After seeing that this item was on clearance for $6.99 (got it for $1.99 after reward certificate discount) I decided that now was the time to upgrade my computer to be completely wireless. My laptop is connected to my TV for gaming so wanted to cut the corded items. This works very well for my needs and it works under Windows 10. I just plugged in the receiver and installed the batteries, it was ready to go. No extra setup required. Truly plug and play. Keep in mind this meant for home theater setups like mine where you have your laptop connected to your TV. If you're a gamer you might want to look elsewhere but for the price I paid this gets the job done 100% and I'm satisfied with it. Another solid product from Insignia and kudos to Best Buy for a wonderful online ordering and shipping experience. Everything arrived in great condition.

Since data is a separate bucket from the texts and minutes its good when I need only a light amount of data to upload photos of my Grandma to Facebook when I'm on the go and use the 3G network to access the web. I'm always connected to Wifi though and whatever data I don't use rolls over from month to month if you have service days left on your phone. Good price for the amount of data given.

I received this sound bar from Best Buy via UPS on Monday and was delighted to take this product for a test drive. It was a fairly heavy box so they were not kidding when they talked about its weight. So I got the box in the door and started to unpack the contents. I found a soundbar, subwoofer, remote and some audio cables. Subwoofer had AC plug and Soundbar had a AC brick.
Connecting to my Dynex 16" LED TV was very easy using the RCA style jacks. I have my Insignia DVD Player connected through Component Cables for progressive scan, and I have my Roku connected through HDMI. All I did was connect the cable to the headphone jack that is located on the side of the TV and I got audio from all of my devices without having to flip the button.
I was very impressed by how much more fun it was to use a TV of that size. While this probably was designed for larger size televisions, I was happy to find how compatible it was with my TV. Lots of options there. I do not have the ability to test in a larger room so can't vouch for that. But in my bedroom in my double wide mobile home the sound is just perfect for my needs.
Some quirks I'd like to point out and this is not neccesarily a deal breaker. For some odd reason, the Dynex TV Remotes volume buttons can control the soundbar. Not overly annoying but I wonder what other brand of remotes have the ability to control the sound bar as well. Can lead to a conflict if you have a potential same in house brand that Best Buy has and the remote IR signal fights over the TV and soundbar control.
Second, the AC Power adapter for the soundbar is not your standard plug. You will need an area that has ample space for larger style power adapters. The subwoofer, however is your standard size plug that you plug into the wall everyday.
Finally, the remote control is unclear on how to change the battery. Maybe I just don't get it but I tried and tried last night to get that darn thing open to see how the battery is changed out and never managed to get the thing open. Its not a big deal right now but eventually I'll need to figure out the diagram that is printed on the remote. Appears to be a standard watch battery that is found in computers.
Overall, this made my mini home theater experience in my room a more enjoyable for one, just remember the quirks I've said and know that you don't have to have a big TV to enjoy nice sound. Very pleased with this product and the brand Insignia for putting out good quality products that don't break the budget.

After trying different phones, etc, I have finally found the perfect phone that did not cost too much money. This phone has 2GB internal memory and after you update all the apps you are left with about 1.1gb of memory to store apps. You can also move various apps to the SD Card and have more storage. It even has a built in FM Radio which the box does not list. You have to have a headphone set plugged in to listen to it.
Speed wise and performance wise, it has a great battery life and is very responsive on all fronts when using apps like Angry Birds and Hit it Rich Slots. Battery life is pretty impressive.
The few drawbacks to this phone is that the My Account App never displays the right balance, and to check your balance you have to dial in a code to your phone to check it. Kind of a setback. But once I restarted the phone it worked correctly. Just a hit and miss.
But for the price I paid this is a pretty awesome phone. And it was on sale the day after I bought it, so Best Buy easily applied the price match to my order to get the sale price. Enjoy this phone. I am enjoying it too.

I have to admit, I've tried the regular stylus pens and they either made my hands have cramps, or they were hard to grip. I do have big hands so I appreciate the way the product is built. I bought this for use with my new Tracfone smart phone (Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitx) and it works fine and presses all the numbers correctly and functions smoothly when playing games like Angry Birds, etc. Had bought this as an impulse buy at my local Best Buy but it was a great purchase. I kept the blue one and gave the other to my roommate. He is satisfied with the quality of the product too. Easily a great purchase, for use by all ages not just kids.

Theoretically, $20 is good for a 4G phone. It has a nice screen size, yes it's 4G and its pretty quick. But by the time you update all your apps you wonder what else you can fit onto the unit. There is no ability to move apps to the SD card no matter what program you download to attempt it. The other thing is the questionable battery life. Of normal use I was able to get 2 days of use before plugging it into the outlet to charge again. The 1.2 ghz processor though does make up for some flaws that this phone has as all my apps run pretty smoothly. You get 500mb of high speed 4G data for $35 a month and then they throttle you to 2G until your plan comes up for renewal on the due date.
This phone uses the T Mobile Prepaid Network so make sure you can get a good signal from them before purchasing this phone as it seems to be a HSPA+ powered phone.
This phone is not bad for the adult user but if you're buying for a kid who wants to game on it, spend your money on a phone with a 5" screen and more memory.

A recent life event forced me to cut costs for myself and so I was researching TV alternatives. I am happy to say that this Roku 1 exceeds my expectations. I subscribe to Hulu so it works smoothly over Wifi. Picture quality over HDMI is much better then a satellite service I previously had.
I also like to watch certain shopping channels and was happy that my favorite channels stream through the Roku for no additional charge.
The reason why I don't give it 5 stars is that in order to complete activation, you have to provide your payment details in order to complete the activation. If you don't have a PayPal account or debit or credit card, you cant use this. However, you can set a PIN on your account so there is no accidental purchasing of goods through the app.
Overall, if you are looking to break away from the likes of the pay TV services, this one time purchase of $50 for this box will work. I have Consolidated Communications for my ISP and the 6 megs internet is enough for it to run reliably.

Works well, bought for a Senior Citizen

My Grandmother recently moved into a care home and I called around the local Telco company to see how much a land line would cost. It was outrageously high priced to say the least. So when I saw this on sale, I did some reading of the product to see how the buttons were and they are a nice size. It even speaks out the numbers when you push the buttons. As far as "speed dialing" goes, this took awhile to find inside the phone. The manual, while it's brief did not help me much. You're better off going to the Tracfone website and finding the full manual. Activation and setup was easy. I had bought the $10 30 minute plan which doubled her minutes to 60, and she got 20 bonus minutes for activating a new land line. 80 total minutes and 90 service days.
While I know the care home has staff that can call emergency lines if my Grandma is in trouble, having this phone for my Grandma gives me and her piece of mind that she would be safe and have an extra layer of security. Well worth the purchase.

I work with software such as ImgBurn , Power 2 Go 7 (came with my LG Burner) and ISO Buster. These discs work flawlessly for their intended use and ISO images with bin files as separate tracks burn flawlessly on the 12x record speed. Not a single issue so far. I only am using one and put the other 4 in a storage just in case this one goes out, but because of the quality of the burning projects I'm working with I imagine I won't have to use a replacement anytime soon.

A big improvement over the other revision

I had the previous model of this particular DVD burner and it only lasted a year. It's operation was flaky, but this model that LG has created has so far met all my expectations for installing programs and burning DVD movies. I have an old Gateway LT 2030u Netbook running Windows XP SP3 Professional and it handles it like a champ. Like a reviewer had said in their review, I agree about the reading time of this unit. It does not take long for the unit to recognize a disc. The included software is average - The only useful tool I found in there is Cyberlink YouCam and Power to Go. However they are not the complete full versions, they are light editions. Power to Go is missing it's virtual ISO mounting capability and some of the advanced features in the Webcam software are disabled and the program nags you to upgrade. No DVD playback software but it's to be expected at this price point for a an external DVD burner. There are free solutions out there if you are savvy enough to find them. One final nag about this product, the included cord seems shorter then other products I've seen. I guess this was meant to be a truly portable solution rather then something that can be placed on the desk elsewhere. But all in all, this product is impressive and reliable for the moment. Was in a pinch to pick something up from the local store to be able to work with DVD video and other burning projects so it was readily available.

Added these speakers to my 32" Dynex LCD we bought last year. Sound from TV has always bothered me. Added these on and now the Sound Matches the picture. Connected using headphone jack placed just behind TV speakers Sounds Great. And for 9.99 a steal for a great upgrade.

Non matching audio

There are several factors that are suspect when it comes to delayed audio. HD pictures have more of an issue. It could be the cable box on your tv or whatever you use to watch TV. If you change the channel, does it do it on another one? Also check the Dynex site for firmware updates to your TV as they release updates which solve problems with the TV since the original release of the unit. Its upgradeable through a port called the Service Port so check out Dynex website for more details.

Would be outstanding product if the cable length were longer than the approximate 24". Does not work with a tower sitting below desk. Had to move tower onto desk. I'm guessing it was designed for use with laptop, but it was only non-wireless mouse Best Buy had. Cable length is only flaw. This cheap mouse is holding up strong to daily auto dealership sales associate abuse.

This is a good backup phone in case something happens to your main one. Surprising features that are included in this phone: mobile hotspot, visual voicemail, and wifi calling.
It may not be able to handle all of your apps (Candy Crush cannot run on it) but it should help tide you over until you replace your main phone.
The phone was unable to handle more than one available wifi channels. My home has two: an unrestricted one and a restricted one for the kids. When I set up both connections on the phone, the phone could not decided which one to connect to and ended up dropping my wifi connection altogether. I resolved the issue by deleting the second connection and now it works fine.
Don't expect too much from this phone especially at the price that you're getting it for and you won't be disappointed. You have two weeks to return it if you're not happy (do not peel off the plastic on the screen so you can return it).

I found this initially slow and glitchy myself. But after removing unwanted programs and updating the BIOS to 1.10 everything worked fine. Limit the amount of programs you have in the system tray and the startup services as well.

My Dell XPS M1530 finally stopped working and I needed a replacement laptop. Now you are thinking, I must be crazy to use this kind of laptop for gaming. But the graphics chip that's onboard is better then the Geforce 8400M GS that was on my previous laptop. In order to play games, you need to remove all the bloat on the laptop.
Here is what you will need for your laptop to game on it:
16GB Flash Drive (for creating the recovery drive)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
Do NOT install games on the main hard drive, there is not enough space, always install to the external drive.
Additionally you will want to disable Fast Shutdown and Fast Boot, turn off system protection and disable Windows Update. That will speed things up considerably. Don't remove the HP apps or you will not be able to create a recovery drive. You can't burn DVD media anymore.
Performance Wise: I played some older games on Steam that had 3D Graphics and they ran reasonably well if you turn down the detail level in some games. You won't be able to play GTA V so don't try it.
You can't upgrade the HDD, You can't upgrade the ram. You have to install larger programs to the external HD.
Overall a great bargain for $199. Trend Micro and 1 year of Office was a bonus.

Not every game will run on it as I said in my review. Most games will run. If you find your game will go slow, you should reduce the detail. If you don't have a good enough frame rate the game might not be meant for that graphics chip. Every person who attempts to game on it should seek out the forum of the game that they are playing and ask around. My review was based solely on experience and did not test every game out.

This is a gift for my little brother I would have exchanged the dual core 1.3ghz processor for a 1.2ghz dual core and 1 gb of ram the touch screen is resistive with 2 finger tough that sucks and the BIGGEST PROBLEM IS NO AUTO SCREEN ROTATION I WONDER THERE IS EVEN A ACCELEROMETER!!!

The Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz also suffers from the same issue. There is no accelerometer and no screen rotation. Some apps will detect this and display the games in the right format but others that will depend on that feature will crash the phone. Not a big deal to me since the only apps I use are radio streaming apps and some games that are not dependent on that feature.

Technically, you only need to activate it if you want to use it with a cell phone plan. The lowest plan you can subscribe to is $9.99 a month and you get 150 minutes, 150 texts and 150mb of data that rolls over from month to month if you have any left over at the end of the month.
If you plan on using it over wifi only, say to use apps or games, you don't have to activate it and it would make a killer iPod Touch alternative. You don't need an active cell plan to dial 911 either.

The beauty of this phone is that you can you can add data cards without having minutes on your phone. Not sure how much data your kid would use on the go but you can get that. And you can also add a text only card. They are $10 for 1000 text messages. A pretty good deal if you ask me.

This phone does require a service plan or a phone cards. If you're wondering how to add them, you can call their customer service department to add the card, go online or download the My Tracfone App and it has a built in mechanism that you can add a card there.

I'm not sure why you would need a 5ghz band to stream HD content for Starz. I had used the app Fandango now to stream Moana in HD and I was connected to the 2.4ghz band the whole time without lag. If you're finding constant dropouts while using the 2.4 ghz band consider changing the radio channel for your router to see if that helps.

There is one way but you must sign up for the carriers online delivery account and waive your rights against the shipper to leave the item without a signature. This can be very dangerous so I would suggest that you find a friend that lives in that area and have it delivered to them.

A Verizon postpaid SIM is inside the box but I activated my device on Tracfone using their own SIM. The device is not carrier locked.
