I would think not but it would not hurt to ask someone in the store. Hit up youtube for instructional videos on how to do it yourself if need be. As long as you have a spare power plug (data cable is included) it is just a simple matter of hooking up both. The power plug comes from the power supply unit box ( has multiple cables coming out of it) and the sata port will be located on the mother board in various places. Both connections are shaped like a sideways L and cannot be connected incorrectly.
If your PS4 has standard SATA connectors it should work fine. Do not know the format requirements so I can't speak to that. I note that the PS4 is SATA II - this drive loves SATA III so you may not get the ultimate performance that it is capable of.
No. This is a 3.5" drive for desktop computers. The PS4 requires a 2.5" drive usually designated as a laptop computer hard drive and the drive itself must be no thicker than 9mm. This currently restricts you to a 2TB hard drive made by Seagate as all other manufacturers and higher capacity drives are too thick to fit in the PS4.
Yes but you need to format it to for the type of files that the nvr saves it in. as some of the nvr save the files in NTFS. You can use Easeus partition master if you are using windows 10.
It is definitely compatible with any Xbox One system. I have it on my original Xbox One and my cousin just bought the same hard drive and it using it on his Xbox One S.
If it is USB 3.0 or higher than yes you can just use one of the USB ports and just follow the prompts on the screen. I suggest having your Xbox on when you plug it in.
The drive is solid so it does not revolve like the other drive does. This increases it's effectiveness for both the battery life and the speed of the computer.
It's not a USB drive, its a full size internal drive. If you put it in a case you could add it as external but its likely too big to go inside the laptop.
No, this drive is not an external mechanism. This is not appropriate for use to transfer files between a laptop and a desktop computer. You will need an external (USB) drive or a flash drive, depending on the size of the files you wish to transfer.
