Great Performance and Capacity for the Price

I have an older I7-3770K computer from Dell that I put this SSD into. I was impressed with how easy it was to copy my OS hard drive onto this, install it, and swap out my existing drive. I had software already that allowed me to clone my existing drive onto this SSD, so I could simply then shutdown, install, and power up the PC with the SSD. I instantly saw improved performance with my PC. Startup on my PC improved significantly, and I reformatted my existing mechanical drive to use it to store photos, videos, etc.

Reading the reviews for this switch, I was a bit concerned that when I went to actually install this, I was going to find that I didn't have the 5 wire setup that is required. Luckily, that was not the case, and installing the switch was pretty straightforward, following the directions on the app.
Like other reviewers noted, I was able to install one 3 way switch on two different circuits, as opposed to both switches on the same circuit. This was an unexpected benefit, and definitely makes it a good buy.
I'm not sure why anyone would want to install both of these on the same circuit, as I can't seem to find any advantage of doing so.
Overall, the entire setup probably took me an hour for both switches (removal of old, install of new). Someone more experienced can probably do it much quicker. This was my first attempt at installing a 3-way switch.

I've had the opportunity to use the laptop for about a week now. The performance of this machine is great for regular tasks, and the laptop worked well as a gaming laptop.
The included SSD is a significant improvement for any gamer over a standard hard drive, and 8GB of RAM is sufficient at this price point. The laptop was able to run Plex really well, so I could stream my video collection off of a NAS that I have in the house.
Even during gaming, the laptop never got too hot. There were a few small things that I did not like about the laptop, but they were not a huge deal for me. Battery performance was just ok, but since I intend to use the laptop at home in most situations, it will likely be plugged in most of the time. I also was not a big fan of the touchpad, as the built in buttons are not all that responsive for gaming. I will likely continue to use my gaming mouse, and I imagine most other gamers will choose the same.
Overall though, the Acer Nitro 5 is a good mid-range gaming laptop that performs well at tasks that most users would do, and is a great laptop for the price.

Great Photo Editing Application with some caveats

I am not a professional photographer. I have multiple digital cameras and primarily now use my phone for taking pictures. My biggest challenge is keeping track and organizing the photos on my computer to find them later. That's where Photoshop Elements 2018!
Photoshop Elements 2018 is great at organizing and finding photos. There are built-in tools for detecting duplicates and the ability to face detect photos is extremely helpful. I've had these features in other programs before, but Photoshop Elements 2018 does it all in one program.
The auto-curate option is great. Using machine learning, it tries to identifies your best photos. This is pretty neat to play with, though hopefully it gets better over time. So far, I found a limit of 500 images, and I have thousands captured over the year now. It seems to prefer my oldest photos... which maybe is a polite way of saying my photography skills are getting worse with age!
The photo editing side of the application is good too. Again, I really only focus on basic touch-ups, which Photoshop Elements 2018 does really well and in a user friendly environment.
On the downside, I had previously upgraded from the previous version. Photoshop Elements 2018 was supposed to be a significant upgrade for organizing photos, but I haven't really found a significant amount of change here... outside of the auto curate option. I'm a little disappointed by that. There are also a few minor bugs that need to be cleaned up, but I'm assuming that a patch will address most of these.
Overall, Photoshop Elements 2018 is a good product and I'd recommend it highly if you are looking for a new solution to organize and do some basic editing. If you are upgrading from the previous version, I'd encourage you to try the software out first to see if it is a significant upgrade for you.

I was able to install this device in about 30 minutes. The instructions were not the best, and probably can improve, but they were good enough that I was able to figure it out.
The device was able to learn my garage door opener quickly. I like the convenience of being able to open the door from my phone. Being able to do this from anywhere is convenient and it's great to be able to check on the status of the garage to see if I left it open or closed.
Overall, it seems to be pretty convenient.

I wanted a trimmer that I could use to keep a beard short... just a little longer than stubble. Was looking for something that could both trim and clean up the edges to get a nice clean look. This fits the bill and gets the job done.
What I like:
- Many adjustable settings to manage length. Can easily create a fade
- Pop off the guard, and you can get a close shave that really makes it easy to trim around the upper lip, neck, etc., and keep the cheek area clean.

What could be better:
- still not as close as a regular shave with the guard off. I will continue to use the old standby for the neck.
- Wish it had a vacuum to clean up the clippings. Instead they fall into the sink... a small hassle to keep the sink clean in the bathroom, but not a big deal.

Overall, it's a great shaver and almost eliminates the need for a regular razor. It's my go-to shaver now in the morning, but I will keep my regular razor and shaving cream handy to get those lines really straight on the neck when necessary.

Great Vacuum... almost Perfect

First, let me say, that as a vacuum, the Roomba 890 is a great little vacuum cleaner. It really picks up most dirt and debris, is efficient, and if you use it regularly, it can reduce the need to vacuum the house yourself significantly.
In my house, I use this on the main floor, which is an open floor plan, and all hardwood floors. I have not used this on carpets or have taken this upstairs for a few reasons that I will get to shortly.
Overall, this little guy is a great workhorse. I had an older Roomba, which works well, but this model has rubber "brushes" which really keeps them cleaner and helps to avoid getting hair wrapped around them. From a cleaning perspective, this thing works well.
As others have observed, the Roomba operates in a somewhat random pattern to clean the room. When you watch it, it looks so inefficient, but it works. It does bump into things as it starts to figure out the layout of the room, but it learns over time, and in the end, the floors get cleaned.
Is this thing perfect... no. With my open floor plan, the little guy will just wander around and does not finish the entire floor before needing a charge. I use the lighthouse to block off the room I want it to focus on, as opposed to letting the Roomba wander around the house. Then if I want to do another room or two, I simply move the charging cradle and the roomba, and let it go off and clean the next room. I find this works better for me.
I also find that I need to Roomba proof the house a bit. I have 2 kids, which means that small toys need to be up off the floor and cords tied back so that the Roomba can maneuver best. It's not a big deal, and this guy hasn't gotten caught, but I've found a couple of accessories and small toys caught in the bin. Just need to check before emptying into the trash. This is basically why I don't use the Roomba 890 upstairs.
Overall, as a robot vacuum cleaner, it does make regular cleaning easier, and keeps the floors clean for where I use it. It won't completely replace regular vacuuming of the house for me, but it is a big help!

I love a great cup of coffee, and was skeptical that this would be significantly better than the drip coffee makers I've owned previously.
After using this for a couple of weeks, I can say that hands down this is the best coffee maker that I've ever owned. My wife and I love the flavor that this machine brews and it can really create a strong, flavorful cup of coffee.
We love the convenient features of being able to simply brew a single cup, or a travel mug, but typically we'll brew a half or full size carafe.
The permanent filter is a nice touch. No more paper filters to deal with! The machine keeps the coffee warm for about 2 hours before shutting off, but adjusts the temperature based on the amount left in the carafe, in an effort to prevent the coffee from burning. This is a nice touch, and keeps the coffee fresher while it's on.
Overall, this is a great coffee maker, and my only regret is not getting one of these sooner!

My 10 year old loved building this speaker. I loved how it taught her how sound is produced in the speaker and why the speaker works as it does. It's a great little speaker and now she has it in her room to play music on. Great little device!

Does it clean in a grid pattern or randomly?
Randomly, but it does work well, even though if you watch it go it looks pretty inefficient.
