First let me say that I have been a TIVO fan from their first DVR and have been a cord cutter for a few years now. This device caught my interest because it claims to integrate the various subscription services into one menu. This is a great idea but it is poorly executed. I have used every streaming device out there and I have say TIVO really dropped the ball on this one. Right from the start the offer to use my existing Google account during the initial setup failed. I then continued to sign in manually and setup the device for my home network. After this is when the wheels really came off. I am a Sling subscriber and found it almost impossible to wade through numerous web pages plus the setup on my Android phone Google Assistant to get Sling to work. I am embarrassed to say I spent many frustrating hours on this task. Sling, which seems to be their premier partner, refused to link. I was constantly being redirected to the Sling sign up page. All this time if I went to the Sling APP on the device my complete menu was there. Finally I saw another link on that web page to link Sling to the TIVO streamer. It now said it was linked but not all channels were there. The next morning the channels appeared. My sling account also has the additional device to integrate OTA channels via an antenna. TIVO found them but the integrated menu for Sling on the TIVO streamer is a jumbled mess in no particular order. It should look identical to the Sling APP based menu.
Some of the voice prompts failed with a generic message saying something failed and to wait and try again. That is not very useful when trying to get things to work. Also when trying to start the setup over you must again activate the device with a code presented which must be entered via a browser. This happened way too often. Yes, all web blockers had been removed from the browser least you think that was the cause of the issues of linking. The process is poorly designed.
It also appears that TIVO removed, on purpose, any connection to Alexa. I understand there is a competition here for an assistant but that feels like spite work. I am not ready to change assistants in order to use this one device without having to reach for the remote.
I decided not to move further in linking other services and to return to my another streaming device.
I so wanted to like this device but sorry to say it just did not deliver.

I always thought to purchase a digital picture frame but never followed through. I am now glad to have the Aura here in my home. I have thousands of travel pictures all on my PC, phone and in the cloud but have only printed a few. Now I can recall those trips via this beautiful High Definition digital frame. I really enjoy re-living those wonderful trips. The photos are crisp and clean and have true color. There is a slide bar on the top of the frame that provides for power on/off and changing the picture ahead of the selected time interval.
The frame is beautifully packaged and it is setup via an APP. I put the APP on both my Android phone and my iPad. I performed the easy setup via the iPad. The instructions walked me through what’s needed to put the frame on my home network and create an AURA account. Using the APP I uploaded pictures from my camera roll with just a few clicks. I then used my Android phone APP to add pictures I have stored there. Again this was quite easy to do. Now the challenge was to upload a few thousand pictures from my PC. Well, there is an AURA web page to do just that. I went to the AURA uploader web page and opened the Pictures folder on my PC and selected the pictures I wanted to upload. Now you can see I am able to combine pictures from three devices and have them all in one place on my frame. The APP also allows you to select photos directly from Google photos, unfortunately there is no similar connection to Prime Photos or other cloud based photo storage systems.
The APP also allows you to modify settings on the frame. I setup a schedule as to when to turn the frame on and off.
But there is more you can do with this frame. For example, you can gift one to Grandma and actually put pictures of the grandchildren on it from your devices without being there. You can also allow family members to add photos to the frame. Via the APP I sent out an invite to a family member to join in sharing pictures with the frame.
There is a process to pre-load pictures to the frame if you intend to give it as a gift. This is done without having to open the box. Full instructions are clearly written on the AURA web help page. I have not tried this because the frame is for me. The FAQ/Help accessed via the APP is very well written and divided into clearly defined topics. This is the best manual for an electronic device I have seen in a very long time. Shout out to their technical writers !
No pictures are stored in the frame, its all in the cloud securely so there are no limits to the number of pictures you can have displayed. Right now I have over 1500 and plan to add many more. Picture slideshow interval can be set from 15 seconds to 24 hours. I have mine at 30 seconds.
This is going to have a prominent place in my home. It will also make a great holiday gift.

Great basic set of front and rear dash cams

Nextbase 320XR with rear camera is a winner.
Everything you need is included in the box except for a high speed U3 micro SD memory card. Although it is recommended to purchase it from Nextbase I am using a generic U3 64Gig card with no issues so far.
Installation was relatively easy and they include a tool to help pull back trim in your car to route the wires. Nice touch ! The front camera mount is placed on the windshield with a strong adhesive pad. The camera then connects to the mount by way of strong magnets. Your DC power, from a cigarette lighter plug ( Im old school I know ) attaches to that base. The rear camera uses a similar adhesive pad as a mounting base and the camera is also held in place by strong magnets. The rear camera attaches to the front camera via a supplied 6 meter cable. This however makes you remove the connection when you remove the front camera to download your videos. It would have been nicer to have the rear camera also connect to the base. This installation for my car was quick and only required the included tool.
When first powered up it ran me through a quick setup. It is recommended to charge the internal battery that keeps date and time when powered down. You can download a user manual that is clearly written and has many installation tips and clearly describes the many user options on the camera.
Once setup was completed I started recording. The camera starts when power is applied via the lighter plug and turns off in about 30 seconds when you turn off the car. No need to use the on/off switch. You can choose to record sound or not. There is also a clearly marked button to press to protect the current video file from being overwritten. This removes the worry that your video file may be overwritten on a long drive. Each individual video file can be as long as 3 minutes each.
You can view videos on the camera or download Nextbase playback software for your PC. There is none for Android or IOS since there is no WiFi.. The camera appears as a drive and you can easily select them to play or edit the videos with the Windows software. It also has a zoom feature and I was able to read license plates with no issues. The video is superb for both front a rear camera ( 1080p) You can also upload your videos to the cloud to share. If needed you update your camera software via this program. As of now there is no need to update the software.
In the event of a crash the G force sensor will protect the video file from erasure. Ill take their word on that and not test it. It also has a parking feature that will record a protected video if you get bumped while parked. I tested this by moving the camera while turned off and it came up and started recording a protected video. That is a great feature.
What I would have liked to see in this camera is GPS to provide speed and location and WiFi to make it faster to download files to a smartphone or tablet and not have to rely on PC or laptop. These features may be in a more expensive model. Having said that I still believe this is a valuable product to have in each car in the household and I feel more secure having installed it in my car.

I have enjoyed several headsets in the QC line over the years and the QC 45 is no exception. It is comfortable and seems lighter than my previous headset. The sound is balanced at any playing level, clean and crisp as I would expect from Bose.
Noise canceling performs extremely well and there is an “action” button to allow you to switch between two noise canceling modes. One is quiet mode and the other is aware mode. Aware mode lets you hear your surroundings while continuing to hear your music source. This works very well.
Pairing was very easy. When I first paired with my iPAD I was prompted to download the Bose Music APP. I declined to create an account at this time but the APP assisted in pairing. I didn’t see what it was going to do for me as far as music is concerned. It does supply support information and firmware upgrades. When I paired with my Android phone I was once again prompted to download the APP. Pairing to both devices was quick and easy. I am able to stay connected to both devices at the same time thus allowing me to listen to music on the iPAD and when the phone rings it is announced in the headset and when answered I can speak via the headset. Headset buttons provide full call control. I can also easily access my personal assistant with a push of the multi function button on the headset. I wish the buttons had a tactile identification to distinguish between them.
I have been wearing the headset for a few hours now and they remain comfortable. It would not be uncomfortable to wear this headset on a long flight. The construction is of high quality. The adjustable headband puts just the right amount of pressure on the ear pads. The headset came charged at 80 percent. The battery status is announced when you turn on the headset, that's a nice touch, no guessing as to your battery charge. I have been using the headset around two hours now and the battery is at 70 percent. At this rate the battery should last 20 hours. That should be more than enough time for most users.
Two cables are provided. One is a 1 foot charge cable ( USB-C ) and the second is a 3.5 foot stereo audio cable to directly connect the headset to a music source. Sadly no power brick is supplied, which is common now.
Also included is a hard case to protect your headset when not in use.
I am thoroughly enjoying this headset and feel it will serve me well for years to come.

This is a good looking air fryer in stainless and black and does not have a large footprint. The touchscreen menu is hidden until the unit is turned on. It does more than just make french fries. It will air fry, roast, broil, bake and reheat and of course there is a quick preset for french fries! The basket is deep and leads me to believe I can roast an entire chicken or pork roast or ham. I was able to get 6 large chicken legs ( 2.5 lbs ) in the basket and they reached an internal temp of 195 degrees in 25 minutes. The bottoms that were in contact with the non stick cooking tray were not as crispy as the top of the legs. It would probably be best to turn whatever you are making half way through the cooking cycle. To fix the issue I used the broil mode for a few minutes on the reverse side of the legs and problem solved. This is a very versatile machine.
You have presets that setup time and temp for the modes of cooking mentioned above. You also have full control to change those parameters to meet you specific needs. The menu is almost fully intuitive but I did have to check the manual in order to select the various presets. Also the manual states that to turn off the fryer off immediately hit the RED Start/Pause button, or simply remove the basket. The start/pause button was not RED. It also states that at the end of the cooking cycle it will beep 5 times—it did not, it just says END on the menu and shuts off in one minute or so. While operating the air fryer it is not obnoxiously loud but you do know its on.
Along with the instruction booklet there are cooking charts for various foods and several recipes. You should be able to prepare food for three possibly four people.
I know this item will be on the counter top and be used quite often for many different meals. It is a welcome addition to my kitchen.

We all know what to expect when purchasing a Printer/Fax/Scanner. There is nothing new here in this printer. The differentiation between printers is usually based on how easy it is to setup and use, cost of inks and speed.
When I was able to download the PC software it contained basic information and some utilities as how to print, scan and fax. There is a Quick Setup Guide and Reference sheet included in the box which will get you only so far. It appears that there is so much more the printer can do but it seems the information is scattered and not concisely presented to the user.
One feature is the ability to scan documents directly to a cloud based service without having to use a PC. This worked fine after a rather convoluted sign up and printer configuration process that is poorly documented. It appears you can also print from the cloud but I never got that to work.
A Windows PC based program is included called PaperPort by Nuance that helps organize your scans. Scans are performed quickly and there is a feeder for multiple pages to be scanned. The top lid is hinged to allow for scanning books and such. The scanning is quick and you can select many quality options.
I downloaded the Brothers Android Mobile Connect and it found the printer with no issues and allows for printing and scanning from the phone. I also downloaded Brother iPrint and Scan for iPad but it was unable to detect the printer either by network discovery or by IP address. Air Print does work and I am able to easily print emails from my iPad.
It is claimed that the printer comes with a years worth on ink. The printer is indicating 1200 color pages remain and 2300 black pages remain. Be aware there are 4 cartridges that include a large black cartridge and three smaller color cartridges of Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. Replacement cost for ink is unknown at this time.
I have not sent a FAX in years so this feature was not investigated at all.
In conclusion it looks like a good fast printer/scanner with some complicated features that will take you some time to sort out. Better documentation would reduce the frustration level of getting these advanced features to work.

Coming in at around 2.5 pounds this laptop is a beauty. After the initial setup guided by Cortana the laptop downloaded a few Windows updates. What was very surprising was that it also downloaded a BIOS update. I don't know why a new laptop would require a BIOS update, however all is working perfectly after the updates.
The laptop now boots up in an incredible 11 seconds and is ready for you login via fingerprint. They keyboard has a great tactile feel and is backlit. The touchpad, which I normally do not like, does not lag your movement and has very smooth accurate trace. I find it better than any other laptop I have used and I plan on using it going forward. You also have the option to use the touchscreen.
There is no bloatware you have to remove. You do get a trial for Office and a year of Anti-Virus.
Video resolution is set at the recommended 1920x1200 and HDR video is ON by default. The video is clean and sharp and more than adequate for office type work and streaming HD video. Audio is superb and Maxx Audio Pro is included so you can tailor your sound as you wish. The onboard speakers produce a rich sound. Listening to streaming music and movies via my Bose QC headsets produced some of the best sound I have heard in a long time.
The only external connections are headphone jack, micro SD card and two of the latest Thunderbolt 4.0 ports. There are basically USB-C type ports that connect the laptop to an optional dock. Docs can provide 4K display ports, connections, standard USB-A ports, SD card readers and Ethernet connections. I have not tested that for this review but its good to know expansion is easily available.
You do not need a dock to get started since an adapter cable is included to convert a Thunderbolt 4.0 port to USB A to allow connections to peripherals such as external hard drive or thumb drive. I have used both with no issues.
I have used the laptop on Zoom and onboard video and audio reports were favorable. I also connected a Bluetooth headset which quickly and effortlessly connected.
You can see from the specs this laptop is a performer and will not become obsolete any time soon. It will be a workhorse and keep up with anything thrown at it no matter how CPU intensive it may be. I see this as a worthwhile investment.

I have been using a well known surround system connected to an AV receiver and separate subwoofer for over 20 years. I thought it was time to upgrade and I am very pleased I did.
The installation was a snap. I like the fact that the subwoofer is linked via a wireless connection already setup and linked right out of the box. The rear Left and Right speakers connect to the subwoofer via included cables. There are no speaker wires that have to be run to the sound bar itself. This makes for a nice clean installation.
The sound quality exceeded my expectations. For years I was skeptical about sound bars. I am now convinced this is the way to go in a modern home entertainment system. I don't have any product in ATMOS but I can say the 5.1 surround is immersive and the 6" subwoofer creates more than enough bass. Dialogue is clean and crisp. Its nice to know I am ready for ATMOS content.
Originally I connected the sound bar to my HDMI-ARC connection on my Sony XBR Android TV. There was an issue with intermittent sound. I researched the issue and come to find out this is known issue when using HDMI-ARC on this particular TV. The easy solution was to use the Optical Fiber connection from the TV to the soundbar. The problem is resolved and there is no change to the sound quality. BTW all cables are included. You can use an ECO mode that will turn the sound bar off after a few minutes of inactivity.
The soundbar has a special input for your personal assistant. I have my Alexa connected and its a great way to stream music via a direct wired connection. You also have the option to connect to the Soundbar via Bluetooth. I have done this from my iPad quickly and without issue. So many options to connect to this system.
The remote is unique in that it has a one line display that allows for easy navigation to options. The remote is not cluttered with buttons making it difficult to manage. Its clean and provides information in a concise clear manner. Basic EQ settings are provided and you have control of various audio levels and effects. You should refer to the included manual when settings these attributes. The manual is very easy to read and it explains all the features in clear language. It is difficult to understand the LED’s in the front of the sound bar unless you follow along in the manual, however once setup looking at the LEDs is not necessary.
It is strange however that there is no WIFI connection or an APP for this product as I have a coffee maker that's on the internet! In reality its probably not necessary given all the ways to connect media to the Soundbar.

I would consider these buds an entry level basic bud. They paired quickly with my iPad and I had some Latin music playing without any issues. The sound is a bit muddy. There is too much bass for my taste and the highs are limited as are the mids. There is no APP or ability to adjust.
I have used these buds on a facetime call and it was reported my audio was a bit muffled but perfectly understandable. The receive audio on my side was ok.
The fit is OK but not too sure how they would hold up during a workout or a run. There is no noise canceling but the fit does block outside sound. The buds come with small, medium and large ear gels to improve fit.
The charging case has magnets to ensure the buds are installed correctly for charging and a small LED flashes to tell you the charge state. Removing the buds from the case places them pairing mode. The micro usb charging cable is short at 10 inches. There is no power brick included.
All bud functions are described on an included heavy stock card. The issue here is that the buttons on each bud are mechanical and require pressure to push that is uncomfortable on my ear canal. It also has a tendency to move the bud around your ear. I would not use the features provided by these buttons.

I am thoroughly enjoying this speaker.
I placed the speaker into pairing mode and it was quickly paired with my iPad. It could not have been easier.
There is an APP for both IOS or Android. The APP give you access to additional features, I especially like the equalizer. There are presets and you can create your own settings if desired.I created my own with some extra high frequency added. The APP also gives you access to several light effects or turn the lights off. The APP also provides volume control.

I only have one Flare 2 but you can link many of them together if desired in what they call PartyCast mode.
I can go from Sinatra standards to Latin Jazz with full rich sound and I can add a little more bass with a push of a button on the unit itself. The 360 degree sound is very different from the directional sound from my other Bluetooth speakers. I didn't know I needed this until this speaker came along! It fills the room and looks good in its black material and its accent lighting as it does it. It is claimed it is waterproof should there be rain on your party, this I have not verified.
While paired with my iPad I can summon SIRI with the push of a button on the speaker. That is very convenient.
I have also paired the speaker with my Echo dot for a more full sound while streaming.

Are the rechargeable batteries removable?
It does not look like there is a way for the user to open the keyboard to replace the battery.
