Toss this waterproof LifeProof AQUAPHONICS speaker in the pool and watch it float. The crisp audio doesn't stop for snow, dirt or ice, and this Bluetooth-enabled speaker can withstand a drop from 1.2m. The battery of this LifeProof AQUAPHONICS speaker keeps going for 15 hours, and it charges your phone while it's playing.

Great: Look and Special Features but lacks Bass
on June 24, 2017
Posted by: Mark
from LA
This bluetooth speaker is the size of a loaf of bread, that being said it will probably take up a lot of space in your gym bag or backpack.
In the bottom of the speaker is a "dry box" its large enough to put my Samsung Galaxy S7 but didn't fit my friends Iphone 7 Plus so that should give you an idea of how big it is. Aquaphonics states water won't go in if you lock it. I haven't tried it but you can be the judge, at your own risk. You can also charge your phone inside the dry box which is a cool feature. You would just need your usb charger cable. The right side of the speaker has the option to lock the dry box, it looks similar to a switch, once you lock it the water resistant option is activated.
Now to the bad things about the speaker:
To start, it's not loud enough for the size of the speaker. It's loud enough indoors, for example, i could still carry a conversation with my friend, we just had to raise our voices and the speaker was in the middle of us, but i think outdoors would be a different story. I will try it outdoors soon.
Another(and major part) would be the lack of bass. It doesn't have any bass at all. It's flat and it kind of takes away from the songs themselves. I did not like that and for that i am taking away 2 stars. You would think for the price of this speaker it would pack more punch but it doesn't, big disappointment.
I think it's a nice rugged looking speaker, but can't get over the bass part and for that i would not recommend this speaker.

The Way of The Future in Vacuum
on June 12, 2017
Posted by: Mark
My little niece calls this vacuum her "pet" because it follows her around sometimes and it's small like a pet. I recently moved furniture around the house, after moving, you can imagine the mess i had on the floors. I was also running late for a gathering. You can imagine how convenient this Powerbot R7070 is! I turned it on while getting ready to leave for the gathering, by the time i got back the whole house was clean and the powerbot was charging.
That's the powerbot R7070 Vacuum in a nutshell. It make your house chores list shrink in size.
The vacuum detects when it cleaning hardwood floors or carpet. You can tell by the vacuum speeds (or sound) when it switches gears.
I have to say that this vacuum is not too quiet. You can still have conversations around the house while the vacuum is working in the background. It didn't bother me much, but my friend said it was kind of loud. You be the judge.
The set up was really easy, just follow the first few pages of the instruction manual and you are all set (make sure you leave it charge when you first open the box too.)
I like that when the battery is low. The vacuum automatically stops and goes to its charging station, once charged 2/3 of the way, it will stop charging and continue where it left off.
It's small enough to go under furniture and it's smart enough to move around edges on it's own.
The disposing of the dirt inside the vacuum is really easy too! Just press the center button and the chamber(where the dust/dirt is stored) just pops out. I have a cat so i had to stick my finger through the tube just to make sure it was completely cleared.
I really like this powerbot vacuum cleaner. It eliminates a lot of cleaning for me. It works so well that my mother (not tech savy person) would like one for herself. I would recommend to anyone.

It's the Real Deal Headphones!
on May 24, 2017
Posted by: Mark
I've owned many pairs of headphones, and these headphones stand out from the rest. At fist glance i had my doubts seeing as these headphones are a lot smaller then other headphones in the same price range.
I also want to point out how stylish these headphones are, they look sturdy and have a unique design that makes them stands out. They are comfortable enough to use for long periods as well.
I used these headphones for 4 hours, listening to different genres of music from Rap(Desiigner), Rock (Cage the Elephant) to classical (Johannes Brahms) and they adapted well to the high and lows of every genre. The bass or lows did not overpowered the vocals when i would put on music with a lot of lows. I even let my brother try them out (he owns a lot of pairs of headphones too) and he thought they were good headphones as well.
Now to the cons: Once again i thought these headphones were kind of small, there is no space between your hair and the headphones, so if you just styled your hair, you'll eventually have a flat spot on top of your head. I also think the price for these headphones are kind of high, but that's my personal opinion.
I also want to point out that these headphones are not noise cancellation, or have Bluetooth capabilities.
The packaging looks really great, it also comes with a lot of accessories (2 aux cables, 1 aux case, and 1 carrying case). I really like these headphones, and i know i will be using them very often. I would recommend! They might not have a big name like the other brands, but these headphones are right up there when it comes to sound quality.

Great DIY and Learning Project for Kids!
on May 24, 2017
Posted by: Mark
I have two boys (kindergarten and a 3rd grade). I thought that this would be a good fun project for them to figure out together. They unboxed it and were excited with the project, especially with the fact that they would need to figure out how to use it by following the instructions in the iPhone/iPad app on their own. These two boys are very comfortable with Legos. Even the Kindergartener loves to be left alone to his own devices for hours on end. I thought why not, it’s a good team building experience for them both.
They opened the box. It’s beautiful inside! The instruction manual was clearly labeled “Start Here.” I helped with steps 1, 2, and 3 . 1) Plug in circuit board to power. 2) Connect iPhone/iPad to Bluetooth signal. 3) Download the BOSEbuild app from the App Store. I left the room and left the rest up to them.
I was delighted to hear them working together to figure it out. I was worried that this project would lead to a fight about not sharing. Fortunately it was nothing but excitement… “Ooohs, Aaaahs, and COOOOL!!”
As I didn’t watch them the whole time, from my understanding they started off by learning the mechanics of how magnets and electromagnets work together to produce sound. They used some simple parts to do this and first built a paper version of the speaker. They were both truly engaged.
They then went on to building the speaker using the instructions from the iPhone/iPad app. The build was a success. Total build time from unboxing to finish was about 2 hours. They were very proud of their accomplishment.
What’s even more good news is that the speaker itself is actually the good quality that you would expect to come from Bose. At a $149 price point, it’s obviously not going to be a $500 speaker quality. But for this price point, you get a fun project and a pretty decent sounding speaker. It even lights up with LED’s throughout, moving through about 5 different colors.
The default sound favors more lows than highs. I played music via Spotify and found that I could adjust the sound using Spotify's equalizer. From here I was able to get a sound that sounded nice and clear and natural.
I expect that we’ll get good use of this speaker for the kids. My guess it’s great for 2nd – 3rd graders on their own. Any younger would probably need mom and dad’s (or older brother/sister’s help). I could see this being a fun project for a teenager too. At the end of the project you end up with a pretty decent speaker.

Good Looking BT Speaker but Lacks Sound
on May 18, 2017
Posted by: Mark
I will give it 5 stars for appearance and presentation. The packaging is great, it feels like you are opening a sports tech toy. It has a very sporty feel to the packaging and speaker. It's water proof for up to 1 meter for 30 mins, and floats on water, how cool is that?
I like that you can charge your cell phone too! Its larger then most BT speakers in the same price range. It has up to 13 hrs of battery life, and it even has a dry box in the bottom of the speaker if you want to put your belongings inside. It also has basic Bluetooth phone settings (built in mic for out going/incoming calls)
Now why i gave it 3 stars instead of 5, is due to the sound quality. This BT speaker lacks bass. It has a lot of treble. I used to have a JPL Flip 3 (gave it away because i got this speaker), it had bass and treble, it made any genre of music sound great. I could tell the difference when comparing the 2 speakers, the Flip 3 is $60 dollars, and AQ10 is $200.
Also the dry box is too small to fit any current cell phones. May be it will fit for smaller cell phones, like an iphone 4s or just put your ID or debit cards inside. I have a Samsung S7 and it doesn't fit. I was disappointed. Another reason why i took off a star was due to not being loud enough. You think for the size of the BT speaker it would be loud, but its not. Its as loud as my old JPL Flip 3! It doesn't have a holder either so you can hang it somewhere.
I wanted to like AQ10, but i feel like they focused too much on presentation and design, instead of the sound of the speaker and for the price? It's not worth it in my opinion. If it was lets say $100 to $130 then it would be good option, not worth $200. I would recommend looking for other BT Speaker options.

Compact Trimmer for the Person on the Go
on May 7, 2017
Posted by: Mark
This precision trimmer feels well built, its simple nothing special just like a grooming tool should be. The quick adjust dial is very convenient because it eliminates the hassle of changing comb attachments. It goes from 1 mm to 10 mm for those who want to do detailing. It also has the option to remove the comb attachment if you want to just trim freestyle.
The packaging looks great. It makes the trimmer look more expensive then the price tag suggest. It doesn't come with a cord but you can connect it directly to the power adapter. I hanged the trimmer upside down on a wall outlet when charging, it didn't even fall, left it all night charging.
I like this trimmer because its simple and has a lot of trimming sizes. It's not too expensive and it looks well built. This trimmer would be a good one to have for any grooming kit or for travel. It doesn't take up a lot space and its water proof!!

Simple Router w/ Fast Speed Web Surfing
on May 2, 2017
Posted by: Mark
Very simple router with extender, and its distance is 15,000 sq ft. I like that there are a lot gigabit ports behind the router and 1 network port behind the extender. It also has a USB input in the back of the router for storage. I'm planning on using my external hard drive which is full of music and movies so i can access it from any device within my network.
I was using the Linksys - Velop Tri-Band Whole Home Wi-Fi System (3-pack), but this router only needs 2 and they cover the same distance which is pretty cool.
I did 3 speed test, i did it at night when the amount of users using the router is low ( i have a lot of room mates) and the average download speed is 117.29 mbps, keep in mind i only have the 100 mbps plan! Upload speed is 11.90 mbps.
One thing I don't like, is the set up, i have to download the Amped Wireless Ally App, simple instructions to follow, but it kept giving me error messages when finding the modem. i had to close the app a couple of times in order to work correctly.
I also like the users monitoring feature w/ the app. It tells me when was the last time the users were logged into my wifi network.
I don't have kids, so i can't say a lot about the blocked websites feature, but i could see it work for the teenagers in the family.
I like this router, its not flashy or has a lot of lights(it even has a button in the back if you want to turn off the lights in the front), but i could tell it was good based on the speed tests and web surfing. I put one star down because of the price and because the router and extender get kind of hot (make sure to put it some where where it can have ventilation).
If they lower the price from, lets say 50 to 80 dollars less this would be a great addition for any home without breaking the wallet.

Cool Little Speaker for The Active
on April 19, 2017
Posted by: Mark
It's really small, like smaller then your cellphone. It's bright blue and the inside is bright orange too. When i turned on the speaker and synced up to my cellphone i was surprise by how loud the small speaker is. I played anything from Rock to Rap, and it didn't sound to muffled.
I like the clip on feature because now it becomes mobile like myself. I like to go jogging at least 4-5 a week, and i sometimes like to unplug the earbuds and play through my cell speakers. Now i can clip this speaker on and go on my regular routes around the park without worrying about draining the sound. I just clip it around my T-shirt collar and i'll have the music next to my ear..
I can see my brother using this when he goes under the house (he is an electrician) or my mother as well. The usb cover looks like it has a tight grip, so you dont have to worry about your usb getting dirty. I can easily hide this in my gym bag when not in use. I'll be using this speaker more often in my workouts.

Fast, Sleek, and Compact
on April 10, 2017
Posted by: Mark
I have owned a macbook, gateway laptop, and a surface 2 tablet. I've also owned an ipad. This laptop is small enough to give you the tablet feel and fast enough to do laptop jobs.
At first impression, it looks well built, the keyboard keys light up, and its not too heavy. The set up wasn't too hard, but i did not get my full 256 GB's to use. I got 238 GB and with the apps it took up roughly 34 gbs. Eventually, i only had 203 gb to use. I did not like it. I did buy a 200 gb micro sd card to help me, which i recommend to do too.
The USB is a type C USB!!, so it will not work for regular 2.0 or 3.0 UBS!! You'll need a USB type C connection for it, this computer comes with it already.
I transferred 90 GBs of music from my USB. it took 1-2 hrs to transfer. Later the computer starting acting up, it was on loading mode for almost an 1hr. I had to restart it again. I later transferred the music to my 200 Gb micro sd card, and once again the computer froze for 30 mins. I had to restart it again. "Please wait while we prepared to turn off your computer."
Another issue is the trackpad. It isn't too responsive, i have to use the top left of the trackpad to make sure i see the arrow. It gets kind of annoying, so if you have a Bluetooth mouse even better.
Overall, this is a nice laptop, and its not heavy, and looks nice. It's perfect for school. I will definitely use it for college. The battery life isn't too great. I did notice the laptop battery gets really hot if you are using a lot, for example when i was transferring files.
I like the 16 GBs of ram, i could tell when transferring files with that said, i don't think this laptop/tablet isn't worth +$1,399 dollars. If it was around $1,000 for this computer then it would be a good price.
I do think is nice, but for the price i rather get an apple computer, just think its too expensive. If you want something small with a tablet /laptop feel then this is a good option also if you have money to spend. I personally wouldn't purchase this computer unless it was on sale just my personal opinion, but i will leave 4 stars because it feels like it can handle multitasking and long periods of use. It feels like a well built laptop and tablet that's why i put 4 starts, but i'll take away one because of the trackpad issues and the loading freezes.

This is exactly what i was looking for!!!
on March 26, 2017
Posted by: Mark
First and foremost, I'm a student. I also live in a loud neighborhood, where dogs bark loud, cars pass by, and under a airplane flight pathway.
With that said, this is exactly what i was looking for, i wanted some headphones that i can use while studying. i study at home, and my next door dogs drive me crazy, these helps eliminate the barking sound, so i can focus only on homework. Play some classical while studying, they are perfect!
I also wanted some cordless headphones because i also record music in my place. i had some Sony cord over the headphones and i had to stay close to the mixer, it sucked. With these i don't have to worry about it now, i used a audio midi interface to make sure there is no delay, and nope, no delay. Really happy with these headphones.
They look study and feel great while wearing them, i've used them for a couple of hours and i didn't hurt, still felt comfortable.
I bluetooth paired with my samsung S7, Surface 2 tablet, and my Mid 2010s Imac.
For some reason it wouldn't paired with my 2015 Sony 4K tv. It didn't even picked it up, but its okay, i wouldn't want to use it on it anyway.
I am really happy with these headphones. I will start college soon, and i am planning to use these very often. You can download the app, but they don't have a lot of control options on it. They're are some preset equalizer options, but i don't recommend them. You don't have to download the app to get the headphones working, its optional.
The noise cancellation is good not great. I can still hear noise but it sounds distanced. My friends had a conversation in front and i had trouble hearing what they were saying only until i started paying closer attention i could tell what they were saying. The set up is easy, they look and fell study. I would recommend to anyone!!!!
These headphones is EXACTLY what i was looking for, headphones to help me with those long studying sessions, or those long recording sessions at home. :D

Great TV but 60 Mhz? Really?
By Mark
I originally bought an M-Series 55 Inch 4K Vizio TV. I had to return it because of the obvious lag when i play my Xbox and the lack of smart apps. I read the reviews on this TV and i thought i would go with a known brand like Samsung. My previous TV was a Samsung 50 Inch Projection TV and i had it for like 7+ years and it still looked great. I wanted to upgrade.
My first impression was the nice picture, very solid colors and sharpness. I like the smart TV Apps and web browsing capabilities when i play my Xbox one it looks great! no lag and colors are nice. I haven't seen 4K content on it so i can't offer an opinion on 4k stuff.
Now to the bad stuff. There is backlighting on the lower right, top left, and middle left of the screen. You can't notice right away until you start watching movies in a dark room. You can't tell if its in full screen, the back lighting does get annoying from time to time.
I think one of the major drawbacks of this TV would be the 60mhz, it's say trumotion 120 but that is just mumbo jumbo for 60mhz you'll think with SUHD you'll have a 120 mhz but nope that's one of the major things i could say bad about this TV. My 15 days were up so i could not return this TV, if i could i think i would of spend +$150 for a Sony, but overall it's a nice tv.
I notice a lot of TV's within the dollar range have some kind of an issue with back lighting.

Returning TV
December 14, 2015
Thank you for your reply about the 15 day return policy. I ph'd Best Buy and they confirmed that any purchases made between late Nov and Dec are eligible for returns all the way to Jan 15, so as a result i will be returning this TV because of the Refresh rate (currently 60mhz/ Trumotion is not 120) and backlighting light bleed) and paying a +$100 more for a Sony XBR55X810C 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV (2015 Model) which has a 120 Mhz and has slightly better ratings.

Great for the Active Person on the Go
By Mark from LA
These headphones are very comfortable, i used them for a 4 mile jog on my treadmill and a 4 mile jog at my local park. They didn't come off or felt uncomfortable during my workouts.
The cables are thin, and the mic doesn't take up too much space either. These headphones look really discreet, especially with the black color which i like, it looks like i don't have headphones at all.
The wireless feature is nice too. I hate cords. I had to buy an arm sleeve due to headphone cords to have easier access to my ipod, but w/ these i don't need one, i just keep my cell in my pocked and jog, it doesn't eve effect the sound quality either!
I sweat a lot, some people say more then the average person. I also like to stay active by working out 5 days a week. These headphone have been great for my daily jogs. They are "splash resistant" too. You can tell by how the mic is covered and the earbuds which is another plus.
The only thing i would knock off these headphones is the sound quality. These headphones can get very loud, when it's loud the highs and lows don't sound too well that's why i am taking off 1 star.
These headphones are just loud which is fine because when you are working out you don't pay attention to the highs and lows, you just want good loud music coming out of your headphones which these headphones do.
So far, i like this product. They do what they suppose to do, and they are loud. They also look durable. I would recommend these headphones to anyone who likes to workout. I have a feeling these headphones will be my go to gear for workouts. I hope they last a couple of years with me.

These headphones are no good
July 7, 2017
This is a follow up on my previous review. I finally tried them while jogging. I was only 1 block into my jogging and they stopped working. It kept syncing out. The headphones said ," i was out of range" which i wasn't. I had an arm band and the headphones were on my head! I couldn't get them to work after that. I tried turning them off and on, then later syncing up, but it still did not work. What a waste. These headphones were a good idea but i can't even use for a regular jog. 1 star for that.

Basic Sound and Annoying LED light

I wanted to like this sound bar, based on looks, the reviews it had, and of course the LG brand which is known for having good products. I would think with the 300 Watts capability it would be louder, but it isn't. You really have to mess with the bass (and the sub woofer bass) to get some decent bass for music and cinema.
I have a Sony 4k 55' inch TV (2015 Model). I didn't use the HDMI option to connect, i used the optical cable. I later change the settings on my TV to "sound system" - My TV controller controls the volume on the sound bar, but it says on my tv, "volume is fixed" every time i increase volume, so if i go from 10 at volume to 30, the volume is fixed" sign will show up 20x. So i'll have to use the sound bar controller for volume now.
This sound bar can be used for Bluetooth streaming as well. I sync up my cellphone (galaxy s7), it worked well for a couple of songs then it would kick me out. It would do this very often. I later downloaded the "music flow" app from LG (LG manual states it works well with app) thinking it would be the better option for streaming music from my phone to the sound bar and guess what? It did the same thing. Kicked me out after a couple of songs, it was really annoying. I couldn't listen to my playlist without reconnecting every 10 mins. After, it kicks me out it would go back to "optical" mode on the sound bar.
Even after i turn off the sound bar, i would wake up to the "optical" mode still on.
As others reviewers of this product, i would say that the LED light is really annoying. It's always on. I tried to remove it with the "music flow" app under settings but it didn't work.
The sound bar itself is very light, doesn't weight much at all. The sub woofer itself its medium sized, like the size of a shoes box I didn't feel a lot of bass coming from the sub woofer.
It's disappointing that this sound bar sounds so basic but looks very stylish and modern. I just can't get around the Bluetooth disconnecting and the basic sound.
The nice thing is that it came with a sound bar wall mount (i bought one from amazon thinking i would need it).
I wouldn't recommend.

I got an HDMI cable, connected it to the HDMI out behind the Sound Bar, I later connected the HDMI cable to the ARC HDMI option and my TV automatically sync up to the sound bar and sub woofer. I now can control the volume with my TV controller, and the sound bar turns off automatically when i turn off my TV. I disconnected the Optical cable option completely as a result i don't get kicked out when streaming music via bluetooth option, which is great because it was really annoying before. NOT all tv's support HDMI ARC option, luckly my TV is not that old (Sony 4k Bravia 2015 Model) now the sound bar works exactly how its suppose to, although i'm still not happy with the sound quality. I feel with the sub woofer and 300 watts option it should be a lot better, but then again now that i got it to work well i give it 4 stars! I wouldn't use the optical input option as it made it more difficult to sync everything. I just wanted to do a follow up.

How do you have to recharge the R7070? Does it need a special electric outlet? How high can the outlet be. Can you program this without a smart phone?

Hello Marty!

You do not need anything out of the ordinary, just space to put your charging station. In the set up, there is the adapter cable and a charging station included w/ the set up. You just connect the charging cable to the outlet, hook up the charging cable to the charging station, once you do that, you press the red switch at the bottom of the vacuum. Pick up the vacuum, and place it right in front of the charging station until the lights on the vacuum show charging.

In regards to the programming to charge, the vacuum has it automatically included, once the vacuum detects its low on battery, it will automatically go back to its charging station. Once it's charge it will continue vacuuming where it left off. I hope this helps!

For this item, is there any colleage student discount?

there really isn't a discount for this computer, but right now is -$100 off if that helps. You can also get the lower ram option if you don't want to pay the $1,399 price tag.

Does it have a clock?

if you mean does it tell you the time? Then yes it tells the time while on sleep or while using it. I haven't figured out how to change the time from military to regular time.
