Yes. It will work. Keeps all necessary ports free. The downside is that it doesn't have a strap to keep it closed or magnet

It does not activate the Smart Cover feature. I don't find it a big deal to turn on or off the iPad manually.

No, this is not a smartcover so it will not wake/sleep the iPad when the cover is opened/closed.

No, it will not. When you close it, the Bluetooth keyboard shuts off automatically, but not the iPad. The magnets are quite strong, so it will stay shut though. You either have to turn off the iPad or let it go to sleep on its own.

It is not hard at all to remove the case. Gently pull back 2 of the corners (one at a time) which hold it in place and it should come right out.
