No, it is Absolutely NOT chilled. The 30 year old GE we got rid of dispensed ice and chilled water from the door so never knew to even ask whether the water would be chilled. We thought something was wrong with the refrigerator but opening the manual - it actually says the water is not chilled. I placed call to Frigidare to invite them into 2017, but we will be returning ours.by

When they came out to deliver fridge from Best Buy, they had to install the water line which only took them less than half hour! They do charge xtra for water line installation of $129 I believe it was.by

Ace Hardware sells a kit that includes the tubing, compression fitting, and tap valve that you need. As long as you have access to a cold water pipe (copper) it is an easy process.by

If the line is in place from a previous fridge, hooking it up could not be easier. If not, there are simple kits available the will allow you to install a line from underneath the sink. You'll likely have to drill a couple of small holes inside cabinet walls between the sink and fridge. You will need to be able to shut off the water at the meter or at a valve under the sink to tap a supply line. Pretty easy stuff if you don't want the expense of a plumber and are limber enough to work under the sink.by

Very simple to do it yourself, however if you purchase the extended warranty and you hook it up yourself, if there are any issues with the hook up, it isn't covered under warranty you purchased. But just for the hook up. Everything else is still covered.9 years, 4 months ago

No, the BestBuy guys did the hook up in 5 minutes, but if they didn't it's only a matter of plugging in to the power supply and hooking up one hose, so all you need is one wrenchby

The ice maker is shipped from the factory with the wire signal arm in the ON position (side mounted) or with the switch turned ON (rear mounted). 0And you hit the option on the left for settings down to the freezer temp. Then use the arrows on the right to adjust the temp. Hit set for it to apply the setting.

Hey dallas! The recommended setting for the temperature within the refrigerator is 0°F for the freezer and 37°F for the fresh food side. You can use the up and down arrow on the front control panel display to change the temperature. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. –Thanks!-by

My installers said that the doors of the fridge could be removed if it would not fit into the door. But, the installers are really good about maneuvering the fridge on an angle to fit thru tight spaces.by

Yes the doors can be removed. With the doors on the depth is 32 inches with the doors removed the depth drops to just 28 inches. Also with the top hinges removed the height drops to 69 inches.8 years, 5 months ago
