Yes it is. It is unlocked and also uses GSM. You can use it even on ATT or Tmobile in the US just by inserting another SIM card. I have used it with ATT in the US, Etisalat in Dubai, and Vodaphone in the UK. I never had to unlock it or anything. It may give you a messsage that the sim is not supported or something like that but it still works anyway.by

Hi! Thanks for your question.This phone is only sold at Best Buy locked to the carrier, and there is no possible way to ever unlock it.Most phones sold in U.S.A. today are locked to a carrier. The same is for the phones we sell. I have provided a link to the unlocked Note 2 we sell. If it has a carriers name in the title, it is locked to that carrier. If it has unlocked in the title, it is unlocked. These phones can be used on any GSM SIM card carrier, anywhere around the world.

The phone is 16 gig with expandable memory. There is a place to add an additional memory chip. I added a32 gig chip to expand the memory to a total of 48 gig. Not that I'll ever need all of that!by

Best Buy can transfer your information while you are in their store. It only takes a few minutes and is an easy process. We recently purchased 4 smartphones and transferred the phone numbers, text and any other data needed on all 4 phones. It was an easy process.by

You would need to contact your carrier for detailed compatiblity information. The Galaxy Note II is, however, global-ready and compatible with both CDMA and GSM networks.As far as delivery is concerned, Best Buy does not ship internationally at the current time. International customers do have the option of placing an order on BestBuy.com for pickup at one of our U.S. retail stores or for delivery to a U.S. residental address.
