Very tiny but reliable

Needed a simple solution to store important files I downloaded online and this appears to work just fine. Its much much smaller then my other flash drives I have in my plastic storage bin , but it gets the job done. Beware of the very tiny size , if you are getting this with the intent to get your kids flash drives to save their homework - this is not the flash drive for you. It's for adults who are very careful with small objects. Bought this because it was on sale. Was dissapointed the other model was out of stick but this was about a buck more so I said what the heck. Still the best price on the market - I applaud Best Buy for very low prices and great customer service at the store.
What's great about it: Tiny footprint - Hardly looks like a flash drive
What's not so great: Small Size easily makes it get lost - No lanyard compatibility

Solid Reliability

I bought this because I like to burn DVD Movies and other compilations for my own personal use and so far this product has satisfied all of my needs so far. Not one disk I have burned had a coaster so far. The software included is a light version of Cyberlink Products. There is a version of YouCam in there but it's limited to taking photos of yourself and other misc things but you can't use the desktop recording feature or other stuff. Also be aware you can't install this disk on another computer that does not have this drive. If this drive is not plugged in , you can't install it. The cord is also a pretty good length it seems to be a low power draw from the USB port and not require another port to use , its also a standard USB plug and not some funky angle plug that would drive computer users batty.
This DVD Burner by the way replaced another brand name that has the name of an actual animal which I won't say in this review but it did not last very long....
What's great about it: Very Slim design and quiet
What's not so great: Cyberlink Media Suite is somewhat not needed depending on your needs

My partner and I have this obnoxious habit of making too much coffee in the morning and it ends up going to waste. He drinks 1 cup maximum and I drink about 2 cups - We bought this to replace a failing coffee maker that was on the fritz of going out. And it's going to help us cut back on our coffee costs for using too much. So far it's a great experience and I was glad I got it on sale 1 week back when it was the cheaper price. Since now I put it in the cart and notice it was still on sale but a more expensive price.
Just be aware you need to buy your own filters or find one that's resusable - We thought we could get away with the previous filter we had on our coffee maker but I was wrong. Oh well. Price was right and Best Buy's in store pickup was cool too.
Great value overall.
What's great about it: Programmable Timer, good space fitter in the kitchen
What's not so great: Wish a reusable filter was included

Turned a netbook into a desktop

Bought this at my local best buy so I could turn one port into 4 , it does as it says on the packaging, but that darn cord , it's too short. I could solve this with a USB extension but then again you would have issues pertaining to the responsive nature of the items.
While I know other websites would have this cheaper for X amount of dollars this seems to be quality made , for the time being it works but felt the item could have been a lot cheaper in price. I guess there was no sale going on at the time.
What's great about it: 1 port becomes 4!
What's not so great: Seems a bit overpriced at this price point, and the cord is too short making it difficult to adapt some items
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am an independent contractor for a software company and work from home and I need something with a large screen so I am able to do my spreadsheets and answer customer inquiries. This monitor did the trick and now my kitchen table is my office for when I work. It does have DVI and VGA ports but I don't need the DVI Port as VGA works just fine. The included stand, it's fine , it may break if you take the stand off too many times. The monitor is staying here in the kitchen just for work purposes. As a matter of fact , I am using it right now to write the review. Best Buy had a good price on this as well because of their weekend sale, I don't think I want to spend the price on a monitor after the sale is over.... Then again it just may as well go on sale again.
What's great about it: Vivid bright colors , clear text , large screen format
What's not so great: Questionalble stand included with product, seems cheaply made / flimsy

My money situation had changed and I signed up for the Assurance Wireless program and the phone they sent me did not work too well quality wise. So I bought this phone to replace the phone they gave me and all has been well since I transferred my service over to the phone. This was done online and was processed in about 15 minutes.
So far I have no complaints about the phone. It has nice ringer options , fairly big buttons, lit up buttons , and a design that makes it easy so you don't dial anyone by accident.
It was a little disappointing to find that there is no Blutooth included on this phone I had to have a friend help me manually enter my contacts as my hands were getting tired after a couple of minutes. I guess we traded turns doing it. There is also no camera on this phone and I would have liked this feature to be able to send pictures to family in case I am in trouble medically I could snap a pic of the location I am at so they can get a better idea where I was. 911 can still tell where I am at however.
I use the phone mainly to keep in touch with doctors , the pharmacy and let family know where I go so they don't worry. The price I get on the lifeline service is $5 for 500 minutes and 500 texts. There is no internet - Don't need it however there is a feature that lets you check your text and minute balance so you don't go over. Even if you don't have money in your assurance wireless account you still get the 250 free minutes and 250 free texts but they don't roll over month to month.
Overall I am satisfied with this phone and it's my lifeline to the world.

This product is pretty good, but pretty good at best. While it has all the bells and whistles such as an FM Radio and a front facing camera, the phone experience is slow and pokey on some apps and when you first turn it on. And also what good is a 5mp camera without a flash built in. I can see the front facing cam as one thing but the back camera is another story alltogether.
Had issues with the product detecting the battery at first. I did not know if the phone was defective or not. But this issue has passed for the time being it detects it correctly and charged fully. Batttery life can be run down in 1 hour and 30 minutes if you play games. Phone not designed for this activity.
It does have a FM Radio tuner built in which really surprises me at this price point but then again Alcatel is good for including this function in their phones. Even has RDS function to display the song and artist currently playing on the radio.
Overall this phone is pretty good at $50 but don't get too confident because of the price because your patience is going to be really tried on this phone.
One final suggestion. I would unpack the phone and then charge it overnight leaving the charger in. That way you get the maximum charge and less of a hassle the second time around.

I'm using this particular burner with a Dell XPS M1530 where the slot loading DVD Burner on my laptop went out. Since I don't have the technical expertise to fix something like this, I got this and I've owned it for about 6 months now, used it on multiple computers and it's been working fine. Many users will notice it has 2 USB plugs. Depending on the wattage of your laptop or the electronic design, it will function on 1 USB Port. For most situations that is. If you have something important you are burning such as a movie, or a music CD I would plug in the second cord for stability purposes. I know it has a very short cord, some people may like this , but there are consequences for this if you don.t have the room to place it in for organizational reasons. More suitable for laptop users. If you have a desktop, unless your tower has USB ports at the very bottom front of the tower don't count on using it with the tower.
My reccomendation of this product is neutral, as some people want the short cord and some people prefer longer cords, I'd say I wanted a longer cord but part of me wants a shorter cord only if the USB input is in the right place of the unit.
A final note about this burner. The included burning solution is horrible. While it's a lite edition of the software it constantly nags me to buy the full edition of the program. I don't like this. If you are looking for basic functionality for burning, you are better off getting programs such as Burn Aware Free Edition. It's easy and simplistic to the point to burn discs and does not contain a nagging presence.
Also, if you own a slot loading Dell XPS laptop and you are in the same situation as me with a broken slot loading optical drive, you must go into the BIOS and disable the Module Bay Detection otherwise you can't use this drive to boot discs from, such as Windows Setup, etc.
Not one of the best solutions out there for burning but not one of the worst that's out there.

I previously owned a basic wireless mouse and it did not make sense to have it close by when all I was doing was surfing the internet and playing online games. I bought this to replace the mouse I previously had and I have just enough cord length to comfortably operate the mouse without a hassle. I like how I can extend as much as I need to , to adapt to my different computing situations. Love the design of the mouse too, casing and mouse overall seems well built, perhaps not suitable for hardcore gaming , but it will do what it's mean to do , scroll up and down and left and right click.
Got it on sale for $7.99 which made it a very good deal, love how Best Buy puts these on sale :)

Got these on sale at Best Buy for $9.99 and It works beautifully on my Dell XPS M1530 laptop. I primarily play class games on emulators, watch Netflix, listen to music and talk radio on iHeart Radio.
If you are were looking for a quality experience for a home theater setup or a hardcore gaming scenario, these are not for you , they are for the basics and use within reasonable audio levels for comfortable listening.
The only thing that may bother some people is the wide angle AC Adapter, it strongly resembles a phone charger I have in my drawer. May not be adaptable to all surge protector models because of the plug. Have no idea if you can replace the adapter to conform to your plugs or not but I did not have that problem sooooo......
It was so cheap to purchase I wanted to purchase another pair for my Netbook but they did not have anymore quantity in the store.
If you have bad quality speakers that need upgrading, get these while they are at this price. Id say that if I paid full price it would even be worth it too.

Added these speakers to my 32" Dynex LCD we bought last year. Sound from TV has always bothered me. Added these on and now the Sound Matches the picture. Connected using headphone jack placed just behind TV speakers Sounds Great. And for 9.99 a steal for a great upgrade.

Non matching audio

There are several factors that are suspect when it comes to delayed audio. HD pictures have more of an issue. It could be the cable box on your tv or whatever you use to watch TV. If you change the channel, does it do it on another one? Also check the Dynex site for firmware updates to your TV as they release updates which solve problems with the TV since the original release of the unit. Its upgradeable through a port called the Service Port so check out Dynex website for more details.

Would be outstanding product if the cable length were longer than the approximate 24". Does not work with a tower sitting below desk. Had to move tower onto desk. I'm guessing it was designed for use with laptop, but it was only non-wireless mouse Best Buy had. Cable length is only flaw. This cheap mouse is holding up strong to daily auto dealership sales associate abuse.

This is a good backup phone in case something happens to your main one. Surprising features that are included in this phone: mobile hotspot, visual voicemail, and wifi calling.
It may not be able to handle all of your apps (Candy Crush cannot run on it) but it should help tide you over until you replace your main phone.
The phone was unable to handle more than one available wifi channels. My home has two: an unrestricted one and a restricted one for the kids. When I set up both connections on the phone, the phone could not decided which one to connect to and ended up dropping my wifi connection altogether. I resolved the issue by deleting the second connection and now it works fine.
Don't expect too much from this phone especially at the price that you're getting it for and you won't be disappointed. You have two weeks to return it if you're not happy (do not peel off the plastic on the screen so you can return it).

I found this initially slow and glitchy myself. But after removing unwanted programs and updating the BIOS to 1.10 everything worked fine. Limit the amount of programs you have in the system tray and the startup services as well.

My Dell XPS M1530 finally stopped working and I needed a replacement laptop. Now you are thinking, I must be crazy to use this kind of laptop for gaming. But the graphics chip that's onboard is better then the Geforce 8400M GS that was on my previous laptop. In order to play games, you need to remove all the bloat on the laptop.
Here is what you will need for your laptop to game on it:
16GB Flash Drive (for creating the recovery drive)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
Do NOT install games on the main hard drive, there is not enough space, always install to the external drive.
Additionally you will want to disable Fast Shutdown and Fast Boot, turn off system protection and disable Windows Update. That will speed things up considerably. Don't remove the HP apps or you will not be able to create a recovery drive. You can't burn DVD media anymore.
Performance Wise: I played some older games on Steam that had 3D Graphics and they ran reasonably well if you turn down the detail level in some games. You won't be able to play GTA V so don't try it.
You can't upgrade the HDD, You can't upgrade the ram. You have to install larger programs to the external HD.
Overall a great bargain for $199. Trend Micro and 1 year of Office was a bonus.

Not every game will run on it as I said in my review. Most games will run. If you find your game will go slow, you should reduce the detail. If you don't have a good enough frame rate the game might not be meant for that graphics chip. Every person who attempts to game on it should seek out the forum of the game that they are playing and ask around. My review was based solely on experience and did not test every game out.

The Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz also suffers from the same issue. There is no accelerometer and no screen rotation. Some apps will detect this and display the games in the right format but others that will depend on that feature will crash the phone. Not a big deal to me since the only apps I use are radio streaming apps and some games that are not dependent on that feature.

After trying different phones, etc, I have finally found the perfect phone that did not cost too much money. This phone has 2GB internal memory and after you update all the apps you are left with about 1.1gb of memory to store apps. You can also move various apps to the SD Card and have more storage. It even has a built in FM Radio which the box does not list. You have to have a headphone set plugged in to listen to it.
Speed wise and performance wise, it has a great battery life and is very responsive on all fronts when using apps like Angry Birds and Hit it Rich Slots. Battery life is pretty impressive.
The few drawbacks to this phone is that the My Account App never displays the right balance, and to check your balance you have to dial in a code to your phone to check it. Kind of a setback. But once I restarted the phone it worked correctly. Just a hit and miss.
But for the price I paid this is a pretty awesome phone. And it was on sale the day after I bought it, so Best Buy easily applied the price match to my order to get the sale price. Enjoy this phone. I am enjoying it too.

Technically, you only need to activate it if you want to use it with a cell phone plan. The lowest plan you can subscribe to is $9.99 a month and you get 150 minutes, 150 texts and 150mb of data that rolls over from month to month if you have any left over at the end of the month.
If you plan on using it over wifi only, say to use apps or games, you don't have to activate it and it would make a killer iPod Touch alternative. You don't need an active cell plan to dial 911 either.

The beauty of this phone is that you can you can add data cards without having minutes on your phone. Not sure how much data your kid would use on the go but you can get that. And you can also add a text only card. They are $10 for 1000 text messages. A pretty good deal if you ask me.

This phone does require a service plan or a phone cards. If you're wondering how to add them, you can call their customer service department to add the card, go online or download the My Tracfone App and it has a built in mechanism that you can add a card there.

Can you get live sports like Jays and Leafs? I heard you can purchase basic tv package with it?
There are major premium networks you can subscribe to like NHL Center Ice through the official app. You will need to sign up for NHL.com and a Center Ice package in order to stream hockey games on your TV. This is subject to blackout rules just like the television games played online.

Does the Roku Express Steaming media player get 5G? I currently have Roku 2XS and it will not pick up my 5G signal (and therefore will not play my STARZ channel). I need a Roku that can access 5G wifi.
I'm not sure why you would need a 5ghz band to stream HD content for Starz. I had used the app Fandango now to stream Moana in HD and I was connected to the 2.4ghz band the whole time without lag. If you're finding constant dropouts while using the 2.4 ghz band consider changing the radio channel for your router to see if that helps.

You only have one HDMI port. You can use the USB port to add a monitor using a USB dongle.

You can. I did and it works 100% no incompatibility issues.

There is one way but you must sign up for the carriers online delivery account and waive your rights against the shipper to leave the item without a signature. This can be very dangerous so I would suggest that you find a friend that lives in that area and have it delivered to them.
Also if you live an an international area and not in the USA, the phone is not guaranteed to work in an international locale.

A Verizon postpaid SIM is inside the box but I activated my device on Tracfone using their own SIM. The device is not carrier locked.

When you preorder the phone for retail you pay 699$. Do I also pay tax on the 699$ because than it would be over 730$. Or is the 699$ with tax?

You have 14 days to return a device regardless of your My Best Buy status. If you return you're responsible for notifying the carrier of your return and cancelling any applicable service or you may be slapped with penalties.
