This phone is really really nice for daily active life. Plenty of memory when a Micro SD card is installed, No lagging when using the phone and a solid battery life. I previously owned the Alcatel One Touch Pixi Pulsar and transferred my number over to this phone. Unfortunately my remaining data and text messages never made the transfer and only the card I purchased along with the phone got added. This was fixed quickly going to their website and using the chat function. If you own a Fit Bit or other fitness related device, this seamlessly works with it!

I like my music when working out at the gym, but being on a budget for awhile I don't have that much to spend on headphones. For the $3 spent with free shipping, my expectations were set pretty low but these actually have some decent bass sound to it not to mention sounding great without having to turn it up really loud just to hear things.
Cord is very long too for those moments I want to put the phone into my pocket and listen to music on the bus. But I rarely listen to music while walking on the street or sitting on the bus and tend to listen to it more in the gym. It is a little long for my preference as I would have liked the cord a bit shorter but for those people that need it, its good.
The packaging surprised me. Normally with the Dynex in house brand, the headphones are in a cardboard packaging with plastic but they avoided the packaging all together by putting them in small plastic bags. I feel the box they used to ship them in was a bit over the top and too large for the item sent, but better to be safe than sorry I suppose.
A fantastic deal for budget headphones and a must try if you have been dissapointed by budget headphones in the past due to quality, you will be impressed with these.

Great Alternative to the laptop

Being an owner of multiple technology items, I like relaxing at the end of the day after work is over with. I often ask myself, which unit do I surf the net on or play games. As soon as I heard this was available for testing from Tech Insider, I wanted to see how well it stood up to the test
I had un-boxed the product and to my surprise there was a full charge! You get the tablet itself, a pamphlet and a charger with USB Cable. Turning on the unit had an initial setup that took about 10 minutes to go through. You will also see a plastic protective cover that says "Only remove after application setup. If there is feedback about the packaging I have it's the box flaps seem kind of sharp so unbox with caution. (Almost had a cut finger)
After everything was setup, I went through the Google Play Store and setup everything to my liking. I proceeded to download some simple games such as the popular match 3 game with candies we all love, and some slot machines. Also there were some 3D Game apps I downloaded as well.
For the most part, everything ran smoothly I did not notice anything out of the ordinary that would make performance of the device go bonkers. However there is an annoying System Doctor app that constantly lets me know I'm out of memory. And there is no way to uninstall it, instead you have to force stop the app and disable it. If I wanted to have memory managed automatically, I would want to be able to download my own app to do so.
Audio was loud and clear when playing games, had no problem hearing the audio. Video is good too when looking on YouTube. Not the best of quality but better than I've seen on other units. Screen is pretty good too, it's bright, and the 1280x800 resolution is more than enough space.
Memory.. It's 32GB but if you have more memory intense apps that constantly update, consider getting a SD Card to move stuff too. So far I'm really hooked to the unit.

I received this product as a tech insider and I was curious on how it would help me. So I unpacked it from the box and setup the unit in the bedroom as a wireless extension to my EA9500 Router. Instructions were somewhat clear and setup time was approx 20 minutes due to the confusion that was had in the instructions. But once it setup it was a bridge between rooms to extend the signal. I noticed that the Roku connected quicker and loaded my movie instantly and the apartment gets a more reliable signal. I say reliable because there are so many wireless units that the unit picks up throughout this apartment complex and the wireless frequencies can tend to fight with each other.

Great with minimal issues during setup

Being the tech enthusiast I am, I'm always keeping up with the latest technology through websites that report on what is on the floor at CES. Having that said, when I heard about this router and it's Enterprise Grade performance I was wowed by the specs. Even more so, I was thrilled to hear when this product was available for review through the Tech Insider network. So I received the package yesterday and set it up that evening.
The box seemed slightly heavy when taking it out of the Belkin shipping box. I opened the box and I saw the router itself, a CD-ROM, an ethernet cable, a quick start guide, laptop style power brick and some helpful information that I could directly email the LinkSys team if I was having trouble operating the Tech Insider product.
Taking a look at the product, I noticed there were 8 antennas connected to the router with each antenna covered in plastic. Upon looking at the antennas, these don't appear to be removable as in the ones that were included with the EA7500 router that I previously previewed through Tech Insider, they are hard wired into the unit which may pose a problem for some users used to the way the previous router model was setup. No biggie for me as I had slight mobility issues installing the antennas on the previous model, so was happy this was setup like that.
The AC adapter is a huge improvement over the one that was included in the EA 7500 router, it resembles a standard laptop charger with a more commonly used everyday 2 prong cord that fits nicely in all outlets. No more bulky square / rectangle designed AC Adapters that can have a hard time integrating into your surge protector environment.
Once everything was unpacked out of the box, I proceeded to disconnect the EA7500 Router and install the EA9500 Router. Plugging it in showed all these cool lights flashing on top of the unit. After awhile, it stopped flashing and moving the lights and it appeared it was on. I followed the directions out of the box that says to go to 192.168.1.1 to setup the unit. I connect to the router and get to the setup page. For some reason at first when I attempted to set it up, it claimed It had issues recognizing my Comcast internet connection and to reboot the router.
Once I had done this, everything was fine, and device setup continued. I had turned off Guest Access and disabled WPS setup button for obvious reasons. Setup my password, router rebooted and everything was ready to go. Believe it or not, I have lots of devices connected in here including multiple laptops, a wireless printer, multiple tablets and even cell phones connected. All of them work flawlessly without any notice of lag or speed dropouts.
If you are a user of multiple devices like me and do lots of gaming and working on personal projects that require a lot of bandwidth, this is a no compromise solution that works on all levels for everyday internet usage scenarios. Well worth the price tag if you're able to swing it. As always Linksys is there for it's customers if we had questions prior to leaving a review on this product that may have negatively impacted our opinion due to technical glitches. Did not need to use their support as I helped myself but the pamphlet in the box said I could personally email them if issues arise.

When I first heard that Amazon had released a budget tablet, I was skeptical on the price that quality would be sacraficed. Boy did I have the wrong assumption, this product has exceeded my expectations and then some. The screen is responsive, the animation on screen is silky smooth when you zoom in on a picture or scroll up and down, it's just all out impressive. Front facing camera too is kind of cool although the quality is not as good as the camera that is in the back. Games play fine on this but you'll be wanting a memory card to store games on it. Games play fine depending on what you install on it but some games suffer minor framerate issues if too much is happening on the screen. Okay for the price, and this should be looked at before purchasing some of the other budget tablets.

Okay, so this phone does not have the ability to auto rotate but the screen quality and the speed of this phone is Amazing. I had got it on sale for $19.99 and it's a considerable upgrade to my Pixi Glitz which I previously owned. The screen is a nice 4" so you get plenty of room to do stuff on the screen. It works anywhere in the USA where you have an ATT Tower. The down side is that if ATT is not in the area you are traveling the phone will not connect to another tower. No USB transfer cable is included, only a generic power adapter so you have to purchase your own to download pictures or upload them to the cloud for others to see. Overall a nice phone with nice battery life. Like I said the unit has no accelerometer so be prepared for that.

I wanted to install some hidden object game collections to this flash drive so I have some games to play while I'm on the train. So this was on sale during the flash sale at an even better discount so I bought it. The write speeds for USB 2.0 seem a little slow and aggravating installing stuff to it. Maybe that's not what the intended use for it is but nonetheless it's working. It will just take awhile to install. Could have installed the games to an external hard drive but it's too big and bulky to do so, so this PNY 64GB Flash Drive does the trick. Already did the Steam install test - No Good, won't work and times out due to slow disk writing speeds. Needless to say you can use this flash drive for different situations, but your results may vary.

Well worth the purchase. Was purchased to run my retro games from a flash drive without loading up the main memory on my HP Stream 11.6 laptop. Has unwanted software I would have no use for included on the flash drive but easily taken care of with a quick format through the Windows Format utility.

Flawless design and performance

I work from home and also do a lot of downloads on my computer for games. The router my phone company gave me had issues handling all of my connected devices at once. Sometimes my VOIP phone would drop out, or I would have to reset the Wireless Router in order to get a reliable wireless signal again.
I'm pleased to say that this router exceeds my expectations and then some. I live in a double wide mobile home so signal strength is important. I unpacked the unit out of the box, assembled the antennas, read the manual for the IP Address to get into the router and run the initial setup.
After the setup was complete the router reset to update the settings and everything is perfect. I have 2 desktops , 3 laptops , my Roku and my Cell Phone connected and nothing is slow or sluggish.
The signal strength is excellent, even in the double wide mobile home I live in, and you know the way these homes are built, sometimes it's impossible to get a good Wifi Signal without a decent router.
LinkSys really designed this unit well for everyday use and the quality shows in my initial use of the product.
Just keep in mind that if you forget your Wifi Router password for the Admin Screen or Wifi Password you will have to use a paper clip to reset the router settings in the back of the unit.
Absolutely worth a look at if your an everyday heavy user of the Internet like I am.

Added these speakers to my 32" Dynex LCD we bought last year. Sound from TV has always bothered me. Added these on and now the Sound Matches the picture. Connected using headphone jack placed just behind TV speakers Sounds Great. And for 9.99 a steal for a great upgrade.

Non matching audio

There are several factors that are suspect when it comes to delayed audio. HD pictures have more of an issue. It could be the cable box on your tv or whatever you use to watch TV. If you change the channel, does it do it on another one? Also check the Dynex site for firmware updates to your TV as they release updates which solve problems with the TV since the original release of the unit. Its upgradeable through a port called the Service Port so check out Dynex website for more details.

Would be outstanding product if the cable length were longer than the approximate 24". Does not work with a tower sitting below desk. Had to move tower onto desk. I'm guessing it was designed for use with laptop, but it was only non-wireless mouse Best Buy had. Cable length is only flaw. This cheap mouse is holding up strong to daily auto dealership sales associate abuse.

This is a good backup phone in case something happens to your main one. Surprising features that are included in this phone: mobile hotspot, visual voicemail, and wifi calling.
It may not be able to handle all of your apps (Candy Crush cannot run on it) but it should help tide you over until you replace your main phone.
The phone was unable to handle more than one available wifi channels. My home has two: an unrestricted one and a restricted one for the kids. When I set up both connections on the phone, the phone could not decided which one to connect to and ended up dropping my wifi connection altogether. I resolved the issue by deleting the second connection and now it works fine.
Don't expect too much from this phone especially at the price that you're getting it for and you won't be disappointed. You have two weeks to return it if you're not happy (do not peel off the plastic on the screen so you can return it).

I found this initially slow and glitchy myself. But after removing unwanted programs and updating the BIOS to 1.10 everything worked fine. Limit the amount of programs you have in the system tray and the startup services as well.

My Dell XPS M1530 finally stopped working and I needed a replacement laptop. Now you are thinking, I must be crazy to use this kind of laptop for gaming. But the graphics chip that's onboard is better then the Geforce 8400M GS that was on my previous laptop. In order to play games, you need to remove all the bloat on the laptop.
Here is what you will need for your laptop to game on it:
16GB Flash Drive (for creating the recovery drive)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
Do NOT install games on the main hard drive, there is not enough space, always install to the external drive.
Additionally you will want to disable Fast Shutdown and Fast Boot, turn off system protection and disable Windows Update. That will speed things up considerably. Don't remove the HP apps or you will not be able to create a recovery drive. You can't burn DVD media anymore.
Performance Wise: I played some older games on Steam that had 3D Graphics and they ran reasonably well if you turn down the detail level in some games. You won't be able to play GTA V so don't try it.
You can't upgrade the HDD, You can't upgrade the ram. You have to install larger programs to the external HD.
Overall a great bargain for $199. Trend Micro and 1 year of Office was a bonus.

Not every game will run on it as I said in my review. Most games will run. If you find your game will go slow, you should reduce the detail. If you don't have a good enough frame rate the game might not be meant for that graphics chip. Every person who attempts to game on it should seek out the forum of the game that they are playing and ask around. My review was based solely on experience and did not test every game out.

This is a gift for my little brother I would have exchanged the dual core 1.3ghz processor for a 1.2ghz dual core and 1 gb of ram the touch screen is resistive with 2 finger tough that sucks and the BIGGEST PROBLEM IS NO AUTO SCREEN ROTATION I WONDER THERE IS EVEN A ACCELEROMETER!!!

The Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz also suffers from the same issue. There is no accelerometer and no screen rotation. Some apps will detect this and display the games in the right format but others that will depend on that feature will crash the phone. Not a big deal to me since the only apps I use are radio streaming apps and some games that are not dependent on that feature.

After trying different phones, etc, I have finally found the perfect phone that did not cost too much money. This phone has 2GB internal memory and after you update all the apps you are left with about 1.1gb of memory to store apps. You can also move various apps to the SD Card and have more storage. It even has a built in FM Radio which the box does not list. You have to have a headphone set plugged in to listen to it.
Speed wise and performance wise, it has a great battery life and is very responsive on all fronts when using apps like Angry Birds and Hit it Rich Slots. Battery life is pretty impressive.
The few drawbacks to this phone is that the My Account App never displays the right balance, and to check your balance you have to dial in a code to your phone to check it. Kind of a setback. But once I restarted the phone it worked correctly. Just a hit and miss.
But for the price I paid this is a pretty awesome phone. And it was on sale the day after I bought it, so Best Buy easily applied the price match to my order to get the sale price. Enjoy this phone. I am enjoying it too.

Technically, you only need to activate it if you want to use it with a cell phone plan. The lowest plan you can subscribe to is $9.99 a month and you get 150 minutes, 150 texts and 150mb of data that rolls over from month to month if you have any left over at the end of the month.
If you plan on using it over wifi only, say to use apps or games, you don't have to activate it and it would make a killer iPod Touch alternative. You don't need an active cell plan to dial 911 either.

The beauty of this phone is that you can you can add data cards without having minutes on your phone. Not sure how much data your kid would use on the go but you can get that. And you can also add a text only card. They are $10 for 1000 text messages. A pretty good deal if you ask me.

This phone does require a service plan or a phone cards. If you're wondering how to add them, you can call their customer service department to add the card, go online or download the My Tracfone App and it has a built in mechanism that you can add a card there.

Can you get live sports like Jays and Leafs? I heard you can purchase basic tv package with it?
There are major premium networks you can subscribe to like NHL Center Ice through the official app. You will need to sign up for NHL.com and a Center Ice package in order to stream hockey games on your TV. This is subject to blackout rules just like the television games played online.

Does the Roku Express Steaming media player get 5G? I currently have Roku 2XS and it will not pick up my 5G signal (and therefore will not play my STARZ channel). I need a Roku that can access 5G wifi.
I'm not sure why you would need a 5ghz band to stream HD content for Starz. I had used the app Fandango now to stream Moana in HD and I was connected to the 2.4ghz band the whole time without lag. If you're finding constant dropouts while using the 2.4 ghz band consider changing the radio channel for your router to see if that helps.

You only have one HDMI port. You can use the USB port to add a monitor using a USB dongle.

You can. I did and it works 100% no incompatibility issues.

There is one way but you must sign up for the carriers online delivery account and waive your rights against the shipper to leave the item without a signature. This can be very dangerous so I would suggest that you find a friend that lives in that area and have it delivered to them.
Also if you live an an international area and not in the USA, the phone is not guaranteed to work in an international locale.

A Verizon postpaid SIM is inside the box but I activated my device on Tracfone using their own SIM. The device is not carrier locked.

When you preorder the phone for retail you pay 699$. Do I also pay tax on the 699$ because than it would be over 730$. Or is the 699$ with tax?

You have 14 days to return a device regardless of your My Best Buy status. If you return you're responsible for notifying the carrier of your return and cancelling any applicable service or you may be slapped with penalties.
