Great desktop
on June 26, 2022
Posted by: Josh454
I've had this computer for about a week and it's working very well. It can handle light gaming and is great as a general desktop/workstation. Plenty fast for any basic computer needs and fast enough to have some fun in the downtime.
The computer comes with a 256GB 2230 NVMe drive (it can handle a 2280 drive also). It has 12GB of ram in an 8gb+4gb configuration. There is an included short SATA cable and an additional unused sata port on the board for a total of 2 open sata connections. There are also several sata power connectors unused. There is a open PCIe x1 slot and a PCIe x16 graphics port. There is no power connector for a video card though so you'd have to get a card without any additional power needed (comes with a 180w power supply).
Overall I'm very happy with this computer. It has easy to use ports on the front. The keyboard and wired mouse that are included work well enough. I like the blue color of the case. It's a little nicer appearing than the standard black cases. It's also nice to still include a physical DVD drive.
I'd definitely recommend this computer, it's easy to set up, use and hopefully will last a nice long time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our baby monitor was built with the same Rexing standards and will prove to be the best personal babysitter. Our baby monitor stands out as it can record 720p video and Audio, all while alerting you if your baby is crying or if the temperature gets too hot or cold. Also, help your baby sleep faster by setting up and playing up to 8 lullaby songs.

Nice monitor with a few features that are good/bad
on June 26, 2022
Posted by: Josh454
I've used the Rexing baby monitor for about a week now and it works well.
I've used a few baby monitors over the years and this one has a few cool features that I like but a couple of quirks that may or not be annoying.
Pros:
- Very clear picture
- Easy controls
- Small monitor with nice size screen
- Battery life is good, should last overnight without being plugged in
- The camera aims smoothly
- Uses micro-USB (better than a dedicated barrel plug but not as nice as the new standard USB-c)
Cons:
- The zoom is not great, it gets grainy but the zoomed out picture is clear
- It is not Wifi enabled. I don't mind this but a lot of people probably do
Pro/Con you decide:
The screen shuts off after around a minute. I couldn't find any setting on the device to change this. It has an automatic noise detection system that you can adjust and will turn the screen back on when noise is detected. I don't mind this as an overnight system but during the day it would be nice to stay on.
The buttons on the monitor are not physical buttons but the touch sensitive pad. I don't mind this but physical buttons tend to be more consistent for me.
One cool feature I like that I haven't seen on a monitor is they allow recording to a microSD card (not included) you install into the camera. It seems to work well and can capture those cute little moments.
Overall this seems to be a good monitor and should work well for keeping an eye on the little ones.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good headphones if you don't want the in ear style
on May 15, 2022
Posted by: Josh454
How Often Used:3-5 times a week
I wanted a pair of true wireless headphones that don't push into the ear canal. These are a good option especially if you don't want to go the way of the fruit.
These earbuds come delivered in a nice box and are in a very nice textured charging case. It's nice to not has a perfectly smooth shiny case as it's easier to handle but still looks very nice. The case has a USB-C charging port at the bottom and is easy to keep track of battery life with the bright LED that flashes it's status using colors when you open the case or push the button on the bottom.
The earbuds themselves are nicely designed with a textured lower section that is easy to hold but doesn't irritate the ear. The sound is great and the battery life seems to be right where they advertise it will be. Since these don't extend into your ear you still can hear everything around you. I had no problems having conversations with these in by pausing the music, my other into ear earbuds have sound passthrough that has to be turned on to have a conversation clearly.
I also really like the fact you can use either earbud independently or together in stereo. There are many times I listen to music all day while working outside but only want one in. I could use one side until the battery got low then let that one charge while I used the other side.
Phone calls were clear and crisp. The only problem I ran across was listening to voicemails the volume was very low, but I can't rule out that was something to do with my phone and not caused by these earbuds.
My only problem with these is the controls. They let you touch above the M on each earbud either 1, 2 or 3 times to do different controls. I found these taps to be somewhat difficult to time and something you have to learn to do. I initially would hit the control a lot while putting the earbuds in my ears. This is something I'm going to have to learn to hold the earbuds a different way so I don't trigger the touch. The other problem is hitting it several times skips the track but it's didn't always recognize me hitting it multiple times and would just register me tapping it once which pause/plays. It can be frustrating and something I hope they an smooth out. It would also be nice to have some volume control built into the taps. I could not find any volume control through these earbuds, you had to go to the phone to turn up or down.
Overall I found these earbuds a nice option if you don't want the into ear style. I would recommend them if you can live with the little tradeoffs mentioned above.

Good basic computer after a new drive
on February 19, 2022
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
I've used this Dell Inspiron for a couple weeks.
The tower is nicely sized and does not take up much space. The ports on the front have everything you will need to use which is very nice. Having the DVD drive is nice also.
Out of the box the computer will test your patience. After booting up in a short period, it would take several seconds to register a mouse click or keyboard stroke. I thought it was still just loading things but didn't get better after several minutes. After testing and using the hardware it was clear the HDD most of the delay. Updating all the drivers and software helped to speed up a little but nothing got better until I upgraded to the SSD.
This computer has an extra SATA port on the motherboard and an open NVMe port, and a PCIe x16, x1. I upgraded to a SATA SSD and it improved the response slightly. I put a NVMe drive in and the computer has no delay now in clicks or programs loading.
Upgrading to a discrete graphics card is a little tough also because the power supply is only 260W so you really have to be careful in getting a card with low power usage.
The processor is low on the Intel totem pole but is more than you'll need for almost any work. The included memory is enough for most uses and 8gb is 1 stick so you can easily increase RAM.
Overall this is a good budget computer but know you'll need to spend at least another $50 to upgrade to an NVMe drive. It's not hard to install, my computer had the holding screw included. A base HDD drive should not be included as the main hard drive in any modern computer with better reasonably priced options.

Good humidifier
on January 27, 2022
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
I've had this for about a week and it works very well.
Pros:
- It's so quiet you can barely hear it.
- On the max setting it will run for about 18 hrs
- Automatic shutoff when empty
- Easy to clean
- Adjustable nozzle to direct the mist
- Nice looking to leave out in clear view
- Handle on top and bottom of tank
- No filter that needs replaced
Cons:
- The tank is very wet on the top and bottom when you have to refill it so it will drip on the way to sink.
- Can not use it on carpet since the air intake is on the bottom.
Overall this is a nicely designed humidifier. The min/max knob gives you good control over the output.
I would recommend this, it was a nice upgrade to our old model.

Great system for most situations
on December 21, 2021
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
I've had this system for a couple of weeks and it is exactly what I was looking for.
The picture is clear and the motion detection is great. Nightvision works very well and the settings let you adjust just about anything you could think of. I set this up around my house and in my garage. I needed the NVR system as I only had a 3/4" EMT conduit to run cabling through to my attic for wiring. I was able to pull 6 thick CAT6 cables easily through the 3/4". I put my own ends on the cables (wouldn't be able to pull all 4 cables through a 3/4 conduit with bends with ends attached). The system is working perfectly fine with my cabling. I'm guessing the longest cable is about 60'. The system only calls for Cat5e cables, 4-60' cables are included in the kit.
The physical camera's themselves are very nice. They are average size for what they are and the mounts are great, giving you complete adjustability to mount in any direction. I mounted all mine to the soffit and was able to angle the cameras for perfect coverage. They are only 90deg view which was less than the cameras I was replacing so I had to be more careful adjusting for the right coverage. The resolution is great and you can zoom in and see whatever you'd like detail wise. They do made a dome camera that looks like it would be easier in a couple of my locations so I may add a couple channels in the future (the system can handle 8 cameras total).
The system itself was not quite the layout I'm used to so I had to track down the manual to learn how to adjust everything. Once I had the manual though it's easy and straightforward to adjust whatever setting you can think of. I haven't gotten into the AI system to deeply but it looks like some pretty nice features. The basic adjustments were all I was looking for to get complete coverage, the AI will just be for fun to play with.
It took me an afternoon to physically install the system, but a lot of that was drilling and pulling cables through my attic and soffit (there are many easier ways but I didn't want to see anything other than the camera). The setup takes however long you want to play with the software. I probably spent about 30 minutes with just basic setup and it was fully functional and protecting. The rest of time was just spent playing with different settings to see how they affected everything. The motion sensing must be somewhat AI based because it will trigger my notification when I'm walking over 75' away.
The app is pretty smooth. I have an older phone so the videos don't always play smoothly. If I adjust it down to SD playback it seems to do fine (my home cable internet the system is hooked up to is roughly 300mb/12mb). The notifications don't always load in real time on the app notification screen. I don't know if that's my phone or the system but it hasn't caused a problem yet so it hasn't bothered me, they all show up on the system monitor if I need to review, plus it's better resolution.
Overall I would highly recommend this system. It works perfectly for my home, and I would definitely be confident using it at any of the commercial properties I deal with.

Great baby monitor
on November 28, 2021
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
This baby monitor is great. It has a very clear picture, good battery life and is very intuitive to use.
From my usage I wasn't able to get the 24 hours claimed but did get over 15hrs with good reception and low backlight. It's more than enough to cover a days usage and more than I expected. It charges through a USB-C port and comes with a charger.
The camera itself still uses a micro-USB which I'm assuming is just an older design. It's a little annoying to have 2 different ports but much better than a lot of other systems that use barrel plugs. The tilt/pan on the camera works smoothly and is nice for when you want to watch play in a whole room. The night vision works very well. We had the camera set up about 10' away from the slat front and side crib and I was very easily able to see our baby.
The monitor itself has a clear, nice large screen. It's easy to operate and has all the standard features you'd expect on a monitor. The talk feature works well and the 3 level zoom is convenient.
I would definitely recommend this camera system. It's well designed and works smoothly.

Good looking effective antenna
on November 5, 2021
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
This antenna is a nice design to leave in sight and gets just as many channels as my large in attic antenna in the right location.
I tried it on a couple different TV's in a couple locations. When on the opposite end of my house from the broadcast locations (going through at least 4 walls) it did not do very well and only got a few channels. The higher it went the better the reception though. In the second location it was on the side of the house closest to broadcast (2 walls) and got just as many channels as my attic antenna. I am about 25 miles from the broadcast antennas but at the bottom of a hill so not really line of sight.
Overall I would recommend this as a good option for over the air channels when you need to leave your antenna visible. It almost looks like a soundbar in size and fabric finish. I am very happy with this antenna.

Bluetooth is well worth it
on September 30, 2021
Posted by: Josh454
from Lisle, IL
I have had the blood pressure monitor for a couple of weeks now and it is great. It's easy to set up, easy to read and syncing to the phone app is great.
I was originally going to get the standard monitor without bluetooth but I'm very happy I got the bluetooth model. It is so convenient to be able to track and monitor the readings through the phone app instead of just using the monitor itself.
The monitor is fairly standard for these, but the bluetooth makes it so easy to track. The app is nicely laid out and lets you easily see history and progression of your readings. The cuff is easy to put on and adjust and the whole system seems like it should hold up well over time. The multiple users works great for tracking several people. It is a little goofy to me how to switch between users but it's not hard and once you get used to it you'll never have a problem. We've been using it for 2 people to track, each with their info on their phone and its work flawlessly. It can support up to 4 users.
The other benefit to the app is there are a number of other health monitors from Beurer that can sync to the same app. After looking through their offerings I'm definitely considering a couple other items to be able to track a number of health stats in the same app.
I would definitely recommend this model and highly recommend getting the bluetooth model over the standard one.

Great way to cook
on September 26, 2021

We've had our Crock-Pot for a little while and have really enjoyed it. There are so many thing to make in it and it's nice to not have to make dinner right before you eat.
This product itself is a nice bundle. Both pots work just as you would expect a Crock-Pot to work. The 7 quart is very large so it's best suited for parties or gatherings. We used it for a 4-6 person meal and it was definitely more space than we needed. The preset buttons for time are very convenient and easy to use. The small pot is perfect for dips or other toppings. The large pot has the latch down gasketed lid for traveling and removeable ceramic bowl for easy cleaning.
The color is lighter than I had expected for 'mushroom' but goes very nicely with our kitchen (off-white cabinets, tan quartz and creamy white backsplash). I would say ours was closer to off white color but it fits perfectly and we love it.
The only complaints we had were the ceramic coating was not perfect on the large pot bowl. It was on the outside of the bowl, not the inside that affects anything but we'll have to watch to make sure it doesn't start chipping from those spots. The small dipper pot also had a couple dimples on the outside of it that look like it either didn't bend around the pot smoothly or there was something under the mushroom colored metal that pushed the dimples out. It doesn't affect operation or even aesthetics but we did notice when we unboxed.
Overall we love our Crock-Pots and highly recommend them for ease of use and the endless options for meals to make.

The Shark EZ Robot is your easy path to a smart clean. It combines the convenience of a self-empty base with powerful Shark suction for a complete home clean. After each cleaning session, your robot automatically empties itself into the bagless self-empty base, which holds multiple sessions’ worth of dirt and debris so you can forget about vacuuming for weeks. Now that’s easy.

Is this robot smart enough not to fall down stairs

Yes it will not fall down stairs. There are a couple warnings in the manual about not having carpet runners at the top of wood stairs and such where apparently the robot can get confused and risk falling. But I have not had a problem, it cleans up the the edge of steps on hard surfaces and does not risk falling.

Does this have a home mapping and room by room cleaning feature?

It seems to map the floorplan as it goes but it is not a map you can see, adjust or label. From what I can tell it is stored in the robot and just used to fine tune the cleaning runs.
As for room-by-room cleaning it does not have that feature. It is just whole house cleaning or nothing (unless you can close doors or block the robot with the boundary strips to keep it out of certain areas.

Shark VACMOP Pro cordless hard floor system uses an innovative all-in-one disposable pad to vacuum and lock away debris other pads push around, and to spray mop tough messes. Pick up dry debris, then spray mop, and toss the pad with one click–never touch a dirty pad again! Features LED headlights, charger, 2 disposable pads, and a 12-oz. bottle of Shark VACMOP Multi-Surface Cleaner.

How many times can you use the pad before throwing it away?

Depends on how wet it gets. I've stored them being only slightly wet and it did fine. If it gets saturated I'd throw it out and start fresh. I think when I checked pads were less than $1 so I don't know that it's worth trying to stretch them out to long.

What is a magnetic charger? How long does it hold a charge?

Magnetic charger just means it does not have exposed plugs you have to plug in. There is a wall plug like a phone charger, then the other end of the cord is a small appx 1.5" disk that has a magnet built in. You put that against the back charging area of the vacuum and it automatically sticks to the vacuum and charges without having to 'plug' into the vacuum. The advantage is if you forget to 'unplug' before grabbing the vacuum the disk will just pull off, no harm done.
I can't attest to how long a charge will last. I've used it for over half an hour with spraying and vacuuming and it's not giving any indication it needs charged again. The LED on the front will flash different times to show when it's getting low and needs charged.
Hope this helps.

They recommend you throw it away after every use. The instructions say to store the vacuum without a pad on it. I have stored it for a couple nights with a slightly wet pad and used it again and it did fine. If the pad was overly wet I would dispose of it before letting it sit.

You can use this Moto Z Force Droid smartphone with its Android Marshmallow operating system to run Google apps.

Does this also come with the free upgrade and free activation that Verizon is offering through their website?

I didn't get free activation although it was a better deal if you pre-ordered through Best Buy than VZW. Not sure if it is now that its normal purchase though.

Does this phone have wireless charging?

No not built in. You can essentially add it though through the Incipio, Tumi or Kate Spade battery mods that have wireless charging though.

It doesn't mention that the screen is shatterproof like the ones Verizon has, is it? Because that's the main reason I'm interested

All Moto Z Droid Force have unbreakable screen from what I understand.

All Moto Z Droids have normal screens.

Can someone who owns this phone let me know how the screen is outdoors? Is it bright enough to see well outdoors?

I came from a Droid Maxx if that helps but the Moto Z Force has dimmer low and brighter high than that phone does.

I have used it outside fairly often without the screen as bright as it would go and I can see it clearly.
