This machine dispenese Bleach too early.

I had purchased the Samsung pair, Washer DV448GP & Dryer DV448AGP. There was a problem with my clothes when I washed with bleach on two loads. so the second time before turning the machine on. I had loaded the soap and the beach to the dispenser. When I closed the tray, I had noticed that the dispenser had already started releasing the bleach, while the machine was off. The clothes were already damaged at this point.
I had called Samsung customer service, explaining what had happened. The Samsung Rep. had stated, that by design this machine will release the bleach immediately because it makes the chemical more effective. This washer does not have a time release for the bleach. Needless to say,
Samsung had not inquired, or was not concerned about how much damage this design had done to my clothes, or what it cost me. I probably will not buy any Samsung products. Bestbuy Reps were customer oriented, and showed deep concern about the product and the customer.
Bestbuy will always have my business, because of the customer support
I will not recommend any Samsung products to anyone.
What's great about it: It is quiet
What's not so great: It will dispenes Bleach immediately before wash damaging clothes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm very satisfied with the washer. However, the dryer is disappointing. Large items like comforters, sheets, etc ball up and don't dry unless you open the machine and separate every 5 minutes. I follow the tips for drying large items, putting towels in with them, etc. I'm sorry now that I did not return them and buy the Electrolux.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Not much better than the 12 year old unit it replaced
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Avoid the leaky Samsung Washer!

The washer was delivered in June. Since then, we have had multiple service calls and even more calls to Samsung customer service to express our dissatisfaction for the fact that the washer leaks water every time we wash clothes. First repair was to replace the ring around the washer door (which was defective from the factory). Then it started leaking from under the washer and has continued since. Unvelievably bad customer service. One representative says one thing and the next one has a completely different story. In addition, Samsung can't seem to get a reputable repair company to schedule and perform a repair.
Stay away from this washer unless you don't mind have towels sopping up the water from the leaks! For the price, unbelievable problems and even worse service.
What's great about it: Looks great
What's not so great: Leaks water!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very disappointing

The wash cycles are ridiculously long and don't get clothes any cleaner than other machines I've owned. The exterior is not durable, I have had it for less than six months and the top of the washer is scratched from placing a plastic laundry basket on top. I have had a chronic problem with soap and bleach leaking down the front of the machine, which got under the panel and caused rust and they won't replace the panel saying it's "cosmetic". The machines don't vibrate much but that is because they are so incredibly heavy ... forget ever moving them yourself to clean behind or for that matter to redecorate. The door hinge on the washer cannot be flipped if you need your dryer to sit on the left, which then means you are working around the door to put your clothes in the dryer. This machine is not worth 1/3 the price I paid for it. For service you have to call Samsung, then they call the dealer and the dealer calls you, which all just delays someone getting out to you. The matching dryer is worse ... read review. I'll sell you mine if you really want one of these machines.
What's great about it: The color ... that's it!

5 loads so far. nice looking concerned about how well it cleans against a top loading..jurys still out. easy to use and will steam. Oh so very Quiet(next to baby's room)

Samsung Worst Customer Support

This machine is so loud that you cnnot concentrate on reading in an adjacent room. The vibration is so bad that pictures fall off the wall and it moves you chair in an adjacent room. This is our third Samsung washer and dryer since Sep 09 as there have been problems with all of them whether it was dents, scratches, computer problems, off/on switch not working, paint not matching, vibration or noise. When issues have been brought up to Samsung customer service, their immediate response is that their machines have no problems. Our nearest Samsung qualified repair person is located in Atlanta and we have had them come down to Macon to check out the machines. Samsung has been nonresponsive and will not take responsibility for a defective product. If not for a good Best Buy store and staff, we would have a severe problem in trying to work out the problem with Samsung. We would recommend anyone buying a Samsung product to buy the extended warranty as you will need it.
What's great about it: Looks good, plenty of features
What's not so great: Noise and vibration
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
