This is Joyce from GE. Tide HE has been optimized to work best in the low water levels of HE washers like the GE Profile™ Series Harmony. It is recommended but not required.

Liquid or powder HE or High Efficiency detergent deliver superior cleaning performance while saving water and energy. HE detergents are specially formulated for high efficiency washers (such as GE Profile™ Series Harmony) to provide excellent whitening, stain removal and clothes care.

A low-sudsing formula will allow you to use a full scoop of detergent to get your clothes clean without creating suds you don’t need.

Hello, This is Joyce from GE. I will be happy to help. The Prewash cycle should be used for removing surface dirt from heavily soiled clothes. Make sure to reset the washer and choose your washer cycle selection when the Prewash cycle is complete. Note: The washer will not automatically continue into a regular cycle once the Prewash cycle is complete. You must reset the controls to the cycle you choose. The auto soak is approximately 30 minutes and then the washer goes into the cycle. If you want to soak your clothes overnight you would need to start the cycle, add detergent, let it fill and then press the start/pause button. As long as you come back to the unit within 24 hours this will work to soak your clothes. The washer will automatically drain after 24 hours. I hope this helps! Thanks so much for checking with us. Hello- This is Lisa from GE. I am happy to assist you. Make sure your shipping rod has not been left in. Also moving the washer without the rod in place or the washer not being leveled properly will cause noise issues. You may hear the following normal noises during the spin cycle:

Sucking/Slurping/Gurgling
These noises during the drain and early in the spin cycle are caused by the pump extracting water from the clothes.
The noise will diminish toward the end of the spin once the pump has removed all the water from the clothes.

Swishing/Swooshing/Roaring/Train
These noises are caused by the water and/or suds being trapped between the basket and the tub during the spin cycle.
These noises should go away as the pump eliminates all the remaining water and/or suds.
