Hi JP, though I don't have specific experience with Casper, but I have used different enterprise-level imaging tools, I would recommend against this attempt, mainly because you would probably end up spending (wasting) lot of time getting all the old drivers, software and system parameters/settings to function properly in the new hardware. But from a technical standpoint, you probably need a bootable USB stick to boot up and start Casper tool and then re-image the Surface Pro 2's SSD from the backup disk drive, but there is only one USB port, the bootable USB stick needs to have enough space to hold the image backup. This is going to tiring for you, sigh!
