Having a dog means occasional stains, but who wants to own a huge carpet cleaner or rent one? I initially thought the narrow width of this cleaner would make it less useful, but I’ve changed my mind. It’s great for hitting up a few stained spots or for cleaning a narrow hallway carpet. It’s light and easy to carry up and down stairs.
Putting it together was a quick and easy; you do need to attach the handle with two included screws, so a Philips screwdriver is required, but assembly is easy and the documentation is very clear.
The packaging was mostly eco-friendly, cardboard and pulp board dividers. I would have liked to see the components in paper wrapping rather than plastic bags.
Again, the usage manual was nice: clearly written, well-illustrated, direct, and very well organized. It even pointed you to videos if you don’t like to read!
Using the cleaner is simpler than some carpet cleaners I’ve used. Two foot pedals control the power and release the handle from an upright position. A long cord makes for better maneuvering in larger areas. A clean water tank is easy to fill with warm water and cleaning solution. A clear tank for the waste water lets you see that you’re getting up the dirt. I was very impressed with the cleaning power of this little machine. The vacuum was strong, but not too loud.
Emptying the tank when you’re done is also quick and easy with bright green release catches and a well-placed handle to carry the tank. Clean up is simple, and the collapsible handle makes for more convenient storage.
I’m a big fan of Bissell products: they pay attention to detail, produce quality and affordable products, and provide good documentation. That said, if I could change one thing on this machine it would be to mirror their Crosswave cleaners that give you measurements for a large or small amount of water and cleaner. Sometimes you just need to clean up a small mess.

This device has great power for a cordless vac. As a shaggy dog owner, I can say that the roller in the carpet head picked up more hair than my central vac and, by design, did not get wrapped in hair. The accessory tools designed to remove pet hair also worked well.
In fact, I liked the well-thought-out design of this vac in several ways. It’s easy to change it’s form factor from floors and carpet cleaner to hand-held device in seconds. The connections are quick, simple, and secure. The tools, that come standard, cover all manner of cleaning (crevice tool, pet brush, etc.) but I liked the specially-designed tool for dusting. (Something I hate…) It’s shape and angle make it easy to clean dust off of surfaces and it can be rotated to clean things overhead like valences and ceiling fans.
The filtering system uses three separate stages to collect dust. Felt and sponge filters keep the dust inside the device and a HEPA filter pulls out fine particles. Using this vac did not bother my allergies at all! All three filters are easy to remove, clean, and replace.
Near the handle is a trigger-like switch for “Boost” mode. I found the extra vacuum power provided this way made me want to use it all the time. Sadly, this extra power drains the battery in about 10 minutes, but it can’t be beat for a big mess. This brings me to my only major concern: the box touts “up to 60 minutes run time.” This marketing-department hyperbole seems destined to disappoint most users. Average run time is much less. I’d rather see a more realistic claim. Or emphasize the easy-to-change battery for the Model IZ462H. Better yet, include an extra one!
But overall, this is a great cordless vac and shows how much they have improved recently. I also like how it folds up for storage; it looks a little like R2D2!
Finally, I have to praise the thought given to packaging. So many multi-part devices like a vacuum ship with styrofoam and little plastic bags, creating a lot of trash. This device comes well-packed in cardboard, with individual components wrapped in heavy paper bags and even sealed with paper tape, making for easy recycling.

I’ve had a robot vacuum for the past four years and have gotten used to the things you need to do to get the most out of it.
So it came as a pleasant surprise to find that things had improved in those four years! The Shark R201 has many things to recommend it: it’s much quieter, doesn’t bump into things in order to find its way around, learns the layout of space it’s cleaning and gets more efficient about it, and best of all, doesn’t need to be cleaned of pet fur after every use.
I’ll start with that last one. We have a dog that leaves a fair amount of fur around the living room. The roller on the R201 is specially designed NOT to wind the fur around itself. I was skeptical of this claim, but was truly pleased to see that it’s true! No more daily cleaning of the rollers!
In terms of quiet, I think there are two things that matter: the overall sound of the machine, which is certainly lower, but also the fact that it’s “laser vision” really works to keep it from bumping into things and making noise.
“Home mapping” begins the first time you start the R201; it doesn’t clean, but instead, wanders your house learning the corners and crannies. The next time out, it does a cleaning and uses it’s internal map to do a more systematic job. Instead of wandering back and forth, like my old model, it goes up and down in rows - much like a lawnmower. The result is a more thorough cleaning. You can view the map and make changes to it. For example, you can name the rooms, correct spaces, and set off-limits areas - like the dog’s water dish.
I have only a few quirks to list. One is the the setup on the app. Although the app is well designed and got me up and running quickly, it was clearly not tested on a variety of phones. Mine is a very popular, if slightly older iPhone and the app displayed so badly on it, that the text was unreadable. I had to guess at what the steps were for setup. Secondly, the “AI” seems to have some trouble with “cliffs,” that is, the tops of stairs. It’s smart enough to not fall down them, but hesitates to an extreme degree and spends several minutes navigating the three foot stretch. I thought this would improve with practice, but was disappointed to see it happen just the same everyday. I tried to find an answer on Shark support with no luck.

A very capable blender. Makes great smoothies and crushes ice well. Six cup, glass jar is a great size for one or two servings; the included travel is excellent for a make-and-run drink.
The blade is made to work harder than a traditional design, but the overall setup requires caution for assembly and cleaning, since you have to insert the gasket over the sharp blade.
Obviously not for use by children, but a very nice blender for the price!

I’ve been using a different air fryer for years and always appreciated how well it did for quite a range of foods — not just fries, but meats, and mixed dished like fajitas. But it was big and I had to either deal with it on the counter or haul it out when I wanted to use it.
The Ninja Foodi is slightly smaller for the same capacity, but it certainly takes up a good portion of counter space. But in my case, it’s earned that space!
The unit is well designed, easy to use, and looks good. Best of all it can do so much more that airfry. You can use it to reheat, roast, and even dehydrate!

The single best feature, though, is the Smart Finish. You can load up the dual bins with two different foods — think meat and vegetables — cook them at different temps for different times and the machine figures out how to finish them at the same time. In the same way, Match Cook let’s you cook the same things in both bins while only setting the controls for one of them and telling the other bin to do the same.
Overall, the controls are straightforward and well thought out. It makes great “fried” chicken and of course tasty French fries.

As a video editor, I’ve tried a number of mice, searching for one that gives you the control you need to quickly and accurately navigate video editing software. I think I’ve found the ideal candidate in the Logitech - MX Master 3 Wireless Laser Mouse.
It fits your hand so well, my days of carpel tunnel issues may be over. It responds so smoothly, that scrolling though hundreds of video assets, or trying to fine-tune a clip is dramatically improved.
The mouse works with several apps, like MS Excel, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Photoshop right out of the box, providing great shortcuts for navigating these programs. It was amazing to fly through a huge spreadsheet, find an area to be worked on, and then have super-fine control over navigation! You can also program the mouse buttons to match your preferences.
This mouse should run for 70 days on a full charge or three hours on a one minute charge, The USB-C charging cable is included.
I’d say this is just about the most well-thought out mouse I’ve ever used for improving productivity.

I haven’t had a new mouse in a few years, so I had no idea that they had improved so much! This little wonder looks nice (comes in your choice of four fun color patterns), runs for a year on one AA battery, and is incredibly accurate.
Setup is a breeze with the included USB receiver, which also works with up to six compatible wireless devices. The mouse feels great in your hand and is small enough to fit in your pocket.

This is a very well-thought out device. It’s compact, stores in its own charger that sticks to the oven or fridge, and communicates with your phone or tablet.
It’s design is smart, modern, and easy to clean.
I’ve used it in the oven with a chicken, and tonight, on the grill and was very pleased with the results. It comes with a convenient tool to remove it from your dish without burning your fingers.
The Yummly app looks very promising! You can personalize recipe selections based on your likes (think Italian, Mexican, or Thai), your limitations (think vegan, gluten free) and your dislikes (think cilantro - yuk!) Nice to browse knowing you’ll see recipes you’d like to make based on you preferences.

This mouse feels so nice; like an extension of your hand. The scroll ball and buttons are smooth and quiet, yet give you positive tactile feedback.
Setup was simple and quick. I really like that it takes care of itself — powers down when not in use, has a long range, and excellent battery life.
I’m always impressed with Logitech’s excellent design and careful attention to detail.

Just one - it combines particle (for dust etc.), carbon (for odors), and HEPA for fine particulates. It can’t be washed but can be vacuumed to make it last longer. It’s supposed to last a year or more.

Yes. It even comes with a phone cord. This is probably great for offices that still fax and have a dedicated line, but many homes don't have landlines any more.
