making a huge difference in the quality of air we breathe in when we sleep. I used to wakeup with a lot of mucus and boogers in my nose every morning and now my nose is clear and I feel well rested. We change our air filters in our home on a regular basis but have 2 dogs, so I guess the amount of particles in the air from the 4 of us needed to be filtered more. I have found that keeping this unit on the 2 setting is the best for overall use and noise. Setting 5 sounds like a jet engine. I am going to add more units around the home because I am a big believer that this product is working. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to a friend or family member.

By now everyone knows about the commuter and defender otterbox series. The otterbox has recently gotten sleeker, shedding alot of the extra bulk from previous generations, so I decided to go with this model for my Iphone 6. It fits the phone nicely, the only gripe I have with the case is there is a little bit of wiggle room at the top kind of like a gap between the hard and soft plastic. I'm not sure if this is true to all the commuters, I may go back tomorrow and try and find another commuter that might fit better.

Opted for the Symmetry

After having this case for almost a week now and the gap between the plastic not going away I decided to go check out the symmetry series. Although it doesn't have the screen protector, and the hole for the Apple logo on the back, I actually feel like the symmetry is sturdier and sleeker than the commuter.
On a side note I spoke with Otterbox about the commuter to see if maybe the case wasn't supposed to have the gap and it was a manufacturing issue. She said they had more than a few reports about it, and that they are looking into whether or not they need to make a change or whether it was a certain supplier that had the error. She told me to hold onto my case and check back in a few months and that if they made any adjustments they would gladly replace it for free. So worst case scenario you buy the case, it has a slight droop in it for a few months while you wait for Otterbox to perfect the case and then you call in and get a replacement for free because they already know about the issue.

Yes it can support up to 5. But with 3 you can cover a 6000sq ft house. So unless you live in a huge house you don't really need more than 3.
