I’ve tried a number of air purifiers over the years, but I have to say, this is the best one I’ve ever had!
The Auto setting defaults to just about everything you could ask of such a device: it tests the air and runs at a level required to clean it quickly, it ionizes to remove germs during the day, it quiets down and dims its lights at nighttime, and reverts to Eco mode once the air quality is great in order to save energy - all with no adjustments on my part.
The filter is an all-in-one combo of HEPA, carbon (for smells), and anti-bacterial. It’s easy to replace and should last 6-8 months, depending on use.
Mostly, I like how quiet it is. Once the air is clean, the fan runs on low, which is practically silent. It shuts off on Eco mode, which then retests the air every ten minutes, and runs again as needed.
The ambient light is stylish and color-coded to the level of air quality. You can set the brightness to three levels or turn it off.

This is my first Arlo device, so I may be slower than familiar users, but this was an easy setup right out of the box. The camera is small, light, and unobtrusive. It comes with a mounting plate, if you want a more permanent installation on a wall or surface.
It comes with a built-in shutter “privacy” cover which is easy to open and close with the Arlo app.
Connecting to Wifi was quick and easy, and since it’s hardwired and plugged into an outlet, there’s no concern about batteries running down.
I was impressed by the wide angle field of view (130º!) and the clear sharp HD image.
This is an indoor-only camera, but that’s how I plan to use it, so it’s perfect.

The display is one of the biggest highlights for this laptop. It is incredibly crisp and the refresh rate helps make games look smooth if they can handle it. Although it could technically handle higher settings, I found myself turning it down slightly because I preferred that smoother movement over having the highest possible shadow physics (and it still looked great).
For watching videos and movies, the HD display and colors shine through beautifully.
The screen itself is quite thin which at first seemed really nice since it feels sleek and not bulky like many other gaming laptops, but then I became a bit concerned when closing the laptop and I noticed I could see it bend when I’m pulling from one corner. This doesn’t seem like it’s been an issue, but may be something worth some caution.
I found myself using a separate mouse as the trackpad is sometimes inconsistent and doesn’t pick up your initial click.
Completely the opposite of the trackpad, the keyboard is extremely responsive both for gameplay and for standard use. That said, the layout is a bit odd with the sound controls on the right side. I found myself regularly missing the enter and backspace keys, expecting them to be at the edge.
Heat dispersal is pretty good for what it is; it manages to keep the heat away from the keyboard, but can definitely heat up your lap or whatever surface you place it on while using it. Considering the power of the processor and the graphics card in this laptop, heat management is well engineered!
The battery life is not great for extended gameplay, so definitely be sure to keep the brightness down and try not to play anything too intensive if you cannot stay plugged in wherever you are.
The built in camera and microphone are both very solid.
Setup *should be* a breeze, with built-in Cortana voice prompts and speech recognition for startup. I made the mistake of attaching an external monitor before starting up for the the first time. After several hours of idling, I Googled it and found that NO peripherals should be connected at startup. This could have been noted somewhere. After my initial troubles, startup was fast and smooth!

I confess, I love most everything Logitech makes, but this iPad Combo Touch case is a thing of beauty.
The first thing I noticed was the feel of the material - cloth like - somewhere between silk and canvas. It’s just so nice to hold!
Then I noticed how well made, yet compact it is. There’s great edge and corner protection, but the footprint is extremely slim.
You can use it in multiple modes with or without the detachable, magnetic keyboard. The display portion of the case has a versatile kickstand for viewing or drawing. The keyboard has a wonderfully large track pad that supports click-anywhere as well as gestures like pinch and tap. The keys have just the right response for typing at speed and my favorite thing, they are backlit!
Some of the little features are also worth noting. The case draws its power from your iPad itself, so there are no batteries to charge. You can also charge your Apple Pencil when the case is on using the notch at the top of the case. The magnet that holds the display to the keyboard is very strong and yet, it’s easy to separate the two when you want. You can use them separately, together, or by flipping the keyboard over, as a solid unit for reading, with the keys safely tucked *inside*!
Overall, with the features of the iPad Pro and this case, you have all the power of a laptop in an incredibly compact design.

These JLAB JBuds are really in their own category. They don’t go in your ears; they attach to the frames of your glasses or sunglasses. As someone who never finds earbuds fit well, these are a great alternative. The sound is basically projected into your ears from the buds. The sound quality is good, considering it’s not in your ear. I found the Bass Boost to really just be a Less Trebel setting, but the overall frequency response in either mode was fine for listening to tunes on a walk or while sitting still.
The buds clip onto almost any frames, although I found my regular glasses, which have cylindrical stems, were a little tricky to get the clips to go over. The buds also come with little silicone sleeves that slip over the clips for very thin stems, but they didn’t help with my problem. Thus the one star ding.
They also come with a nice soft, padded case that hold the buds, the sleeves, the charging cable, if you like, and still has room for your sunglasses. I thought this was a great idea, as an alternative to the ubiquitous charging case. The buds themselves have magnetic connectors for the charging cables. I was unhappy to see that they were not reversible. You can attach them only one way or the magnet doesn’t work. Run time is said to be eight hours, which if true, will be great!
You can use them to answer a phone call with a single click or summon Siri or Google with a double click. Each bud has only one button, which is nice and simple, but multiple options means using the left or right button and single-, double-, or triple-clicks to maximize the features. Not hard, but does take some getting used to.
For the price point, I found these buds to be a great deal.

I haven’t had a new monitor in a few years, so I was super impressed by how much they have improved. This 27” monitor from HP is so light and easy to adjust. The tilt is perfect for setting the viewing angle for users of different heights. The stand is solid and holds the monitor firmly.
The brightness of the screen is excellent and easily adjusted. I use it for video work, so the color accuracy, which is excellent, is very important to me.
I especially like the always-on blue light filter, since I can spend a lot of hours staring at my display. An excellent monitor all around.
I really appreciate that is comes with an HDMI cable!

This trimmer is a professional-grade device. It’s long battery life means that it’s pretty hefty in size, but that’s a nice tradeoff.
The trimmer let’s you set a trim length from “five o’clock shadow” to zero. Sounds imprecise? Well, yeah. There’s an easy adjustment under the trimmer head that let’s you set the blades from very close to less close using a small rotating dial. It doesn’t use numbers or clicks, so the length is what you like. Once set, it’s easy to stick with it and know it’ll always be the same.
There’s also a convenient hanging hook that you can hide or flip out to use.
The trim with this device is intentionally very precise. You can use it to even sideburns or carve your initials!
It holds a long charge; reportedly 8 hours and can also be used with the included charging cord.
A brush for cleaning the head and blade oil is also included. A very nice trimmer altogether.

This blender is a sweet combination of smoothie maker and food processor. The bowl is squatter than a traditional blender, but larger than a traditional food processor bowl. It handles chopping and dough making as well as more typical tasks like smoothies and frozen drinks with ease.
I like the simple control knob that turns to select from the six presets and presses to start the automatic cycle. Of course, you can pulse and go full manual as well.
Both the dough maker and the regular blade have the excellent Ninja multi-level design that moves everything in the bowl in order to blend the contents evenly.
It’s a little loud, but for its size and power, I have no problem with that!

Having a dog means occasional stains, but who wants to own a huge carpet cleaner or rent one? I initially thought the narrow width of this cleaner would make it less useful, but I’ve changed my mind. It’s great for hitting up a few stained spots or for cleaning a narrow hallway carpet. It’s light and easy to carry up and down stairs.
Putting it together was a quick and easy; you do need to attach the handle with two included screws, so a Philips screwdriver is required, but assembly is easy and the documentation is very clear.
The packaging was mostly eco-friendly, cardboard and pulp board dividers. I would have liked to see the components in paper wrapping rather than plastic bags.
Again, the usage manual was nice: clearly written, well-illustrated, direct, and very well organized. It even pointed you to videos if you don’t like to read!
Using the cleaner is simpler than some carpet cleaners I’ve used. Two foot pedals control the power and release the handle from an upright position. A long cord makes for better maneuvering in larger areas. A clean water tank is easy to fill with warm water and cleaning solution. A clear tank for the waste water lets you see that you’re getting up the dirt. I was very impressed with the cleaning power of this little machine. The vacuum was strong, but not too loud.
Emptying the tank when you’re done is also quick and easy with bright green release catches and a well-placed handle to carry the tank. Clean up is simple, and the collapsible handle makes for more convenient storage.
I’m a big fan of Bissell products: they pay attention to detail, produce quality and affordable products, and provide good documentation. That said, if I could change one thing on this machine it would be to mirror their Crosswave cleaners that give you measurements for a large or small amount of water and cleaner. Sometimes you just need to clean up a small mess.
